Random thought: I'm wondering if we should take bets on how many are gonna give birth in June. June 14 board had like 25 May births
My question about this is are they regs or are a bunch of randoms posting birth stories? Is that normal for a BMB? I don't think I was on DDs then
I'm not sure I don't follow their board enough to recognize names/regulars but it seems fairly common
People crawl out of the woodwork to AW their newborns. It's like the day after they deliver they sign up for TB out of hospital boredom and post post post post post post post all about themselves.
ummmmm welcome.

Does anyone else's OB/midwife NOT do internal checks? I asked my OB last week when internal checks start and she said she doesn't do them unless I have other labor symptoms. She said it can actually push things along if she messes down there. I'm kind of happy that I don't have to get them, and at the same time I'm kind of sad that I won't know whether I'm progressing.
Either way it doesn't matter since I'm getting a RCS. I'm a special kind of snowflake.
When DH and I moved to our house, my mom gave me our old piano. DH and my brother actually moved it onto the U-haul (it rolls) and off the u-haul into our basement... but it's sat there ever since. He says there's no way in hell he's ever moving it again, so I'm looking into piano movers just to move it from the basement to the upstairs. Oy.

I have died every day waiting for you. Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you a thousand more.

Mine is leaving me alone as well, especially since I'm trying for a VBAC. She wants to ensure that my bag o waters stays intact for as long as possible. She wants things to progress as naturally as possible with no inductions.
Put that donut away! Unless you have enough for the whole class
In other news,
Maya Angelou died today at 86. I did not see that coming and I'm very sad to hear this news
Agreed... A lot of times when I get pop culture updates such as this on my phone (aka kimye married, MJ died, Anna Nicole died, etc) I'm like meh, ok big deal. But Maya Angelou? I pretty much stopped dead in my tracks (no pun intended) and was like whoa, didn't even know she had been sick.

Hey! I was devastated when MJ died! But I totally get your point. I don't give a shit that Kim got married again or any other nonsense for that matter. So friggin what? But Ms. Angelou did wonderful, meaningful and legendary work in her time and is one of the reasons I appreciate literature so much. She will be missed.

Same here as well. I do have the strep B swipe next week, but that's it.
My belly hurts really bad whenever I try to move. So DS and I are having a movie afternoon. I'm sitting here snuggling with the aden+anais blanket I just bought the baby this morning. I love these blankets.
That's it. The BMB award has me wanting to be a gifer. Is there a thread on how?
Are you asking how to do it from mobile or from a computer?
Is it possible to do it from mobile?????? I was mostly inquiring about from a comp but both I guess.
It is! I believe @jessa8907 made a post about it, so I'll look for that.
From the computer, you just right click on the gif you want and click "copy image url" and then on the post where you want to put the gif you you click on the icon in the tool bar of the reply box and paste the url code. Easy peasy.
It was cute til I played myself in the unique baby name thread. Had to change the damn link 15 times and it still doesn't work lmao oh well. I haven't quite mastered it completely.
DH agreed to having a house cleaner come every other week. Today was her second time coming. Pretty sure it is some of the best money we have ever spent!

Mine doesn't do them either. I got one with my last pregnancy because I asked for it and he shrugged and did it. Otherwise, we don't do internals unless we're on or past the due date or having symptoms.

Well....sorta. We are planning now to move Rowdy to his middle name, combined with the other middle name we had, which is an even crazier name! Let's say the other middle name is "Kick" (it's not).
We have two "normal" names picked out for the first name, one I like and one DH likes, and we are going to hold a coin flipping ceremony soon to decide which one it will be. No backsies!
The issue now is how to do the middle names. Should it be FN "Rowdy Kick" LN, FN "RowdyKick" LN, or FN "Rowdy-Kick" LN.
There's some confusion over how these various incarnations would show on his Social Security card, etc. Thoughts ladies?
5 years TTC, no luck with IUI's, failed IVF June 2013,
FET Oct 2013 with delayed transfer, intralipids, lovenox & prednisone= first BFP of my life!
P.S. anyone buy one of these? Do they actually work? Trying to get my bebegrr out of Little Dude's Carseat and crib, she is obsessed with them. Total tree dweller too so it's weird. (Can you tell she's my first cat?)
Have you tried putting sticky tape on the stuff you don't want kitteh on?

I was really interested in two middle names, but from what I've heard from friends with 4 names, it is a major pain with all kinds of paperwork/identification. I'd go for the RowdyKick or hyphenated one!

Hmm, this is good to know! We are giving our baby 2 middle names, but we figured she wouldn't really use them in day to day life (her first name will be Claire, which is simple and easy). I kind of just naively assumed that she'd have to write them on a form a few times a month and that would be the extent of her frustrations with the name.
What's the big pain, if you don't mind me asking?
I know that DH's last name is two words (Van Lastname), so he's always had a problem with people thinking that Van is his middle name and thinking the second word is his actual last name. It screws things up a lot with hotel and airline reservations, but we didn't think that a middle name would cause her any problems. This poor kid will have enough problems with Van Lastname!
Who has two thumbs, is still 1cm dilated, but now 50% effaced and might be induced on June 21st? *points to self* THIS girl.
O--M--G. I was already spazzing about being due in 5 weeks, but now it might be 3w3d til I get to meet this little wiggler. Totally conflicted but so very excited to see this baby and smooch her up!!

I don't really know! Whenever I brought it up, people with four names would say it was such a hassle.. but it doesn't really seem like that big of a deal to me either! (Although I only have 3 names so I have no personal experience). I didn't really have my heart set on two middle names, and DH didn't want two middle names, so with so many people telling me it was a pain I just decided to give up on the idea.
I don't think it's that you have to fill out paperwork all the time so much as that when you do fill out paperwork for various forms, the forms tend to be very inconsistent, which results in your name ending up inconsistent across various things.
Omg, I finally know how to mobile gif now!!!! I feel like I just washed away the last of my newbiness.

@literachick is that held on by suction cups? I wouldn't trust that with my chunkers, but I did have a window seat that screwed into the frame that they loved. Had to take it down though because it was in what's now the nursery.

Staaaahhhp! I'm still trying to convince myself I have all the time in the world to get shit done before this kid gets here. I can't believe some of you ladies are so close to your due/induction dates!!
I hear ya! Today I had a dentist appointment and had to make a follow-up appt in 6 weeks, and I nearly had a panic attack in the dentist's office when I realized that the next time I come in I will have an outside baby. You mean I actually have to give birth soon and then take care of a tiny human on the outside?! :-o
