If anyone is good at quilting, I had these clients who made old shirts into quilts (and a quick google search shows a ton of companies who do this) and I plan on doing that with my favorite baby outfits from Ellie's first year. So if you can't bear to part with some onesies, make them into a quilt for their bed!
Me me me me meeeeee. Quilting is all I do. Hit me up with any questions
Ok but no really, you need to see those. Everything I know, I learned from Disney. How to make pancake airplanes and how to drive... you know, the good stuff.
I'm diving into the world of essential oils- any other hippies out there using them too?
Tea tree oil for cleaners and diaper rash cream; Lavender for scrubs, body creams; Lemon for cleaning; Peppermint for my dogs hip dysplasia. Oh and love me some Castile soap!

On the quilting tip I would really like a quilt of some of Ps outfits that he's outgrown..
@PoppySeedWindsor is that possible?
Outfit quilts seem pretty easy as long as you are down with cutting them into squares. If you want a tessalation of onesies or something, that would be crazy.
I plan to make one after we are done having kids. But for now the outgrown outfits go into storage.
I love that you used the word tessalation!
On another note, guess who's working from home on a Friday night... womp womp. L-)
I just found out DH has never seen "Bedknobs and Broomsticks"
I'm not sure who I married anymore...
A few weeks ago I found out DH had a step mom and step sisters when he was little. Apparently his dad was only married to the woman for a short time. Still, we have been married for almost 8 years! How did I not know this!?
It was 3 years before I knew DH had a half sister. I talk to her more than he does...
I love when I catch DS right as he is getting hungry. I lay him on my lap facing me and his facial expression kills me. His face screams "OMG MILK! How did you know it's my favorite!"
When I lay DD on my lap while I get my boob out, she gets all squirmy and eager cries, like "Gimme, gimme, gimmie." It's the cutest thing ever. Also when I put her in the carseat she gets big eyes and "talks" to me like she's trying to convince me to take her out again. Sometimes, my overactive imagination gives her way more conversational skills than she actually has...

This! Do you use a specific brand of oils? I have used "young living" for many years, absolutely love them.
Quick little cleaning tip...I put a few drops of whatever oil ( usually lemon in the summer, Christmas spirit or peppermint in the winter, cinnamon bark in the fall, and peace and calming in the spring) on a cotton round and put it in my vacuum before I sweep the house. The house smells fantastic afterwards, and it's so much better than spraying air fresheners. You can also add 10 or so drops of any oil in a spray bottle of water and use it as a room spray, just be sure to shake it before every use.
Great tip! I use Doterra and whatever brand they sell at whole foods!

Attempting the crib tonight!! I should have done this a long time ago, G is way too big for the RnP. However my lack of help has made me postpone it, but tonight I will power through!
Anybody else getting weird non-formatted crap at the top of this site if you're on an iPad? Every other website is fine but this one. I shut down the browser and re-opened but it didn't help.
Yup - only if I use Safari though, which of course is my go to browser to Bump on the iPad, since I can actually edit text in my comments... It's going to make bumping on the weekends difficult if it doesn't get fixed, because I rarely use anything else but the iPad when I'm home.
Dh just had DS fall asleep to heavy metal and I just made a bunch of cloth wipes and insert. Now I just need to make the wipe water/oil stuff @RedDawnsRevenge gave me a recipe(?) for. My younger self would die as to the hippie I'm turning into.
I never dreamed I'd be married with kids. In HS I always thought I'd become an OB, possibly marry my sweetheart so my initials could be Dr. PMS, then retire to be the crazy lady picking herbs in the Forrest. This is as hippie as DH will let me get I'm afraid, and my initials will never be PMS.

The stupid mobile app has been preventing me from commenting on my favorite overpriced hobby, quilting. I loveeeeee quilting! I made four while I was pregnant-that was my major nesting rather than cleaning.
Anyways, onesie/tshirt quilts are a pain, only because you have to iron stuff on them so they don't stretch and get weird. I'm thinking about doing that quilt where there are a bunch of hearts and each heart is a onesie fabric... I'll find a picture when I'm not in this POS app.
@RedDawnsRevenge RE: sewing machines. If you are wanting to get a high quality sewing machine and not a piece of crap plastic one look at the Berninas. They are still made like the old school ones, all metal. Plus they have a 20 year warranty. They are quite pricey, but they last forever. I just got one a year ago and I love it.
@mamrotu Where did you find Dr. Suess books in French?!?
DH on his way out of Texas back to Illinois tonight. Then it's into NC and the start of new things. I really hope and pray things will be as good as his freind says it will be. If this works out we will pay off bills and have health insurance! The best part will of course being back together as a whole family.
Sooooo tonight I offered this 38w pregnant chick I know a glass of iced tea. She glared at me and said, "I can't have caffeine!" Like I'm some kind of fucking moron.
This is the same person who honestly considered naming her daughter "Lyme". And she thinks she's only taking 3w of maternity leave. And she said she's going to go to the gym every night for an hour after work.
Fffffffff
Eta: I'd say I'm sorry for her husband, but he's a total prick.

She can't have caffeine because she used up all her points on crack. I thought that too the first time. Then Bam! ECS! I took 7weeks of completely unpaid maternity leave after my C/S with DD1. If I hadn't have been the bread winner I would have given a limb for more time.
You are making me want to break out my sewing machine. I borrowed my friends old Singer right before DS was born. When she needed it back, I went out and got a Jenome. I love my machine, but I don't use it enough.

FFS this chick I know who has a May 14 baby just posted a photo of her kid in his bouncer that's placed on a patio chair, on a deck with no rails, next to their 2 hyper dogs.
How does that sound like a good choice?!

Wow. I was going to say, why would she post a picture of that, but if she's dumb enough to do it, she's not going to worry about posting a photo.

We got a starter kit with 10 oils plus a few others.
Maybe we need an EO thread...
