@bennieangel I don't like hot wings, but I do love Indian food. I've eaten it pretty regularly while BFing the twins, and DS1 before. None of them have had any problems, and now DS1 can pack away an Indian buffet like nobodies business! Try it out, remember that women in cultures that routinely eat spicy foods don't change their diet just because they're nursing! (Of course if LO has a reaction, hold off next time!)
@Missanniewc82 is Bw3's BWW (Buffalo Wild Wings)? IF so...are you nursing? If so...did you get spicy wings? I really want to get my fave spicy wings...but I'm afraid of what they'll do to LO!
I've been eating spicy food including wings all along. J doesn't seem to mind. Your results may vary.
Thank you everyone it just seems like lately I am all alone. My dads 1 year since passing away is coming up. He had wanted me to do something with his ashes. We had it planned out before he died. Well his wife won't even give me part of them to carry out his wishes. I feel like I am failing him but there is nothing I can do about it. I have no family around me except for mh and kids. I don't have any friends close by. I am just having a pity party for myself.
@ProudMommy030614 I'm sorry! I'm so sad for you- such a devastating loss and I can't even imagine what a hard time this is coming up for you. I hope it works out with the ashes and that she realizes how important it is to you and was to your father. Hugs!! Not a pity party at all...you're perfectly entitled to feel this way. Vent away!
I fail at trying to save money. I was at Kohls with my mom and they had these nice anti gravity lounge chairs on clearance so of course I bought them.
@bjd316 oye! I'm heading to Kohls in the am...please don't tell me how awesome their deals are [-X MH will kill me-I'm supposed to "just get one thing" (bday gift for someone)
And by "please don't tell me" I mean tell me of all the things!!!!! Lol
@ProudMommy030614 - I'm so sorry. She's being a twat. I can't imagine how you must feel.
My amazing sleeper has woken up 3 times a night or more every night for the past week, starting Saturday night. DH and I have been stumped and wracking our brains to figure out what changed. Was she gassy? Was it the wonder week at play? Did she lose her ability to self-soothe? We had company over last weekend on Saturday and just TONIGHT, DH tells me that their 2.5 year old toddler climbed into the r-n-p and started vigorously rocking in it...
::headdesk::
While giving Ally a bottle, I asked him to collapse it and reset it. All of a sudden, the angles changed. She went to sleep 2 hours ago and hasn't made a peep. If that's the reason she's struggled all week, well, I'm glad we found it, but why didn't someone tell the toddler not to go in another child's bed??? And why didn't he think of it earlier?? She woke 6 times last night. 6. We didn't sleep for more than 1.5 hours at a clip.
I am hoping tonight is back to "normal"...
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
@wildhoney4508 haha well I didn't look at too much but the chairs I bought were a pretty good price. They also had a bunch of the jumping beans onesies and shorts for 4.99. I also had a 30% so I bought some of the clothes for her too.
Love jumping beans! thanks for the tips! How did you get the 30% off? I never see that unless you have a Kohls charge, which I don't. :-/
A friend from high school now lives near me for the first time since we were in school (her H is military and stationed at the base my H works at). Her mom came to visit and wanted to see the babies so they came over. Her mom says to me "Glad to see you've finally put on some weight". Excuse me? I had an athletic build in high school (14 years ago) but was never stick-thin. Even if I had been, who says that to someone?! Especially post-baby!
@ntdane I had people say that to me after I had DD.
I will say, I was underweight when I got pregnant with her. I was still up 15 lbs when she stopped breast feeding at a year old, and STILL never lost it, but I was finally within 'normal' or 'average' (optimal?) weight for a woman my height.
It was irritating to hear. But I just told people to keep their weight thoughts to themselves since I didn't tell them they should gain/lose 10/20 lbs.
She slept!! 7:45-4:30. She woke a couple of times and made noise but was back to sleep within a minute or two. I'm pumping since she instill refusing to latch and dh is feeding. But she slept!!!
How did we not think of this sooner???
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
My poor baby is so sick. I had her at the doctors yesterday for a bad cough and lack of eating because of cough. They gave me a nebulizer and then last night she developed a fever of 101.5 and still wasn't eating. I called the answering service and the doc called me back and told me to give her 2-3 oz of pedialyte since she only had eaten 5 oz at most that day. She still isn't eating.. I got her to eat another 3 oz of pedialyte but the she threw it up with mucus and what I'm guessing is bile because it's yellow. No more fever though but I'm more concerned with her hydration because she's only ha a couple wet diapers. Off to the doctor again. This is so heartbreaking
@laurstarx - scary stuff! I hope she feels better soon.
@torilea - I hate your landlord for you. My answer would be "sure, but only if you can go without rent for a few days." Babies and heat is no joke - Allison gets awful heat rash if she's in a warm environment - indoor or outdoor - so I can only imagine how you all feel.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
@ProudMommy030614 I'm so sorry. Losing your dad is hard enough. You shouldn't have to be dealing with that bs on top of it!
@laurstarx I hope she feels better and that the dr visit helps
@torilea hopefully your landlord isn't a douche and realizes how bad it is to not have A/C with an infant around. Good luck
My gripe is that I have a bachelorette party tonight. It's for my best friend since 7th grade and I know I'll have a good time. However, I was in FL from this past sat - wed for work and then worked the rest of the week when I got back so I have had no time with DH or LO and I miss them. I just want LO cuddles all day.
@torilea - document every day you are without air in sweltering heat. I wouldn't be willing to pay rent for the days you are without air in that kind of heat. Especially if it means you have to sleep elsewhere.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
I am on my way to get my haircut (it's been six months since my last one). After, I am heading to Target to buy all sorts of stuff I don't need. By the way, I'm doing all of this without the kids with me. My mom is watching them for me.
I'm so tired. LO has actually been sleeping longer the last few nights but I feel more tired than I did when he was getting up at his usual times. Weird. I'm totally pumping & heading to bed - lame for a Saturday night.
I read all of this, but the only part I actually 'heard' in my head was... "It's Saturday night", and I was like ... "Whaaaaat??? It's Saturday?!?!" Lol.
Now rereading...yes, the first few nights when the body is not used to sleep...exhausting.
I was reading I'll Love You Forever to Layla yesterday. I've never really read it the whole way through before. And all I could think about while I was reading it was what was the husband's wife thinking of her MIL?
And I could picture @chphotomama (I decided it had to be you since you won the crazy MIL lottery) coming on here to bitch about her crazy MIL sneaking into her house to rock her husband back and forth and sing him a song.
Ok, I need to come out and say something. And I've been sitting on this post for nearly a day before deciding to say it.
I read the fffc and uo threads and my feelings are hurt. I have never felt more "out of the club" than I do now. I react to the teachers comment and get told I'm out of line and yet another poster does the same thing and is supported? For the same topic? That hurts.
Maybe it was the way I initially reacted or the fact that it was in a fffc thread rather than a uo - I'm not quite sure where the difference is. But the other poster and I pretty much gave the same sentiments and I was told I was out of line.
Just my observation.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
@saisongbird she was supported? From how I read the comments, most were from the angle of "We've all got it tough. No job is "hardest, worst, underpaid or underappreciated most" so let's stop beating the dead horse and move on."
It didn't seem to me like everyone supported her. But that's just me. Sorry if you got offended.
Uuuugggghhh. DH took the dryer half apart because it wouldn't start. I pulled out the filter and it was full of lint. Hey dumbass, it didn't start because you didn't empty it and that safeguards against burning your house down. So now I can't finish the laundry because he has to go to work and he pulled all these random pieces off.
Can you tell who does the laundry in our house?? *facepalm*

That would be my H.
Mine too.
There are 3 of is who do laundry at my place. Me, DH and my mom. I seem to be the only one who can empty the lint trap and it drives me nuts! At least DH is not handy enough to even consider pulling the dryer apart!
It just rubbed me the wrong way that I can have the same exact opinion a week earlier and be told I'm out of line. (Fffc two weeks ago). I also am now afraid to ask bfing questions, because I am still having problems but I don't see an lc until Thursday. I'm trying to figure out where I fit now, because all I feel is odd.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
I feel like Varys (GoT) and have little birds. Apparently some bitchy women without lives decided to gossip and talk shit on the ferry back from Seattle and my guy friend happened to over hear.
Question: I know 2 people I thought I was friendly with in that group, should I approach or just dump them for not standing up for me or at worst were one of the ones that talked shit? Or something I'm not thinking of?
I feel a little out of the club too. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everything but I'm doing my best to give support where I see it. The random thread is the hardest for me. I usually have 50-100 posts to read and by the time I get to something that could use support, it's three pages back.
@nikkys2008 I feel the same way. It's overwhelming sometimes, but I don't want that to be misconstrued as I don't care. It's a lot to read and by the time I do, people have already moved on. Also, I'm still having a hard time concentrating on conversations, which is a side effect of still sleep deprivation and my PPA. I post when I can and think of you ladies often!! >:D<

@nkrone08 cuddles all day party all night? I get it though, LO changes so much
@torilea I told my landlord if they didn't fix our heat in the middle of winter I would prorate each day. Got fixed within 36 hours.
Also place ice water between LO and the fan, it will help. If she's really warm, put on a onsie and mist with water. And of course the ILs.
Hope the ass takes care of it soon!
