Re: FFFC
And the second I get pregnant, I get so angry with it that I'm afraid I might murder the dog in my sleep. I slept with a wooden spoon when I was pregnant with W so I could repeatedly nudge him with it until he stopped. I say the meanest things to him. I wake up 10 times a night because of the licking.
We had a pet rat for a few years. They are so much smarter than hamsters/gerbils/mice... her name was Pickles and she litter box trained herself and came when she was called. They only live 3 or 4 years. (We bought her in a pet store, so she wasn't like the vermin living outside.)
@shiggybop Have you heard of "catch them alive" traps? I've used them for mice, and they worked after a couple tries, not sure if they'd work with rats who are smarter. It's basically a tunnel that animal goes down to get peanut butter, but it's on an axis so when they pass the middle, the door swings shut.
annual pap? My last one was when I was 8 weeks preg. Oops

Ignore. Haha.
Back from spending my entire morning at Verizon for a new (free) iPhone, I haven't had a super expensive jeans in awhile, but my last pair were 7 jeans and were over $100. I used to wash them sporadically and I swear that helped them have a longer life.

I don't tell him prices/purchases on every little thing I get, and just try to keep it all within my set monthly budget. If I spend more in a month than usual, we definitely talk about it. We both analyze monthly spending each month, but in different ways. Control freaks both.
So yeah, I purposefully don't tell him about some things I buy that he would balk at, but I still think the more you communicate honestly about finances with your spouse, the less fighting you'll have about it and the more trust you'll build. Now if I can just put that into practice...
It was too big to flush down the toilet. Oy.
I have the same issues with pants. I'm pear shaped, so if they fit my arse they don't fit over my thighs and if they fit over my thighs, are huge in the waist. Curvy jeans from ATL, Levi's and the Gap have been my go-to's for years.

huh! That is good to know! I've had abnormal paps before womp womp
I'm to here. I think they only recommend getting one every other year now if you last few were normal. My OB told me that at my last one in February. I got it anyway because I was there, naked, in a gown. Insurance picked it up.
Hahaha! Her name was Kate and yes she was too big also. Just massive actually. She only had one other tank companion and she killed him within a day. I so wanted her to die but I felt so bad when she actually did. DH did as well. I actually think he shed a tear.
One our 3 cats are done I think I'm done with animals for a long while. I've always had cats growing up and just had to get some when we bought our house. They were my babies. Then DS came a long and I'm pretty sure the love to dislike ratio is a bit off. I'm so sick of cleaning up barf, hearing them fight with one another and ruin our stuff. We've got a LONG time before we're pet free. My guess, minimum of 10 years.
I was gifted two goldfish from a student. They also got huge and ate others. I was not fond of them at all.
Kid #1 - 09/03/12
Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
#11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
Just getting back. Yes, yes I did. I've bought more than I got rid of in the great dress purge of '14.
Well, today was my last opportunity to just sit in bed and watch crappy tv, and I spent it running around with my sister hoping to get things started before Sunday. Now I'm pissed at myself.
Julia is low weight percentage, and I feel guilty literally every time a stranger asks how old she is. I tell them 7 months all apologetically and then explain that she's super small for her age. We need to just go easy on ourselves and realize that all we can do is our best for our kids, and that it's good enough. I love my moms groups, so hopefully it will be a great experience for you and you'll make friends!
Eta autocorrect fails
I'm not going to flame you, it seems like you know that it probably isn't the healthiest thing to be giving him since you feel guilt over it. I can, however, offer you some suggestions if you want to get away from using that stuff. Have you tried putting fresh fruit or even just ice cubes in his water? Look into an infusion pitcher, I bet you would both love it!
good luck! There might be some snarky bitchy moms, but you might meet some great ones too! Colby has stage fright in large groups and hardly talks, he is so busy playing though that I don't think anyone besides myself has ever really noticed.
Sophia's choice of drink is water or milk. The only time I do juice is when she's constipated or when we're out to eat and that's what's available. She has gone through phases of not liking milk, but I continued to offer it at 2 meals per day, and she went back to drinking it. If you make a stand that the choices available are the healthy ones, eventually he'll get thirsty and drink.
I wasn't defending her choice (or flaming her for it). Just offering something that works for me.
Strawberry water is amazing. An orange sliced and put into a gallon of water with a vanilla bean is like an orangesicle (sp?).
FFFC #2 is that there were a few days last week where I thought I was pg & instead of freaking the f out like I should have been, because I've been pretty adamant about being done, I actually found myself daydreaming about a new tiny squish! All the new babies on IG are turning me soft!
MH & I discuss purchases over like $100. I've never thought to fib about how much things cost.
I give dd a splash of juice in her water when she asks for it, which is maybe once every other day. NBD to me. Ds didn't even know what juice was at this age. Oh well.
Crystal light tastes nasty to me, so by that alone, I would never buy it or give it to my kids.
I had a goldfish for 4 years & he died when we moved into this house. I cried like a fucking baby. I was 8 months pg with ds & I had just lost my dad. It was all too much for me! But honestly, this fish was totally awesome. He'd come to the corner of his bowl all excited when he saw me, he'd splash at the surface & he was so cute! He was the very first "person" I told I was pg. lol. I miss him so much!!
I haven't bought "nice" jeans in forever bc I feel like it would be accepting that my current weight is actually my reality & it's really depressing! So I will continue to buy cheap "temporary" jeans & live in denial.
I think I covered everything.
