i managed to wedge the bouncy seat between my side of the bed and dresser and finally got him to sleep for almost 3 hrs. my LO will usually be very content in his swing and he has slept in it more times than i care to admit
I had a 2 year old running around and unplugging cords and then 2 inches from my face asking if I was ok while DS2 was in the stroller crying hysterically during my 6 week exam. Apparently during the chaos they asked if I wanted bc and I said no? I was planning on getting the mini pill but since it's months until I see DH, I'm not too worried yet.
Went for my 6 week check today, got the mirena, and in the room next door at the ob was 3 screaming kids, if I wasn't planning on bc before that, they would of convinced me.
I ended up holding my own screaming baby while my OB inserted the Mirena. Awkward.
Yep getting my pap Lucas was pitching a fit! I held him the whole time. Poor kid
How many of your LOs will do tummy time on the floor? Mine has amazing neck control when he's on us (like holding his head up for minutes at a time) but acts like a bump on the log when on the floor. Or he has a screaming meltdown. Just wondering if he's progressing still without having productive floor tummy time.
Mine has great neck control, but the minute we lay him down for tummy time he falls asleep.

Penny is a pro. It's scary how strong she is. This was taken like 5 days ago. She would have been 5 weeks and a day. Not sure that's typical though...
I just watched Cy go to sleep in his swing, all by himself, without any rocking or help from me. I was so pleased... Until he woke up three minutes later. Why won't this kid nap? Argh.
I ask myself this every day about Emma. Some days she'll nap so well, other days, 30 minutes is a long nap.
First day back to work skipping 200 posts. I survived! Then I went to see my mom who got out of surgery and is doing well! An snow I'm feeding a hungry hungry caterpillar that wot let go of my shirt. Good day.

Trying to nurse Aiden before he goes to bed, and the kid erupts into an all-out screaming meltdown after five minutes on the boob. He literally is screaming so hard he isn't making a noise at some points. He'd calm down for a few seconds, latch back on, then do it all over... I'm pretty sure he's going to bed still a little hungry since he just won't nurse, and it breaks my heart when he does this. (
I'm guessing that it's gas, but I really have no idea. I don't think it's his reflux since he had his meds for that three hours ago and the screaming isn't accompanied by his crazy back arching. Last time I tried gripe water he projectile vomited all over me, himself, the couch and the changing table so I really don't want to go that route again...
Omggg LO has horrible gas pains so we're dealing with allllllllll the screaming right now. Poor little lady, she's having such a tough night.
The funny/not funny part is that we started E.A.S.Y in earnest today and she was a rockstar! Super happy all day and right on schedule for everything, including being sound asleep down for the night by 8. Then, right as DH and I were congratulating ourselves for being the best parents EVARRRR, she woke up screaming and has.not.stopped.
Sigh. We'll try again tomorrow. Pass the wine, please.
Left Penny home with DH.... Said I was getting groceries. I am sitting in the parking lot of the grocery store enjoying a coffee before heading in and I don't even feel bad about it. Feels good to be alone for a few minutes.
For EASY I'm taking a page from @MamaFantastic's book and just trying to keep an eye on how much she's up. She often falls asleep after eating but if she decides to stay awake we do activity and I try and settle her down for a nap or at least rest after 90 minutes. I don't try to keep her up if she's tired. That never works for us. Am I totally missing the point?

I went shopping today and left LO with DH for the first time ever (was gone about 2 hours) hoping he would get a dose of what I go through every day.
She slept the whole freaking time I was gone.
This happened to me last weekend. I got my hair cut and went shopping for a dress to wear for a wedding this weekend, and Aiden slept for most of the time. I was pissed, not gonna lie.
Hey! Forgot to AW that it's my 8 year anniversary today! Hubby had a huge bouquet of my favorite flowers delivered, the same he bought me the night he proposed. I was blown away, and told him he earned mega brownie points for after my six week check up. We got out to tapas and sangria happy hour and The Bean slept through it. Made sure to go at an awkward time so we'd have less chance of annoying people if she melted down. All in all, a really nice celebration considering we have a five-week old.
Sooo, with this EASY. How does it work when you want to get shit done? Like, am I supposed to rotate around her 90 min awake schedule? For instance - if she wakes up and eats, I know she will be asleep within 30 min if I put her in the car to go get stuff done. I also know she's more likely to be awake longer if we visit with people. How consistant are you about sticking to a awake for 90 min/sleep for 2-3 hour schedule?
After refusing to nap for the last several hours, this is how my sweet balding little turd decides to fall out: propped up by mom on dad with a thumb to keep the pacifier in. And wakes up if I move at all. For real, kid??
@TallaB I do rotate around her schedule. But I'm home right now and have no other kids. But I've noticed she has fallen into a loose timeline since we started. It's been a week or so I guess.
A while back I posted about this girl who wanted to know if I had my LO on a schedule yet. Well I had to see the same dumb bitch tonight. DS was spitting up some after I bf him. She says, "Girl! Why is he spitting up so much?! BF babies aren't supposed to spit up!"
Calgon, Take Me Away...
Somebody forgot to tell my baby that! He spits up SOOO much.

I would have ask her to tell me when LO was going to take his first steps and use the potty, since she's the great baby whisperer..

EASY method sucks when your kid won't freaking nap. All I do is try to put this kid to sleep. Seriously. And then he stares at me unblinking, even after 10 minutes of rocking.

Took me from 8:30-10:00 to get little girl to sleep. She only made it an hour. Most of it in my bed alone while I raced to clean as much as my living room as possible. Moved her to the playpen at 10:50, not even 10 minutes later she was awake and making noises. At least we caved and hired a cleaning lady, she's coming tomorrow morning and I'm going to enjoy every minute that my house is clean. I'll probably get her every two weeks until we sell the house and then I'll take back the responsibilities at the new place. So now I'll just have to focus on clutter and laundry. No more crying about my floors.
Has @avidkeo been around lately? Don't remember seeing her avatar recently, but if she changed it, I might be missing when she posts.
She has been reading some, but hasn't had time to post. She and little Jessica are doing well, but still getting into their routines. She asked me to give everyone her love!

@NoLaLinz According to Kellymom, there's no research that backs up the common theory of what Mom eats can make baby gassy. Unless you notice something specifically making baby gassy every time you eat a particular thing, chances are it's not what you're eating. I was so relieved when I read this!
