  • Watching Naked and Afraid in our house, too! Although we don't have ice cream, boooooo.
  • I looked up the diaper. It's kinda ugly. "Don't let the muggles get you down"? What?
  • Is my baby the only one who doesn't like to snuggle?  Makes me sad.

  • @rtv3‌ a bath would've been smart! I'm watching the end of Pitch Perfect!

Me too!!! When I was in the throes of pregnancy, I cried at the end. They just FINALLY get together and make it all work. :-) Fucking hormones making me soft.

  • Lo's been going to sleep around 6 for the last few nights. One of those nights, he slept all night. I wish he would tell me ahead of time before he decided to sleep all night, so I can pump before bed. 12 hrs is a long time to go with full boobs!

  • 40 days or less until DH comes down here to spend sometime reconnecting and then we move to our next place!
I just talked to his brother about spending 10 days in AL with them during DH time off. I have such mixed feelings. DH brother is awesome, however the rest of DH family is crazy. Unfortunately the whole family lives with 40 mins of each other. The plus side is if we go to DH sisters house I can take some pics of what I call the hall of shame to share with you guys. The family pictures are so bad and she has them all hanging on one hallway. I wanted to cry when they wanted to take cousin pics in black jeans, blue shirts for boys and pink for girl pics. I didn't want my son added to the hall of shame.
  • @Vinny424‌ you going to be our #2?

I should have got my own otoscope years ago. Well here's to waiting for amazon prime. Think I might but a few drops of BM in her ears, just in case.

Hugs @AprilMay9‌ and prayers as you go through that first day tomorrow!

I told my OB we use condoms but really we just do pull and pray almost all the time. It worked the 1st three years of our marriage, hopefully it works again till next July [-O<

  • (((hugs))) @AprilMay9.  I totally agree that it feels wrong and unnatural to be away from your LO so often during the week.  Hopefully the day will go quickly enough and you will settle into a routine soon.  I will be in your shoes in a few weeks and I'm totally dreading it.  I've already warned some of my friends from work not to ask me how I'm feeling those first few days back.

  • @Vinny424‌ so did mine. I told him if I get pregnant I'm going to kill him! I want more kids, but not that soon!

@AprilMay9‌ good luck tomorrow! I've been back 2 weeks, and it was better than I thought it would be. The first few mornings were tough, but considering that just the thought of returning to work or talking about my baby made me burst into tears beforehand, I think it went better than anticipated. I'm still struggling with trying to get everything done in the evenings and still have time to decompress. I hear it gets better

  • Good luck today @AprilMay9‌

My LO went to sleep at 10 and it's 6am and he is still sleeping. I had to get up to pump, have checked on him a few times and am laying in bed awake....so much for our first STTN. He has never slept more than 5 hrs straight and we are at 8.

  • If I strangle my husband it's justified, right?

M didn't go down for bed until 2.5 hours late last night.  He was up every 30-60 minutes all night long, no matter what I did, then decided he was up for the day at 5 and has refused to nap since (it's now seven).  I tried putting him down for a nap, got him quiet in his crib (though not asleep) and DH's alarm starts going off.  So he's screaming again.  DH gets up, says "I'm not going into work until 9," resets his alarm, and goes back to bed.

    So here I am.

  • @aprilmay9 Good luck. B is going to daycare for the first time today and I'm dreading the drop off. I'm postponing it as long as possible :-(

If he isn't going in til 9, he has time to put his son down for a nap.
    If only he would nap...

I put my pride away and told him to watch DS while I took a shower and went out to get coffee and breakfast.  It's surprisingly tough transitioning between DH being gone and being back.

  • Thinking of all you ladies going back to work today! Hoping your day goes by fast and you're back with your LO before you know it. :-)
  • I am in my own personal hell right now. The itching from these burns is UNBEARABLE! I can't put anything on it and I can't scratch it!!!! I want to scream! I will take the severe pain back over this! I cannot sleep because it's all I can think about! It's consuming my MIND! I'm sitting here with ice packs on it hoping to numb it enough to try and get some zzzzz's before Dh leaves for work and baby gets up for the day. Ugh. Help me jeebus! I'm losing it!

  • Good thoughts to you ladies going back to work today! As everyone else said it's so hard but it does get easier. I was totally honest with my coworkers the first week back. Every time someone asked me how it felt to be back I just said it was awful because it was. I didn't feel like sugarcoating it because duh I'd rather be at home with my kid than be at work.

@vinny424 I don't know the percentage but I'm EBF and on the mini pill. No pulling out over here. I was on it for 3 years before DD and didn't get pregnant so I figure I'm safe. And if not DH gets his wish of 2 kids super close in age.
  • @irisheyez7‌ I'm sorry you are so miserable right now!! I hope it gets better for you very quickly.

I just went to an aerobic dance class at my gym. There was nothing aerobic about it! Even the teacher seemed bored out of her mind. The closest person to my age was probably around 65.

Oh yeah? I wanted to go to Sheridan Nurseries and Target, maybe I'll call!
    Targets open
    Not sure about the nursery
Target had loads on clearance and I don't know what kind of formula you use but similac is almost ten bucks off

  • @Vinny424‌ I think it's supposed to be an oz for every hr you are gone. And I always leave an extra bottle just in case. (My mom has spilled a few times)
  • @Vinny424‌ I send four bottles with 4 ounces each to my moms for a 9 hour day. Most of the time I bring one back home with me or she is having it as soon as I get there.
