Re: TGIF Randoms

  • @pnwlover12 We originally got a cat because my dog has separation anxiety. It's the dog's cat...it's a really weird relationship those two.

    Now that sounds adorable!

If you're interested, we are fostering an adorable kitten. We will even get her spayed for you. ;)

I wish! I like cats, but my dog doesn't. That asshole's ears perk up if anyone says the word "kitty" and then she goes ape shit.

I like all the furry creatures, but DH is allergic. So sad. Though, he's thinking about letting us get a dog. I was a cat person until my brother's dog adopted me. I think he agrees that we need one for security and companionship when he's away. I'd feel safer anyway.

I feel like I ate a brick for breakfast (had a protein shake) and now the thought of eating again is making me nauseous.  DH and the boys might be ordering pizza for dinner (ugh, even the though of smelling pizza is making me sick).  This kid is seriously screwing up my ability to enjoy food!

  • As good as my chipotle was, I can't help but to wonder why half of it kept missing my mouth and landed in my lap. Womp.

And to the lovely woman at Costco who decided to cut me off at the pump and nearly hit my car....no sweety, I don't want to squeeze in front of you. Just don't cut me off next time twit smh

Umm... get a hairless cat! :) a sphynx! They're scary enough looking so you'd feel safe too.

  • As much as I appreciate all furry creatures, I have to say that I'm a little obsessed with my Puggle. We just went to a vet appt. and he hated his life-check out the look of panic in his eyes! Ha! (Just had to AW to represent the dog lovers!)
Love him! I totally want a squishy faced dog that only a mother could love :)

So going off the cinnamon rolls in the waffle iron thing- cinnamon roll pancakes. If you haven't made them you need to. Pancake mix and a mixture of melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar. Put batter in pan and squirt the butter/cinnamon mixture in a spiral and cook pancake as usual. Google has tons of recipes. So good.
@FamousEA - I lOVE this - DH is going to think I am nuts, but I have to try this!!! I want some now! seriously craving a cinnamon roll right now

One of my besties has a female puggle! Her name is Charlie. We call her Chuck. Looks just like her!

My sister has 2 hairless cats that are really interactive and sweet. One is the regular (nude?) color and is seriously the ugliest goblin looking thing. The other is black and although relatively cute, smells like toe cheese. Do not recommend! I'd rather deal with fur than funk.

    Nope, you're not.

I don't have a cat either. Two huskies are enough for me in the furry creature department! I am too obsessed with them anyway so I can't imagine loving a cat the same way. I don't mind them, they're just not as cute as my babies.

My mom is coming up to visit for the weekend & I have been waiting for her to get here ALL DAY because she is bringing my birthday present with her (well and because I miss her!). My birthday was at the beginning of the month but she told me in FEBRUARY that she bought it and knew that I would love it so much. She didn't want to send it because she wanted to watch me open it and the curiousity is killing meeeee.

I definitely don't and here comes my FFFC I really can't stand cats. I'm allergic and besides that I just don't see the appeal. My neighbors feed all the stray cats and then they use my veggie garden as a litter box.

Also my husband suffers from sleep paralysis where his mind is awake for a few minutes before his body and he can hear and sense things around him but literally cannot move. That scares the crap out of me and I don't even have it. Then I thought, what if our baby has it (since my BIL also has it) and cue panic attack #2.

    image

I have this concern too as my sister and I both have it. I have learned to deal with the waking up not being able to move, waking up floating in the air, auditory hallucinations, and when I was younger waking up with my bed shaking, but I know it can be scary. Hope neither of our LOs get it!

  • Oh! So I remember now. My hairdresser, who is moderately crazy, told me yesterday that she could tell my baby's back and butt are on my right side and the baby's head is down. Ummm how the hell could she know? Can ANYONE tell from touch/sight? I can't freaking tell and she is in my belly moving all over the place... So my (probably stupid) question is, is she insane for thinking she could tell or is that a legit thing?
This could very much be legit. My SIL and doc can tell by looking. Add hands to it and yeah-- very easy. I read that some midwives don't even doppler during labor because they can feel by hand where baby is and how he's moving down.

  • @wino411 That would be scary for a human! I was terrified of having to crawl through pipes at a mud run I did last year. Luckily they were pretty short and it was easy to see the other side while crawling though. The good thing about your baby is that it has no concept of space. It's been in a tiny, squished environment this whole time. Visualize the baby crowning over and over and over and try to push the image of getting stuck out of your mind.

@purplehippo19 I can't wait for my next one, too. I should start saving a little bit now so I don't have to wait longer. You are getting another flower, right?

  • @MrsSinner402 - It's okay if you were hoping for a different labor buddy.  It was all random at the beginning, but if there's another "couple" who wants to switch, I suppose that's fine.
I feel like a big fat douchebag. :-<

It's so cute! I love it!

I've wanted to ask - I didn't see if you updated - any word from the doctor on your report? I probably missed a post but I've been thinking about you.
Well, there was an update but I guess you're not the only one who missed it. :) The doc said he's not concerned, as the dilation of the kidney was mild, and he saw no blockages. I just have YET ANOTHER follow up U/S soon to check on them again... I hope this resolves itself before birth, but I'm definitely feeling lucky to be able to see her so much. Thanks for thinking of me. :x
Sorry to have missed it, thank you for the update!  FX for it to resolve quickly. When is your next scan?
Not sure yet, I have an appointment on Monday and we will schedule it then. Hopefully soon!

I'm an "undesirable" to a handful of folks. I just don't have time to be paired with somebody who may or may not be faking the funk.

While I try to redeem myself throughout the week with posts here and there, those who have invested themselves in my posting history just make life on this board miserable Thursday through Friday. I'm happy for those that got satisfying pairings though ..

Ohh, I see. I thought you were referring to my FFFC, which didn't turn out to be a very big deal, so I was confused. For what it's worth, you're not on my undesirable list (that I can remember) :)

Anyone else seeing the "X new posts plural" next to threads you've read or posted in? I know TB did updates last night... Seems like a pointless change.

I just don't get it. What the hell does the "plurals" mean???

And I think I've figured out why I hate cleaning the bathroom. I use a different product for everything..
