Found a box of cake mix in my cabinet today. So I made it. It baked up just fine. I also found frosting, cherry flavor. I didn't know where it came from. Should have checked the expectation date. I'm thinking MIL got it at the food bank and then brought it here. It exported Nov of 2009. So I'm now scrapping in back off the cake, because I didn't realise it was no good until it was too late.

It sucks because I'm a teacher so it will be during my plan time. I want to utilize all the time I can during breaks so I can leave right away at the end of the day!

@pineconey When I read this I got the mental image of you huddled in the corner with a paranoid look in your eye like your DS is going to wake up and rob you of your ice cream moment. But then I read "in peace" and instead imagined you in a big, cozy reclining chair with no socks on (because that's really fucking comfortable and you know it), eating ice cream, while attractive shirtless men fan you with palm leaves. I really want to believe the latter is the more accurate of the two, but I'm thinking the truth is more like the former.

And yes, my brain is overworked, I tell you what.

I'm seriously contemplating leaving them there and sneaking off to bed....
I'll reassess after I dry my hair.

Oh, and I definitely take off my socks the moment I get inside, assuming it's cold enough for socks or I'm doing an activity that requires them.

He only wants to sleep in our bed, but I just can't always have him in there. He wants to be laying on my arm and it hurts after awhile. I'm out of solutions, DH and I are both frustrated beyond belief.

This child had been drinking between 13-16 ounces while at daycare from 7:30-4. I think we need to introduce some paced bottle feeding to her and them.
