A couple that DH and I are really close with is getting married next month. H is even one of the groomsmen. Sooo, I'm trolling their registry online and I'm a little horrified. There is a PS4 and the new Xbox console listed. [-X
I had a cousin register for a Wii last year on her baby registry! Baby was an accodent and neither mother or father had jobs at the time. Yes I am being judgy...
But seriously??
Oh, I would judge that too. That is actually gift grabby. I would never buy anything for a baby shower that wasn't baby related or post-postpartum mom related (I made a PP care package for my friend that just had a baby). You don't have a baby shower to get an iPod
I woke up at 2am starving. Had some pizza, cookies, and milk. Then a good ugly cry because I'm not quite 24 weeks and I was struggling to breathe just sitting still. I was overwhelmed by the thought of having to carry these babies for 10+ more weeks when I am already constantly gasping for breath.
On the registry topic, my husband wants to add a nice espresso maker and good cookware. His logic is that it's ok since since we didn't have a wedding and no one bought us any gifts when we got married a decade ago. I could maybe see how the need for cafffiene with a new baby might be justifiable, but I'm not looking forward to being judged for the $70 Calphalon and All-Clad pans he's been eyeing. And he's not the type to care about what others think. Or the type to care about how I care what others think, for that matter.

Those new pans might come in handy to bean him over the head with when you are in the midst of sleep deprivation during the first few weeks
I went to the dr yesterday because I had been getting headaches for three days, wasn't feeling very good and the baby wasn't as active. My blood pressure, urine and baby's heart beat were normal. Then I realized that three days ago I ran out of my regular tea bags and switched to the decaf I had in the pantry. I was having caffeine withdrawals! I'm a dork! My dr just laughed at me and told me to go get a soda.
My randomness: I'm increasingly amazed at how excited I am to take a shit each day. A good one, not the little tiny one where it just makes you sad to know that you'll be back to work on it later. Each day I take a really good poo I am so happy, my bump feels so much better, and I really have such a pleasant rest of the day. I never knew such a standard function would give me so much happiness.

DH and I moved into a new house in March and it is white white white. No color, no personality, nothing. The downstairs is huge and open (I'm starting to think "open concept" is overrated) and I have no flipping idea how to decorate or arrange it. We also have a large loft that I'm at a loss on what to do with and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are boring. I'm starting to look at interior designers because we need help. But i I do that, we are going all the way and doing the whole house. We do not have $50,000 to dump into this place right now so I'm pouting. As a compromise, we are redoing the kids' rooms this weekend and next week so at least SOMETHING will be done.
I am having Cool Ranch Doritos and a Coke Zero for lunch...and I don't care!! I have been trying so hard to make sure I have balanced meals but today just felt like a Doritos day.
