@hmp1 I forgot to respond to your paint comment the other day (in a jerk) about your DH having an opinion on the color. I let DH pick the color for the kitchen because I was impressed he was actually taking an interest. Our kitchen is a horrible bright yellow . Never again. I hope your DH has better taste than mine.
Ha. I didn't let him pick a color, I just agreed to go darker on the bathroom cabinet than the kitchen. I went very slightly darker (French Linen for the bathroom and Paris grey for the kitchen) but enough to make him think his opinion was heard. Or, most likely, he won't even notice the difference in the two colors or remember having an opinion in the first place.
DH keeps saying he wants the bedroom color scheme to be 'crisp'. However, he cannot elaborate, so I really have no idea what he's talking about. Thoughts?

To me that means white, cool blue colors, maybe light gray. I could be wrong.
@MarisaKathleen do it!! We moved in to this house 5 days before I gave birth! We started the whole selling and buying process when I was around 34-35 weeks! I was exhausted but I'm so glad we did it and that we're in this house now and not the old one anymore!
How does someone to to a pot-luck style BBQ and bring chips and dip? Wtf.
Must be friends with MY friend who brought chicken strips for her kids and H to a concert picnic that we planned on doing pot-luck style. And I took home 8 wraps & pita Sandwiches that didn't get eaten. Including peanut butter, on her suggestion!
I have a great story about a neighbor and a Fed Ex package. It's very tl;dr. But everyone can enjoy this as they sip their morning coffee at work
I lived in an apartment by myself before meeting DH. It was in a small town and completely normal and there was a very nice older couple that lived next door. The wife would clean the hallway and was pleasant. She would sit on her balcony, which faced the parking lot, and smoke; pretty much keep tabs on everyone. Well, after the first year I lived there, I met DH and he would stay over or I'd stay at his house. Then her husband passed away, I stopped by with a sympathy card and offered condolences. She got a little strange after that.
First, she stopped saying hi when she was out smoking and I'd be coming up the walk. Then I noticed once that my doormat was at an angle like someone had moved it. I went to adjust it back and saw dirt, pieces of leave, & general garbage under my door mat. I knew it was Josie that always cleaned the hallways, no one else cared, but I was sort of dumbfounded that she would purposefully out garbage on my doorstep. I wasn't completely convinced and thought maybe it was the wind or something. So I put it to the test and dropped a colored piece of thread in a corner of the hallway on my way to work one morning and sure enough it was UNDER my Welcome mat after school. Not the wind, Amanda. So she would vacuum and then empty it in front of my door. All.the.time.
But the kicker was the story of a dress that I ordered for a friend's Nov. wedding. I clearly remember having Veteran's Day off school and shopping with my mom. There was a dress that a dept store had in brown in my size, but not black. But another store in our area about an hour away had it in their inventory in black and would send it to me. So I paid for it and got it sent to me. I would get it in time for the wedding. Fast forward to the week of the wedding and I had yet to receive the dress. So I called my store to make sure they hadn't sent it there. Nope. Called the store an hour away. They had sent it via Fed Ex the day after Veteran's Day. So, it was "lost". I was credited the money but out a dress. I scrambled to get something and was bummed.
Randomly, a few days later I got a call at work from the Fed Ex driver. He told me that he'd heard there was a problem (I guess if packages are lost, claims are filed and it goes against the driver) and wanted to tell me that my neighbor should have my dress!!! He was going to leave it at my doorstep but she popped her head out of her apartment and said that she always took my packages. He took her word, left it with her, and then asked me on the phone I had not gotten the sticky note he left on MY door that said "your package is at your neighbor's." I was in disbelief; I had not gotten a note. I stopped by her place when I got home from school that day and very nicely asked her about it. No accusations. No pointing fingers. She denied it. Then after I told her that I spoke with the driver who said he left it here. She still denied it. These were her words, "I'm an old lady, a widow, what would I do with a fancy dress?"
A few months later I came home one day with a bridesmaid's dress for my BFF's wedding. I had just gotten it altered and pressed, and I thought in my head as climbed the stairs to my building, "hey, at least I got this dress home safe and sound. " and no shitting you, guess what was on my Welcome mat? The package with my dress inside with the Fed Ex sticky note saying that the driver had left it at my neighbor's. Just like the driver told me. Best part-the whole package smelled like smoke. Hmmmm....I wonder where it had been for 3 freaking months!?!?
Tl;dr I think an odd old lady neighbor of mine stole a package with a dress I had ordered. I'm pretty sure she would wear it, smoke a pack of cigarettes and watch Wheel of Fortune.

I'm leaning toward something like this. DH said he likes it. Opinions? this may be huge...
This is my bedroom colors. We have black furniture, white bedding with grey sheets/ pillowcases, and aqua/tiffany blue accents in frames and paintings.

I really don't like the washed look - white cabinets with dark wax just looks dirty to me. But I love a little distressing and a clear wax.
