  • It's amazing to me how a little bit of spit up happens and DH is all,"we must change everything he's wearing now, possibly even bathe him (at 6am no less)!" and I'm like,"......meh, he's fine". Either I'm lazy or DH had OCD.

Mine does this to. I'm like she's just going to do it again, and again....
  • The moment you stub your toe while putting the baby down after an epic 90 minute nursing session...

And we're back on the boob for another 20 minutes and counting...
I stubbed my toe this morning, too! Broke the nail in a very unpleasant way. Time to bust out an emery board...

I'm to small for these 12s and 8 is to small and for some reason my target doesn't gave any 10s. These keep falling below my c-belly and rubbing on the scar. So in out walking the girls my pants fall down and shirt riding up and my belly flopping about.

I've been lurking lately. Feeling like I need to back off from social media and such. Let's see...... I don't touch naps. Especially not this young. I'll deal with a later than usual evening if it's a super late nap, but DD sleeps all the time still it feels like, so whatever. I LOVE my Alva's. Love. They are cheap, but they have held up awesome. I really want to get some girlie ones now for DD. :) I love my fitteds lately. Way more than my prefolds. 10w today and I really need to get back into my cloth routine/starting it with DD. Here's a happy baby in her fitted. :)
I have gender neutral Alvas for Merri too and I REALLY want something girly for her. I mean, I love the dinosaurs and everything...makes her fierce and stuff...but sometimes I just want her to be girly...and not mistaken for a little boy!

Quick, give me ideas for salmon dishes.

I had dinner all planned out, told DH to pull some halibut out of the freezer last night.  I go to get it marinating and it turns out he grabbed an old salmon fillet instead of my nice halibut.  Boo.

  • I spent all day yesterday making this cute graphic to put on a onesie for when DH came home. It looked good on the computer but once I transferred it to the shirt, it's all effed up looking because I'm dumb and the colors aren't as vibrant. So sad. I wish Etsy wasn't so dang pricey or I would've just bought an embroidered one!

Mango salsa salmon? Think I got the recipe from AllRecipes.com.

Usually I'd do that but I don't have the supplies on hand and we're cutting down hard on grocery bills, so gotta work with what I've got.

@AprilMay9 inspired me and I've got a teriyaki marinade going with sriacha cream sauce.  DH doesn't like sriacha, but thats' what he gets for not paying attention and grabbing the halibut!

  • My quick salmon: sprinkle lemon pepper seasoning somewhat heavily over room temp salmon. Bake at 375 for about 30 min depending on thickness. After 10 min of baking throw in some good veggies with Italian seasoning and evoo drizzled on top to roast for the final 20 min (my favs are broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, asparagus (takes 10 min)).

This is actually how I got my UTI. Damn maternal instinct to care for my baby over myself :/
Awwww! Nooooo! One of many ultimate sacrifices you're making for your LO. Hope it's all cleared up. UTIs are the worst.

I learned today that my friends who already have 5 children are adopting 2 and get to pick them up this weekend! The adoption timeline got pushed up for some reason.
Also, his wife is pregnant. But not far along. They are keeping that on the DL so the first months with their adopted kids won't be overshadowed by the pregnancy.

8! 8 children! Ah! Ah! Ah!

Are they getting a reality show? I cannot fathom having that many kids! They must be some amazing people!
I would totally do this but Ca has crazy adoption laws, we've been turned down in the past. I just really don't understand why kids need their own room if all the toys are going to be in the living room and they sleep in my bed anyway. Think I'm going to be turning The girls room into my knitting room.

Their own room? Fuck that. I could understand if they said they didn't want four or five to a room but their own? Silly
We actually got turned down for having a floor heater. They said it wasn't safe and a kid could burn themselves on the grate. My evil ass cat slept on top of the grate...so obviously not hot. Now that we have central air and the heater has been removed we would be turned down for not having enough space. It's like these people have never heard of bunk beds? They'd rather have these kids in the system I guess.
  • I feel the need to post in here too because I have no IRL friends who have children.

So I just need to say that I made a pie and then I tripped over a toy and dropped it. I cried for 10 minutes. And hi everyone who doesn't post in RTT 2.0!

For some reason my previous post re-posted. Weird.

Anyways, made it through the grocery store with out a melt-down so that was cool :-)

What does it feel like? I've been walking a ton recently and have been having pain. I didn't have any during pregnancy though. Reading through google symptoms it sounds pretty dead-on.

It feels just like it did when I was pregnant. Like my pubic bones are rubbing on each other or being pryed (sp?) apart depending on the movement.
  • @RedDawnsRevenge‌, that sounds like what I've been feeling. I have been climbing stairs a ton at work and that seems to have brought it on. Hopefully it goes away on its own.

  • I have had an upset stomach all afternoon. I totally just took some of LO's gripe water. In my defense there is adult dosage listed on the bottle. I don't really know that it is helping any.

It's been shown to be less effective than placebo in clinical trials. Kelly mom had a great article yesterday about a new study that shows colic may actually be infant migraines.
