I had gained 8lbs at the 16 week appointment and the doctor said I was right on track. She said the goal is 25-30, but she is most concerned with healthy eating and regular exercise....So, the piece of chocolate cake in my lunch bag is breaking the rules a bit, but I will take a walk tonight to balance it out!

I'm up about 10-11 at 17w, 3d. It's more than I was expecting to gain this soon so I'm hoping it was just a quick start and that I'll level off for awhile. I know part if it has been the struggle with a lack of appetite the nausea that has made me prone to eating unhealthier foods and larger portions when I can actually get food down. The lack of energy and nausea also made me less active.
I just keep trying to make myself be more active and eat better as well as reading the great posts/articles that remind us that now is the best time ever to be growing and that it's part of a miracle.
Eta: oh yeah, and all the calories from drinks when I developed an aversion to water haven't helped :-p
I'm 17 wks and down 10 lbs. This weekend I ate all the food and gained a pound, but Five Guys for lunch and frozen yogurt for dinner last night was totally worth it
It will be interesting to see how much I end up gaining... My last pregnancy I started out almost 30 pounds heavier than this time and I only gained 15 lbs total, I think mostly because I had GD. I just passed my glucose test and although I am watching what I eat, I am not being as strict as I was last time.... But I am exercising more than last time!
Around 13 lbs, I'd estimate (I'm afraid to weigh to verify!!!) & I'm 15.5 weeks. I eat way too much food that is not healthy & I've had to cut back my workouts a lot. I'm going to have my work cut out for me to get back to normal when this pregnancy is over! :-/
12-13lb at 17w4d. I was 120 before. 5'8" or 5'9". Gained only about 5lb the first 12 weeks or so, then quickly packed another 5lb in 4 weeks. Asked dr. At week 16 if I should be concerned about gaining too much weight, but she said no. So lets see what she says at the next appt
I feel like I'm just maintaining and honestly it was starting to scare me that maybe I needed to gain weight for the baby, but all these posts make me feel a bit better. Everyone is different. I'm 15 weeks and I've been volleying between gaining and losing 2lbs for the past few weeks with no real change in my activity. I feel like I'm eating 'normally' like from before I was pregnant, but perhaps a bit more often.
Up 4 pounds at 17 weeks. I am pretty health conscious, so that's with barely any indulging and hitting the pavement either walking or running 20-30 miles a week.
I'm so jealous! I have a tear in my placenta so no running for me.
I am almost 17 weeks pregnant and I'm down 14 pounds from where I was at 6 weeks. I blame the really bad all day sickness, which I continue to have, and being very turned off by food. My dr. hasn't really said much about my weight, she says I'm still healthy and my baby looks good.
I'm 18 weeks and have gained about 9 pounds. Seems reasonable to me, especially considering I pretty much could barely move at all, let alone continue my running regimen in my first tri. Much more energy and able to exercise now.
At my 16 weeks appointment I was up 2 pounds from my very first appointment. I am pretty pleased with that. I was already heavy to begin with so I have been trying to eat better foods and staying away from my sweet or carb filled cravings.
I never weigh myself in regular life or while pregnant, and my midwives never weigh me either. I know what my body feels like and if I've gained a few or lost a few, and I've definitely gained a few but I don't really care. It is what it is, I'm building a human being and that takes a lot of energy, mostly from banana splits.
I've gained 1 pound and I'm at 15 weeks. My midwife wasn't too happy with me at my 12 week apt. because I hadn't gained a single pound. At least I've gained something!
I just got back from my doc appointment and I've gained 8lbs in 1 month! Yikes! I did lose 4 in the month before that but I was also about 10lbs heavier than normal when I got my BFP. Ughhh. It's hard to believe that with all the vomiting I've been doing I've managed to pack on 8lbs in one month. I blame those damn delicious bagels and gold fish crackers...
