I think memes that make fun of overweight people are disgusting, not funny.
A girl shared a picture on Facebook this am that showed a very over weight man falling out of his scooter cart getting a case of soda and said something like, mean while at walmart.
I definitely think weight issues are a cause for concern but the way society mocks the over weight is super rude. People are defined by their character not their weight. I may be alone in not finding the humor in stuff like that.
I love the huge bows for baby girls. Like the ones that are bigger than their heads.
P.S. I was told by a friend that she hopes I only have boys so I will never get a chance to buy a bow. I wanted to throat punch her. Especially since she is just a know-it-all person who rarely has something nice to say if she doesn't agree with something. I have known her for 20 years and most of the time I love her.
Judging by the names people are posting they like this is an UO. I hate, hate, HATE the names and any spelling variations of Cayden, Jayden, Hayden, and Brayden. Aidan was a great name until people starting naming their children all these other names. No, you're not being creative, no the name is not uncommon.
Also on the hate list which seems people like: names that end in -leigh -lynn and any spelling variation of Brynley, Brynlynn, etc.
Making up baby names is not cool. You're not being unique. I have to wonder if the majority of people don't want to share their names because they know other people won't like them because they are made up names or made up spellings.

I don't have an OU (unless you don't like Leo). I just watched Wolf of Wall Street which reignited my fiery passion for Leo. Last night Titanic....tonight Gatsby. :x

Maybe my UO is I hated wolf of Wall Street. HATED. And I was so sad because I love Leo.
I hated Gatsby. I wanted to punch Leo. Just his voice and the way he talked made me want to scream.
@mrsmechanic1 you kinda sorta a little bit scare the shit out of me. Hahahahaha like in a good way. Like I give you mad props because you're so real. No fake bullshit. But yeahs a teeny nervous.

Same here. I just wanted it to be over. I actually can't believe we didn't turn it off before it was over. DH and I both thought it was painful to watch.

I'm definitely not going to say it was his best movie. For someone who doesn't enjoy "vulgar" language...especially excessive, I must have seriously been under the Leo spell bc I watched the whole thing like this =P~

Naw, I'm just kidding. I'm just a normal person like everyone else lol.
Drives me bat shit crazy when parents refer to the child's genitals as a wee wee or pee pee or tee pee or winky or privates. It's a penis and vagina.
Yes! My mom always referred to my son's penis as his "birdy" and now he calls it that. I have been trying so hard to retrain him, and I think it's getting better, but I hate it when he uses that term.

My friend, her husband and their little boy refer to it as "His Petey" ...........wtf. I'm with ya on this. Stupid.

On the penis/vagina convo, I didn't think about it before but my DS's BMB had a very enlightening conversation about it. It's good for a child to know the actual names as soon as possible, there's a difference (with a son for example) if his penis hurts vs his testicles in terms of what's wrong.
And then there's the scenario that no one wants to think about; but, especially if a cutesy name is used and a LO tries to tell a teacher or someone unfamiliar with the nickname that someone touched him/her there they may not get it and the incident won't get the attention that it should. One of the mothers on my other BMB knew someone that that happened to.

Really? We call it a wenis and I love it lol. And I always say my nono place, when referring to myself but more just to be funny because if I'm talking to the kids about touching body parts I say, "no one is to ever touch your penis". And I never talk about my nono place to the kids, obviously but I do enjoy saying this to DH especially when I'm not in the mood, I feel like the "no" will discourage him....it doesn't.
I'll stick with the baby names uo. I cannot stand when people name their kids such different types of names. For example... John and Easton or Mary and Taylee. Both of these names are great names but siblings names should be equal unique and go together.
Geeez tough crowd here with the names, I feel like after my DH wanted to name our daughter Khaleesi I need to share the name we are naming our son because you guys probably think it's a bat shit crazy name. So I'm going to share it here, we are having a little boy and his name will be Brooks.

I went to HS with a super sexy guy name Brooks. Love it!
this may not be a UO.......but I don't think children should get braces on baby teeth.
My situation right now is that SD is supposed to get braces next month....she is 13 now....but she already had them on baby teeth when she was around 8 years old. Now the insurance company won't pay for them again. I blame her mother.....I thought it was dumb when she got them....but i am just the step mom....what the hell do I know? I just don't understand braces on baby teeth. I feel this should be common sense. I am no orthodontist.....maybe I am wrong here.

Since I have nothing better, I'll weigh in on the clothes debate.
I hate skinny jeans (on both women and ESPECIALLY men, but I'm talking about women here mostly). I don't think anyone looks good in them unless they are very very skinny. I see way too many curvy girls trying to pull them off and I just think it accentuates the hips too much.
1. I think its nuts when people freak out over having gas stoves vs electric. For 99% of the population where everyone is JUST an average, everyday cook it makes absolutely NO difference! I grew up with gas, then had electric for years, then went to gas and now we're back to electric. And I can tell you it DOES NOT MATTER what heat source you use. For serious, professional chefs it might matter sure, esp in restaurants where food has to be prepared really fast. But at home? Sorry, no, a gas stove is NOT going to turn you into a Barefoot Contessa or Wolfgang Puck.
2. Why oh why do people think it's OK to post u/s pics of their unborn kids showing what's between their legs and announcing the sex??? You'd never do that with a kid on the outside!! I just saw a girl I know post on FB a shot of her unborn daughter's 'hamburger' announcing 'It's a girl'. No, just no! This poor girl will forever have her vag documented on the internet, and she's not even born yet!
I do have to add that I'm not skinny skinny, but I eventually caved to the fashion trend and own a few pairs. I'll wear them, but only with a longer shirt covering my hips!
Re: UO Thursday
I have nothing to do at work today.
I think I will stab my eyes if it's about food, maternity clothes or anything about smells.
