Omg I had to live in the residence inn in bethesda for two months for dh's job. There is a Italian market on Wisconsin ave I think that makes THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. Its called Vace. Theres one in dc too. My dh and I were just fantasizing about it over the weekend. Mmmmm pizza.
VACE PIZZA IS STILL IN MY PHONE. I WILL EAT THERE EVERY DAY WHEN WE MOVE BACK. Holy fuck, I miss Vace pizza. I can't even. I lived in the apartment building behind it for years....nom nom nom.
@irishcurls@mandamoochie Have either of you ever tried Comet Ping Pong? I react to their pizza the way you're reacting to Vace, so I was just wondering if you've ever compared.
So I absolutely get fruit envy... which is crazy because Im in the beginning of Feb anyway and only a few people are "ahead" of me fruit wise. But every time I see someone post with a bigger fruit I get all huffy and puffy... and on the same note, my other pregnancy app has this week as a green grape. I would much rather be a grape than an olive for the record.
and... screw anybody who has a prune right now.
ETA: I should have made this its own thread... its so damn important.
Fuck off olive! Im a raspberry!
Just kidding olive you i totally get it. I want to enjoy the pregnancy but im anxiously awaiting 2nd tri when i dont feel like poop all day.
I'm over here just being a sad little blueberry..........
I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be downgraded from an olive back to a raspberry after my appointment tomorrow, since my U/S measured 6 days behind my LMP estimate. I'm less concerned about the fruit though than the thought that I'll be in 1st tri for another extra week. ~X(
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

Hm no, but I already respectfully disagree with you. You need Vace.
Also. Every one of you eff off while I sit here as a SWEET PEA. :P
@flutterofyoshis I just looked them up. The menu looks delicious but it looks hipster/trying too hard for me? Could definitely be somewhere DH and I hit up for a fun date night! Vace has no where to sit, no one speaks English; you just pick up your pizza and perhaps some Italian cheeses and go home. No frills, just orgasmic pizza.

For those who want to read the WaPo hot car article, it's here. Like I said, incredibly heartbreaking and graphic in some descriptions. But it's a touching, deeply empathetic article.
My husband was telling me about an article that gives tips on how to minimize the chance of this happening (like putting something you need for work, like a purse, in the backseat along with your kid). If I can find it, I'll add it here. -------------end of quote-----------
Wow. I don't even know where to start. Powerful article. Very hard to read, but very important. This is what's scary:
"What kind of person forgets a baby?
The wealthy do, it turns out. And the poor, and the middle class. Parents of all ages and ethnicities do it. Mothers are just as likely to do it as fathers. It happens to the chronically absent-minded and to the fanatically organized, to the college-educated and to the marginally literate. In the last 10 years, it has happened to a dentist. A postal clerk. A social worker. A police officer. An accountant. A soldier. A paralegal. An electrician. A Protestant clergyman. A rabbinical student. A nurse. A construction worker. An assistant principal. It happened to a mental health counselor, a college professor and a pizza chef. It happened to a pediatrician. It happened to a rocket scientist."

So my dr. Said no eating sausage. She didn't specify if that was just cold sausage. Basically I want Double Daves pepperoni rolls and my husband is being difficult. I think I can have them if the pepperoni is cooked. What do you guys think?

I eat pepperoni. As long as you arent like eating a mega stick a day i wouldn't worry. I think only concern is nitrates.

You have got to be kidding me. No sausage? What the actual fuck.
Pepperoni, cured meats and sausages are bad because of the nitrates/nitrites. Nitrates turn into nitrite, and nitrite turns into carcinogenic stuff when exposed to high heat.
Hubby insisted on 'saving our unborn child' by picking out all the pepperoni from my slice of pizza last week, it was a really sad day for me, pizzas are now not worth eating.
Pass the pepperoni pizza please!! Can't be worried about every little thing. I need food yo.

I haven't read through everything yet but I wanted to share my random.
Last night I made brownies in my pampered chef brownie pan. It's awesome because it makes individual brownies so they can all have corners. Anyway I filled them too high and the rounded out at the top so I stuck chocolate chips in the middle to make them look like boobs.
Tell that man that is he doesnt get you the sausage he can no longer slip you the sausage!

HOLY FUCK IS IT MONDAY--- I have a big big big bitch--- 1. I live in Texas, 2. I got home tonight and couldn't open my garage door. Why you ask? BECAUSE Oncor energy disconnected our service because when we updated our credit card on file, it did not go through as autopay (which it was set up as before). We NEVER received a disconnect notice. We never received a phone call. W never got a bill that said it hadn't been processed! I am currently sitting in my 90 degree home, sweating, feeling like I may vomit because of the uselessness and poor fucking customer service of Oncor!!! Oh and P.S. Apparently it takes 24 to 48 hours for them to flip a switch to get out power back on!

@sugahcookie01 My sister was in a SUPER similar situation, except she was 18 and just had one baby. And she has no job. In and out of jail. The dads... no good and unfortunately they're together. I think that's why I'm so hesitant to tell her and my mother- because the comparison will happen instantly. And it'll piss me off because I've actually got my life together. Ugh family crap.
Second random post: FRUIT ENVY I totally get it!! When I went to my appointment, the doctor stressed how little the baby still is. He almost saw angry preggers!! IM PROUD OF MY OLIVE DAMN IT!!
is anyone elses animals driving them crazy? my dogs wont leave me alone. im wondering if they can maybe sense something different about me?

@boxerrrmama85 that very much blows!! They should have at least sent you some sort of notice. Id be so angry. @psychobutthead i think dogs very much can sense it. My brother's sweet little collie babysits me when im pregnant. She sits and my feet and watches me the entire time im there (which was a lot baby 1 and 2). When I'm not pregnant she is still a love bug but she doesnt hover.
