5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I have huge anxiety about l&d but not the typical anxiety. I'm extremely claustrophobic and the thought of my son's body having to squeeze through tight spaces in order to come out freaked me the heck out one night. I almost went into a panic attack thinking about if his head got somehow stuck in my pelvis and how freaked out I'd be if my head were stuck in a tight space... then my husband reminded me that my head WAS in a tight space once upon a time and I managed. If I made it out of a vagina, so can he lol.
Also my husband suffers from sleep paralysis where his mind is awake for a few minutes before his body and he can hear and sense things around him but literally cannot move. That scares the crap out of me and I don't even have it. Then I thought, what if our baby has it (since my BIL also has it) and cue panic attack #2.
I have claustrophobia too and your husband's sleep paralysis sounds awful! I hate the thought of being trapped/not being able to move. Honestly that was one of the reasons why I didn't want an epidural last time - the thought of not being able to move my legs scares the crap out of me.

I had sleep paralysis pretty bad from age 18 to about 22. I'ts pretty common in young adults. It is terrifying, but its the result of a normal function. Your body paralyses itself when you sleep so that you dont run around and hit people during REM. Sometimes your mind wakes up before that switch goes off. But for most people it goes away further into adulthood! I get 1 or 2 episodes a year now.
@purplehippo19 I was technically preggo when I got my tattoo :0). I was in that 2 weeks before you ovulate that actually end up counting as pregnancy....
Also, my random thing: I had a dream last night that I breastfed my dog. I'm still disturbed.
I brought a healthy lunch into work today.... Roasted Turkey breast with veggies. I really want to go get a fried chicken sandwich at my favorite place in town.... Ohh the temptation! I will likely behave myself and calm down once I eat something.

My anniversary is Wed.
My DH didn't get me anything for my birthday, Mother's Day or Valentine's Day (or Christmas I don't think). He isn't a slacker usually we agree to go away for a weekend or he is building me a new kitchen or whatevs so he calls that the gift.
Sometimes a girl likes an actual (little) present.
So he made a comment about how whoops he didn't get me anything for our anniversary yet. I am bummed. flowers would be fine with me or a $20 pair of earrings just something to make me feel special.
My anniversary is also Wed! He took the whole week off to celebrate- and I am working. No fair. So far, we know we are using a sitter, but have no real plans and neither of us have bought any gifts. I really want flowers, but he only does those as an apology. I also got jack for Mother's Day. :-|

------------------------------------------------- Happy almost anniversary! How many years? This is our third. I am just being pouty about it.
My random is last night I was looking through my old Facebook posts from the year DS was born and it made me so giddy and excited to have a baby again!
And I totally forgot all about this Bumbo YouTube commercial he did when he was 5 months old. We totally never used our Bumbo either, haha.
I love lurking on other threads to see how new moms are making out. I'm just appalled at how their LO's are seemingly never in their crib. Maybe I'm naïve, but this kid will be in her crib!
Was I the only one who thought about mom's making out after reading this?

Culver's?
Nope not Culvers! But they are on my list! Love their chicken sandwich! I ended up skipping my healthy lunch and went with some co-workers for burgers and fries! I am so sleepy now

Men are really dumb sometimes. I agree, flowers or something is better than nothing. Though, I am really not one to talk, I forget anniversaries and birthday presents all the time. We do try to do more experiences than gifts though. Like going to a show or skydiving or whatever.

Okay, here I am soliciting advice/opinions again and thought this would be better than it's own thread.
I'm making a shirt for a friend's little boy who was recently diagnosed with autism. The other day she just wrote a long, emotional blog post about life for them so far and ended it with "Autism sucks, but Benson is awesome" in bright, big bold letters (I changed the name for privacy, btw). Anyway, I was really touched by the whole thing but especially that part and my first thought was he needs a shirt that says that.
I have the shirt and I'm making a stencil right now and then will spray bleach to make the letters appear. My question is dumb, but still bugging me so I want to pick your brains.
Should it say "AUTISM SUCKS BUT BENSON IS AWESOME" or just "AUTISM SUCKS BUT I AM AWESOME"? I feel like the first is more personalized but the second, more logical?
I think if it's a shirt for him I would put but I AM AWESOME.

This. Also, maybe make a shit for mom that says "but Benson is awesome!"
I am at work ..at my desk with my shoes off. My feet swelled and hurt so bad that both of my pinky toes are bright red! I am tempted to go home and work from home the rest of the day, but I am dreading putting these shoes back on! Owie

Haha. I just noticed my typo. A shit for mom is always good.
So going off the cinnamon rolls in the waffle iron thing- cinnamon roll pancakes. If you haven't made them you need to. Pancake mix and a mixture of melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. Put batter in pan and squirt the butter/cinnamon mixture in a spiral and cook pancake as usual. Google has tons of recipes. So good.
ex-squeeze me? Cinnamon rolls in my waffle iron?!?! I must've missed that. They don't stick?!?
