Took my mom out to dinner last night (mmm king crab) and she offered to take Quinn overnight once EVERY TWO WEEKS say whaaaaaaaat?!
I was all 'that's pretty often, what about once a month?' but she's insisting. Amazeballs! He's having his first sleepover tomorrow night, because we're having our annual summer bash with friends. I'm so excited to sleep allllllll day Sunday ahhh.
ETA - should this be a FFFC? Lol
Enjoy it! I told DH that he is taking DS when he wakes up at o-fuck-thirty on Sunday morning and if I hear from them before 10 I will not be responsible for my actions. Sleep, sweet, glorious sleep!
I'm nursing and eating my breakfast: a bagel-egg-cheese sandwich. For a minute there I forgot what was on my plate, and when I saw it out of the corner of my eye I got all excited that it was actually a half eaten glazed doughnut.
Sabra tomato basil hummus is disappointing. Tastes like tomato paste even the parts without the Sundried tomato I wanted my lunch more before I tasted it
In considering getting stop and shop pea pod service. I'm sure it's ridiculously expensive but I don't want to deal with the mess that is hannaford right now
I don't understand any of this? What's a hannaford?

I'm assuming hannaford is a town that is having some sort of traffic creating hoopla that she doesn't want to get into so she is ordering delivery groceries

Don't do it! I speak from experience and it sucked. The produce was terrible!

Pea pod is a home delivery service from the grocery store Stop & Shop. Hannaford is a different grocery store chain, and is probably the store that is absorbing the most new customers who have been displaced due to a huge region-wide boycott of the cheapest grocery store in our area (Market Basket). Hannaford is crazy busy now and she doesn't want to brace the crowds in the aisles.

Aw, boo! We make hummus at home all the time now that I've realized how cheap and easy it is. Can of chickpeas, (I found a recipe that adds corn and now I add it to every batch, it makes it less dense and adds a sweetness), a little onion and/or garlic depending on what I have on hand, salt/pepper, smoked paprika, and olive oil in the food processor, and viola! Double the amount you get from sabra, fraction of the price, no weird tastes. I'm determined to learn how to bake fresh naan or pita bread now. I mean, flat bread can't be that hard, right?
Just did Pilates on the ball and I officially have no stomach muscles left after 2 csections in 2 years. I'm now hanging out on a bench in the gym while I wait for enough strength to pick my kids up from childcare.

Besides the produce how was it? I have a farm or two near by for that
The eggs came broken but dry food is ok. Have you been to Wilson Farms? I love that stand.

We had a long night so DH decided he's going in to work late. He's still asleep on the couch. We live in a small 2 bedroom apt, so I've been trapped in the bedroom with A all morning. (No one told A it was a sleep-in day). *sigh* At least I've gotten 3 loads of laundry put away and part of the CDs...

I made the homemade stuff and it wasn't as good I didn't peel the chickpeas tho and used canned ones
Trying to think of something to do for myself or a way for just time alone . I don't want to get my nails done cause i ve been keeping them so short after I clawed the child once ( it was not that bad) can't think of anything that will result in more than 30 mins I've never had a break from him yet and after past couple days of million wake ups and early wake ups and no naps I m going to lose it if I don't get one
My sister is going through a divorce, so I'm spending the day planning a spa day for us next month!! I'm excited to surprise her with this and spend time alone with her relaxing.
No you re right dani he doesn't do shit really I'm just the idiot that knew this and signed up for it
@Xxlilies Could you work with him on it? I'm not even gonna lie, I had no idea how lazy I used to be until DH pointed it out to me. I was pretty spoiled my whole life and it just didn't occur to me. It took awhile and a lot of reminding in order to change my habits but I'm a homemaking machine these days and I love it. I think back to the way I was and it's like a complete "dear god, what was I thinking?" moment.

Yes! We bought it last week and I said the same thing. I really like the roasted red pepper. I want to try to make my own.
Super easy to make!!!

@Vinny424 I was so confused because the next town over from me is Hanford, which my iPhone insists on correcting to Hannaford I don't know why. Grocery delivery sounds cool, no over shopping possible.
I would love to someday have a serger. Do sergers do other things? Zippers? Zig zag? The 1900s model singer I have doesn't do these things and to make a button hole I have disassemble half the machine to add the buttonholer assembly.
So tomorrow will mark a year from the time I got a positive pregnancy test...and the best part is, I wrapped it up and gave it to my husband as part of his birthday present...that's right, I found out I was pregnant on hubs bday! He got a little teary eyed and said it was seriously the best gift ever. Love him!!
You should give your H a wet diaper this year. Circle of life.

You might think that was the case. We get groceries delivered every Friday. I'm amazed at how much I buy a week in advance. I forget things and get excited every time I open the bins up. It's soooo much easier to just click and click and click and click...
@PoppySeedWindsor - Green Bean Delivery or Amazon? I'm intrigued by buying groceries online. Is it easier to meal plan and not get distracted?
Green Bean!
ETA: It's a combination of both. I am still getting used to thinking that far ahead. I have to customize my bin on Monday for Friday delivery for the next week's menu. Make sense? So I'm always thinking like, 10 days ahead, which is hard. We're actually gonna cancel soon because they've jacked up prices and it's just insane. We can go to the Medeira FM or Covington FM and get better produce for cheaper. That said, it's a really convenient service.

My regular machine can do zippers, zigzags, and button holes. It was also cheaper and is easier to set up since it has 2 threads and 1 needle, not 4 threads and 2 needles.
But the serger overlocks and trims seams all at once. So that's awesome.
My husbands aunt gave me her old 1980s singer sewing machine. I ended up giving it to my mom to use with the girl scouts after breaking 3 bobbin assemblies. They made the bobbin assembly out of plastic instead of metal and it cost me about $20 each time the assembly broke, so I gave up. They just don't make quality machines anymore, so I'm just afraid to invest in a new one. The thrift shop down the way from me has several old machines like mine, but nothing newer than 1950 ever seems to show up there.
Okay don't hate me but is there such a thing as a nap that's too long? DS has turned his daily 3 hour nap into 3 1/2 hours for a week now.
I don't know if I should wake him after a while or leave him be?
Once they're steadily gaining weight, never wake a sleeping baby. EVER! Babies aren't lazy, so if they're doing a little extra sleeping it's probably because they're doing a little extra growing and need the rest.

Set up my new serger this morning and learned to thread it. Made a pair of pants for A.
@Vinny424 It took easily half the time as the pair I made yesterday and they are better! Thanks, enabler.
Gonna have to hit up joann's after my hair cut tomorrow so I can sew all the things! After enough practice on baby clothes, maybe I'll be brave enough to make something for myself.
I've been interested in getting a serger, but the machine I currently have is 45 years old, so I don't even think I could get one for it! It's my mom's old machine that she got from her siblings when she went to college. DH hates it because it weighs a ton and he carries it up from the basement when I want to use it :-)
Edit: The pic is pretty close to the machine I have!

A serger is a whole separate machine. I think your thinking of a side cutter.
