    Or go on bcp!

I have tried so many over the years.
Some that made me a bitch, some that stopped my period completely, some that made me bleed constantly, others that caused headaches...everyday.
My doc has advised against hormonal BC.
We are hoping luck is on our side....
...still 1 month til the consultation...then who knows how long til the procedure...

I would so clean that mess if it meant i got 5 hours of sleep!

@Cmmo14‌ I may have flagged you instead of "loved" your last comment! Damn iPhone screen!! :(

    I'm gonna bet you didn't.
I hit the flag/report button by accident because the page was slow to load.
After scrolling I found a 'report reason' pop up.
    You're probably safe. ;)
  • @Jt7dreamz‌ and @babycaps good luck tomorrow! I feel like the days always go faster now that I have LO to go home to.

I wonder when M15 will have a puppies and rainbows promise thread ;)

@bjd316‌ let her sleep! Still sleeping from last night?

Yes! She didn't actually go down until 1030-11 I believe. We were at a graduation party pretty much all day so I'm thinking she's just completely worn out. I keep going to check on her.
My LO has days where he doesn't sleep much. He doesn't sleep straight through all night long, but he sleeps well from 9pm-9am. Some days he wakes up, plays for about an hour then has a 3 hour nap.
I just let him do his thing.

If he had a fever...I would check him, otherwise...sleep.
  • @Jt7dreamz‌ @babycaps‌

I am in the same boat, I start on Wednesday.

We are going to do daycare dry runs on Monday and Tuesday. I am going to get up and get going as if going to work to make sure I am giving myself enough time.

I am looking forward to it, but also a little anxious.

    Hugs mammas.
  • Do I eventually stop finding myself surprised that it's a weekend day and that I'm taking care of LO just like a weekday, because DH has to mow the lawn or do some other hours-long house task?

  • That's what I am thinking @bennieangel‌. Plus I haven't worked in a corporate setting in 5+ years and I am not at pre-preg weight so I need new work clothes. I am going shopping for a few hours and then I am going to get him.

I lose track of what day it is because DH works every Saturday a d frequently on Sundays.
He has 1 day middle of the week off.
I check the calendar on my phone frequently... And on his day off...he cuts grass, vacuums, we try to get out and do something as a family.
  • PS bitterswert that the popcorn thread was closed. Probably for the best

  • Dh is pissing me off. It's the weekend. I would like your help with the baby please. Especially when her routines are thrown off and mine are too.

He's going to a friend's birthday party an hour away, and it's outdoors and 80 degrees so I don't want to take Allison. He never sees them so I don't want to say don't go but I need him here today. FB has the story why. Well, now she won't latch in any position or with a shield either. So I am trying to pump and not getting anywhere near my usual yield because I am stressed.

He says he needs a break because he worked half the day yesterday. Ok, well, I did too. Stop saying you need more sleep or that you need a chance to relax. My job is just as hard as yours - and I don't get breaks.

    /vent over.

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.

  • On the 'telling LO to smile for me... MIL is obsessed with getting LO to 'talk'. She constantly says, 'tell me a story...I don't believe you, you're telling lies'. Ug
  • I am sorry so many have annoying mil problems today. Thankfully mine is in PA for 2 weeks!
  • @CaseAndDave‌ boo, that whore! The fact you haven't throat punched that woman is a miracle!

  • My MIL is driving me crazy! She took my DD (4 years old) home from church. In the span of 4 hours, she fed her chocolate cake, Italian ice, a Popsicle, and gummies. Junk food like this are treats at home and are giving VERY sparingly. MIL knows this but always pumps her full of crap, and DD always comes home with a stomach ache.

  • The husband and I have been at each other's throats since yesterday afternoon. I swear he's on his man period since I know mine is still two weeks away.

Hopefully going back to work tomorrow gets our minds off fighting, and we can get along again.

  • My H gave mia a dab of icing the other day. I blew up. Then later she had a runnier than usual diaper, not anything to bad but i played it up and told him "this is why she cannot have people food yet!"

He still tries to act like he's giving her stuff, just to get a rise out of me. But hasn't anymore

  • I swear I just felt something rough in LO's mouth scratch my nipple while he was eating.

I guess I will be investigating later.

(Covering my eyes...will he be like his big sister and get teeth early??)
  • My LOs grandparents always say they're going to feed her something crazy or let her do something crazy. They're kidding and I know but still repeat that it's not appropriate. I don't mind that so much as when my mom and stepdad were watching her, I texted to find out how she was doing and he texted back that she was in the basement playing with power tools. Kidding again but this time I'm not there and I want to know what my kid is doing. Not cool.

  • @bennieangel‌
DD had 5 teeth pop through right around the 4 month mark.
Then 3 more at 6 months. Then she had all 20 primary teeth by 16 or 18 months.

    DS1 didn't get any teeth until 8 months - the first 4.
Then at 10 months he got the next 4.
He is almost 19 months and just got 8 in the last month.
Still waiting on the last 4 molars.

LO has been biting his fingers lately...not sucking, biting.
I'm not worried really, neither of the other kids bit and I BFed them til 1 year.
Although DD's adult teeth came in so quick that she had to get braces last year at 11. She will still have them for another 8-12 months due to crowding.
  • (Still reading - back a few pages)

DH has no interest in hanging out with us right now. It kind of hurts my feelings that he doesn't want to hang out with LO on his days off

Sorry... We have a phone or tv addicted dh many days. Have you told him? I tell dh that it's frustrating when he doesn't want to hang out when he gets home and sometimes it works for about 20 min
I find that when he gets home from work to give him an hour to himself (this also applies when I get home). It gives him time to unwind before focusing on home life. And Sundays are dedicated lazy days where he is in charge of baby for at least one awake period (solo).
This helped me not get irritated with him for not spending time with us. :)

Hahahaha @bunnyfungo‌ mine lays on him facing him and says in French "regarde maman, Noah rouge" because he turns all red hahaha

Reading this made me have a small burst of pride for still knowing my elementary French. Boo ya.
  • MIL watched Robert for 7 hours ... And fed him 16oz (4 bags of 4oz each). Good lord... I need to put a lock on my freezer.

I didn't think I'd have to tell her that fussy doesn't always mean hungry... It could mean bored, tired, wet... Good lord.

She then said it's probably time I move him up to 6 ounces. Um no. Everytime I give him a bottle he eats just shy of 4oz and he never eats that often. And he's not going through a growth spurt. Ugh.
  • To all the moms working and leaving LO with someone else...

Babies (and toddlers) quite often will eat a different amount, different frequency when mom isn't around.
They may eat more or less than normal.
They may do it for just a few days/weeks or could maintain the altered schedule for months.
Try not to stress, just be prepared.

Also, quite often caregivers are afraid to NOT offer food, as food is a source of comfort for babies.

Good luck to everyone working or even just getting out for a day.
  • @missfunball I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you!

    @bunnyfungo @babycaps sorry for your rough days . . . yikes.

  • @Jt7dreamz‌ I called my new supervisor today to ask about pumping. I think I threw them for a loop. I also talked to HR and they were surprised too. Glad I called them ahead of time rather than just showing up on Wednesday with my pump.

The scheduled breaks aren't a big deal for them, I think it is just finding me accommodation since my office isn't private (floor to ceiling glass).

  • I'm sorry for everyone having a rough day.  I am NOT looking forward to teething.  Part of me is hoping LO will take after me and not start teething until she's a year old...but I know that's nuts.

I'm trying to see if LO will nap in her crib.  She went down around 5 and woke about 10 minutes ago.  I think I'm going to have to go get her - I was hoping she'd settle herself down.

Did anyone use a RNP and transition to the crib?  Any suggestions for doing so?
