Oh I know! When Zoe is half asleep sometimes she will want me to pick her up and she will lay her head on my shoulder. It makes me melt. I miss the newborn snuggles!

E has learned how to shake his head (more like his whole torso) and say no at the same time. He does the same movement/dance when music comes on that he likes.

I came home from work yesterday and asked him if he wanted to take a nap, cue head shake no. I asked him if he was hungry, cue head shake no. I asked him if he loved his mama, cue head shake no. My husband is laughing so hard at all of this so Enic erupts in laughter too.

We were at a store last night and sometimes if E finds a lady he likes he watches her and whips around to smile at her. Apparently he wasn't amused at the old lady chatting him up last night. She was talking to him and he gave her the stare down. Usually I can ask E to smile at them and he will. Instead when I asked him to smile he just shook his head no. I just laughed and told the lady he had just learned how to say no as we were walking away.

Just woke up to go to the bathroom. Oddly this is the same time last year I woke up and had my contraction. DD was born 14hours later. This year I hope we can see the fireworks, since we missed them last year. July4th is my favorite holiday.

DH got up woth G, got him dressed and left for the grocery store so I could have some alone time! He's never offered this I'm assuming there there is some motivation.... oh well. I'm enjoying my coffee while sitting in the nursery(comfy chair).

My kids finally slept last night at the lake. Hooray for everyone! Today we have a lot of company arriving for our annual 4th of July lake bash and we're also having a birthday party for my dad on Saturday. So excited!

Today is DHs birthday and I haven't gotten anything for him. All I can think of to get him is a new wallet and some new shorts. Which is totally lame compared to my kitchenaid mixer. Oh well. He'll get them anyway because that's what he needs and he won't buy them for himself.

In other news, L has learned how to play fetch with the dog. She throws the toy, looks to Ellie (our dog) for her to get it, waits for her to bring it back and repeats. It is the cutest thing.

Dh and I got into a fight last night right before bed, so I slept on the couch. Well, I didn't actually sleep a lot. I can never sleep well when we're fighting He wakes up this morning, after a full night sleep since I had the monitor with me, and says "hey, we good?" We never resolved the argument, but I guess he developed amnesia over night and doesn't remember calling me a crappy wife.....

So now I'm hurt, tired, and angry. This should be a great day.

@casey78 Thanks. I guess what I'm most upset about, besides the comment itself, is that I had NO clue he felt that way at all. I know our house isn't the cleanest (it's cluttered, not dirty), but I didn't realize it was such an issue for him. I feel like he should have mentioned it was bothering him before flying off the handle at me. Stupid guy!

I'm going to brag about my dh for a minute. Yesterday was my first day back at work so I was tired last night. After dinner and after I put Lily to bed I stood in the kitchen and let out a huge sigh, dh came in behind me and asked what the problem was. I said "it's just the kitchen, I have to clean it before bed" he says "yah it's a mess in here, but what can I help you with?". This is not like him, and I wanted to weep tears of gratitude lol. He emptied and loaded the dishwasher while I cleaned the counters and made Lily's lunch for today. :x

My parents are still staying with us. Yesterday my mom came up with these gems: if a baby is choking, you don't pound on their back, you hold up their arm and to E when DH came home,"There's that fuzzy guy who talks to mommy sometimes!" :-?

And this morning, when I mentioned that E felt warm and I needed to check her temp,"Don't give her milk! It will curdle in her stomach if she has a fever!"

Eliza woke up about 5 saying she was scared of the mouth (????) and didn't want to go back to her bed, didn't want to sleep next to daddy and wouldn't sleep on our bed. She wanted to be in my lap. She was shaking. She then talked about ghosts. My poor little girl had her first truly frightening nightmare or my house is haunted by ghosts with scary mouths.

I finally got her to calm down a bit and she went back to sleep in my bed and this morning before I left she woke up a bit. She started talking about the mouths again. She said they were going to bite her. Then she said they were going to bite daddy and then everyone. She said one day she was going to be big like me and the mouth wouldn't get her anymore.

Dude, you guys, I have no idea how to help my baby! It's so sad. She was terrified and since it was all mental I couldn't take it away.

Puke-free day *and* night for the first time since last Friday <:-P

All he would eat for breakfast was the crust off the leftover pizza I was having. But it was made from scratch nongreasy good-quality pizza from a local Italian restaurant so that's basically just like bread right? Plus he had a banana pouch at 4am. I'm calling this a win

@Meimsx‌ poor Eliza! I was just reading yesterday about how three year olds have such active imaginations--my DS definitely does! His bad dreams were about kangaroos under his bed and robots coming up the stairs to his bedroom!

I told her the mouth was all gone and she totally lit up. Then I told her daddy would protect her so she would be okay and that seemed to help. She already says her prayers every night and it's always the same, "thank you for this day and bless to have no bad dreams" Spray might go into the rotation as well.
