    Diabetes ?

    Graves disease ?

Whatever the diseases are I am very sorry you have them.

Ummm so what's your sickness called exactly? Since you wished it upon our children I want to make sure I know the name. ETA: Because that's a terribly cruel thing to wish upon someone's child because they didn't agree with you on an Internet forum.

My bet would be lupus or another autoimmune disease.  Which is a terrible thing to have to live with.
    It's never Lupus.
Never?  My friend has it and is always pissing blood and it is one of those multiple organ diseases.

I'm a Graves patient. (Autoimmune hyperthyroidism). Treated with RAI. Pissing blood was not one of the hallmarks.
I'm sorry you have Graves disease.  I honestly don't know much about it, but I imagine it isn't something you would wish on a child.

  • "How is Graves' disease managed during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, you will need to see both your OB/GYN and an endocrinologist (en-doh-krih-NOL-uh-jist), a doctor who treats people with hormone problems. If you have had radioactive iodine (RAI) or surgery to treat Graves' disease in the past and become pregnant, tell your doctor. Your baby will need to be watched for thyroid-related problems that can occur later in the pregnancy. It is best to plan pregnancy so that Graves' disease is treated prior to conception."

Just googled that, you can be mad at us all you want but according to this website for women's health and several others, it was in fact unwise for you to have an unplanned pregnancy.

Pretty much exactly what I did. RAI treatment happened about a year to a year and a half before TTC (forgot exactly - pregobrain). My gyno and endo are all totally watching over me still, as well they should. So far, so good! :)

I am so sorry you have this. After reading the description it sounds like a real bitch of a disease. Glad to know you are in good hands and that treatment is going well! And that you were as responsible as possible with your pregnancy. H&H pregnancy to you and your little bean/pea/whatever you refer to the little guy or girl.

I see nothing wrong with what you are doing. I completely understand your family's desires to want to buy you certain items and have a small family "sprinkle". Heck, I have been to full on baby showers for second baby within the first year...I think it's perfectly fine and wonderful and not "gift-grabby" at all.
Congrats on 2 little a ones! What a joy :) sorry people are being so mean and judgmental...I hope your party goes wonderfully :)

SERIOUSLY? Another white knight? Who are you people?!
I am someone who sees no reason to spew complete and utter words of hatred to another human being because she does things differently than me. I am in tears over some of the things people are saying to her and about her. It doesn't matter if you don't like the idea of a "sprinkle", second shower, second baby, what color her hair is, or her music references. There is NO reason to speak so awfully to another human being. My heart is hurting for her...I am no "white night". I was expressing my opinions and feelings to her without being hateful. Is the what it takes on these boards to be "one of the group"? To be willing to knock someone as low as you possibly can with your words and keep badgering her and laughing about it? You don't even know this woman...
