HUMP DAY

Re: HUMP DAY

  • @PenelopePond‌ I actually don't see anything on my phone. Did you say your period is late as well?

Now this has me wondering if I think I'm seeing a line where a line shouldn't be because I've never used that brand.

I compared it to my positive with Sean (ffwc?), and the line I see is in the same spot. It's also the same as the other tests I took. I really just think I got a bad batch. Every cycle we've been trying I've been getting faint lines.

Binn will be 8 weeks tomorrow and her eyes are still super blue. I can't remember when Bebs turned, I know they were never this blue. I am starting to have hope they're going to stick around. It is possible, my dad has blue eyes so the restive gene is there.
I may also be a little jealous if she keeps her dark hair and blue eyes.

Ethan's are still blue. Only DH's grandfather and my grandfather had blue. So, I think its totally possible.

DH is the only one with blue eyes and Nancy's are still blue. Both of my parents, both of DH's parents and I all have green eyes. Go figure.

  • I am skipping my art class tonight. I dread it every Wednesday. It's from 6-8, and she chitchats until about 630, then has us do pretty much the same thing every week. She literally doesn't teach us anything about technique, and doesn't have us try different mediums. It is quite obvious that she doesn't even spend three minutes planning the class.

  • Well my day just got super weird. Responded to an ad for a "personal assistant" (from the business section!!) yeah, he wants someone that's gonna clean his house, organize his office and blow him when he is stressed. Thank goodness I took that call away from the boys.
OMG what did you say? I know I couldn't come up with anything whitty in the moment. I'd die!

I would have lost my shit on the phone. Probably even blushed even though he didn't know who I was. Dear God some people.

  • We went fig picking on Monday and I've been making dinner with figs in it ever since... I'm proud of myself and may end up posting pictures of the food. We went to a park with a splash pad today and Sophia had a blast until I pulled her out of the water because her lips were blue and she was shaking. She cried so hard to have to go warm up. Thank goodness I was able to tempt her with a snack!

Ok, I complained last week about our neighbor putting a pile of junk in front of our lawn (not his) the day after garbage day. DH and I fought about it because he didn't understand why it upset me. Am I just a jerk, or would this bother you? Oh, and it's garbage day today, so it's been a week, and they garbage truck came and didn't pick it up. Image and video hosting by TinyPic ETA: Grrr yeah TB is doing weird formatting stuff on my laptop too.

I'd be mad and I'd tell him to move his crap. It's been 1 week that like 5 days too many for me tolerate.

  • I get annoyed every week when my neighbors put their trash in front of my lawn. I get annoyed when anyone puts shit out the day after pickup day. And I get angry when it's a crap load of stuff. Keep that shit in your fucking garage until trash day. What you have there is the trifecta, and I would be flaming mad.

  • @BobKat22‌, it's still fun without the wine. I do a lot of painting, and have gone to several of those kind of classes and honestly, you're so involved in the picture that you usually have a full drink left at the end. :-) I've also taken fused glass classes, a cool picture frame course where we did mosaic tiles on it, a couple jewelry classes, flower arranging, many, many cooking classes & quite a few different exercise classes that I didn't hate. Check out your rec department and google random, obscure classes. :-) We even offer basket weaving at my work. Seriously. Basket weaving. It's a 4wk course and you make 2 baskets. :-)

That's cool you do an art class. In our never ending bickering right now, DH has told me I need to find something to do for myself to be a happier person. My friend told me today she is taking a few fun classes too. Maybe I should find something.
I think I would really enjoy a course with another instructor. You should look into it! And +1 to the class with wine, GOD YES. I think the other downside is that I am going with my MIL. I thought it would satisfy one of the million days a week I have to see her. Nope, it's just in addition. And we can't be adults and just drive ourselves there. It has to be a group thingy where I drive from work out of my way to my house which is out of her way so we can carpool bla bla bla.

Right now I have a single lawn bag in front of my lawn, that was put out the day after pickup, and the day before three days of rain. It looks like a soggy turd, and I had to drive over it to get out of my motherfucking driveway today. I am IRRATIONALLY upset about it. And on trash day, I can't exit my driveway at any angle at all because their trash is on one side and my trash has to be on the other, so I scrape down my curb and if there's a car parked on the other side of the street I come within inches.

  • We can't leave our trash out at all. Its like an open invitation for bears to come over for breakfast.
  • @harti09, that sounds so fun!! I'm 32 and for some reason infatuated with helicopters, too. Although, I'd never ride in one, unless if was Life Flight. Hopefully next time you'll be able to get video!

  • One of my neighbors is an asshole. I was expecting a package yesterday/today and when it didn't arrive, I checked the tracking, which said it was delivered yesterday. I checked outside again, asked my husband and my non-asshole neighbor if they'd seen it, they said no. Called the company that sent it to me and they said they'd send it again. As I was driving down my street, I looked at asshole neighbor's stoop and there is not 1 but 2 packages. I walk up, ring the bell and get no answer. His car is parked on his lawn, so I know he's home. I just took my packages and left. There are many more stories of him being a jerk, but I didn't think he was so lazy/rude as to not walk the packages over.

Sorry so long, I was/am irritated.

  • I got a letter from the HOA scolding me for leaving my trash cans out a day past trash day. They weren't my trash cans so I got a letter the next day apologizing for the first letter.
I do appreciate them working to keep the neighborhood tidy. I would be fuming @watercolor5‌.

These happens to us often. The numbers on our street are off set, instead of our house being across from 38 we're across from 56. When we get packages delivered I guess the driver finds 38 and leaves the package at the house across the street from it. I have to walk a block to get the packages.

I took the afternoon off and went and got all the supplies to remove wallpaper and paint my bathroom vanity (except the wax, I had to order it because they were out). Eek, here I go!

So, after reading your painting post last week, I researched Annie Sloan paint. I thought it sounded awesome, found a location, and DH and I drove an hour to get it on Saturday after our Friday date night. We couldn't agree on a color for our bedroom furniture, but I did get the paint for DD's dresser. I plan to paint it next week after we move. I'm so excited to give her a bedroom! I got Provence (the tealish one) for her dreser.

The Paris Grey is what I'm leaning toward for our dressers and nightstands. I'm making an upholstered headboard for our bed since we don't have a headboard right now. I'm hoping that once I settle on a fabric style/color for thatit will be easier to choose paint, but I'm also struggling with that decision.

  • @hmp1 I forgot to respond to your paint comment the other day (in a jerk) about your DH having an opinion on the color. I let DH pick the color for the kitchen because I was impressed he was actually taking an interest. Our kitchen is a horrible bright yellow :(. Never again. I hope your DH has better taste than mine.
