I noticed yesterday that my boobs didn't feel as full as they usually do, but I just read that it's normal around this time for your body to regulate our supply to what baby needs.
This makes me feel less worried, but also kind of sad! I was proud of my boobs for how much they were making, and now I feel like I won't be able to pump as much when I need to. Should I have been pumping this whole time if I wanted to create a stash? I only did it on an as needed basis before (about 4 times). I needed to for this Friday, at least 6oz., and now I'm afraid I won't be able to or that'll take a few days to be able to pump that much.

@SLSchuerg I've read that your supply regulates around 12 weeks so you can still increase if you need. It's likely that you're just less engorged because your body is adjusting.
@ColleenSwerb I have had to cut dairy while nursing with each kid. I always forget just how much dairy I consume when I stop it. I really miss ice cream

There is a monster size spider in my house somewhere. It escaped its death because DH was still half asleep when trying to kill it. It needs to die, like yesterday!!!
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
@ColleenSwerb if you cut it out for a few days and see no difference then it wasn't an issue and have all the Mac an cheese you want! If it makes a big difference then it's worth it
I eat SO much dairy. I love yogurt and cheese and it would be really hard for me to cut it out.

So far its only milk, cheese, and ice cream that seem to really upset my kiddos too. But I still try to avoid what I can. A lot of our staple meals have milk and cheese in them.

I am so bad at baby wearing! It hurts my back---maybe it's because I still have no core muscles but damn he is only 9 lbs! It's so great in theory but how the heck do moms tote around high teens or twenties??? He better be able to walk... This is the same for both the ergo and k'tan for me. Sore lower back after 30 minutes??? Anyone else?

I had to start off slow with baby wearing and built up to longer times.

So new mom experience for me last night: nursing dd and all of a sudden my shirt is wet. I look to see if it's breastmilk. Nope, must be pee. Go to change her diaper, huge blow out. She got poop all over her and me.
Then this morning she managed to scratch herself in the nose in her sleep. Cue huge panic attack for that resulted in a 30 minute crying session.
9 am and all 2 kids and I are dressed and fed, dinner in the crockpot, dd had a dentist appt and then dropped at daycare. LO is napping for a bit before we head out to Bath &Body Works to stock up on hand soap. I think this level of productivity merits 3 hours straight of Grey's Anatomy when we get home!

Dinners in the crockpot over here too! Chili lime pork brisket I found at Target. Can I ask what you're making? I love crock pot recipes!
@dani+california wow I'm in the next town over and my dr wanted to see my LO within three days of birth . I had a c section though so she had to wait a few days. I'd say he's had about 4-5 appts he's 7 weeks this Saturday they've just been weigh ins basically for the most part. It s just my GP too not an pediatrician
Going to lose my mind today. It's like the encore of yesterday
Vet finally called and told is to reduce the dose of steroids to see if it would help . He reduced it by more than half.
I really think the initial dosage was just crazy high and my poor Justice is still adjusting to it . I really hope it gets better because I don't want to try another drug on the poor guy . Just want his ears to feel better and for him to stop peeing / fake peeing constantly I deal with enough pee and poo daily I can't take scrubbing area rugs and couch cushions and getting pee smell out of my house everyday

James' nails are growing so quickly that it's hard to keep up with clipping them. It's usually once I see a scratch or tiny blood spot on his face that I know it's time to bring out the nail clippers. I hate seeing those scratches those
For you ladies that use a milk saver (a la Milkies), I have been using the Medela soft shells for inverted nipples on the other side and it works the same way. The only downside is they are easy to spill, so be careful!
The packaging on my shells say not to save that milk. I don't know why, but they must have a reason.
You think that having to do literally everything in and out of the house would've been easier by now. Nope. I feel like I'm walking on a tight rope. I have no room to breathe. I have to do everything around the house, all lawn and yard work, groceries, both kid's well being, meals, both dogs... I am the only one who can drive. I am losing my mind.

I can't imagine how hard this must be. Keep your chin up - I'm sure you are kicking ass!
I could probably get it if I asked, but I'm not good at asking for help. I am laying on bed right now with the baby while DH is upstairs with DD playing the Xbox. He's mad that we ran out of milk. I can't fucking do it all.
I could never give up dairy. Or carbs. I did a clean eating challenge once with a boot camp I did for 4 weeks. It was rough. I lost a ton of weight but no way could I keep that lifestyle up.
Sorry @rockstarlaw!!! It was so good though. I'll try again tomorrow with no dairy, lol.
I love love love Daiya cheese, they sell it at Whole Foods and other natural stores. Usually near the soy and almond cheese. It's the only non dairy cheese that I like - it stretches and tastes very similar to real cheese.
Edit to add: try blending 1T of coconut oil and a dash of vanilla into your coffee with a blender or immersion blender. The flavor is great and it gives a creamier texture.
@ColleenSwerb...I've been dairy free for 8 years. I can definitely offer some recipes and ingredient replacements. Nothing will ever beat cheese but I have a good vegan mac recipe! Coconut oil will be your new best baking friend!!! And hey, now's the time to really get inti Asian cuisines!!
ETA: Califia Farms almond milk is my favorite. They even make a couple of coffee ones...double espresso and mocha. Perfect for new moms, IMO.
@speechie517 I love their ice cream....unfortunately, I can't find it close enough round here to get it very often. I've seen it in Publix but that is a 45 min drive

@dani+california hugs, motherhood is hard, there is no question about it. I'm 3 kids in and sometimes I feel like I'm just surviving. For me its not always this way, I hope it wont be for you either.

I miss you guys! My wifi isn't working and the reception in my neighborhood sucks donkey dick so I haven't been able to bump with my mobile data. I can't wait to get my wifi back so I can keep up with this damn thread but for now Dylan says "hi".
Totally beat the dr's office today!! They made me pay $241 for my iud last week. I called my insurance company about something else and the rep mentioned that the office billed it incorrect and I shouldn't have paid anything! So I call the dr's office. She tells me that because my ob works for Mercy and they are a catholic hospital he can't bill the iud as a contraceptive so I still owed the money. I was pissed and told her that no one warned me of that and I would probably be switching drs.
She called back 20 minutes later and told me she spoke with my dr (who I love and would've been pissed to leave. But money is important too) and he was willing to break policy and bill it so I didn't owe anything!!! It's going to take 6-8 weeks to get my money back but who cares! Win for the little guy!

Eff you, breast feeding. Thanks for nothing.
I told DH that's why I've been extra bitchy. In my heart I knew it was PMS.
