I am 38 weeks today and just heard that fresh pineapple can help induce labor. (I actually found A LOT of people said this worked for them!) I have been 2cm for the past couple of weeks and just wanted to give this a try

Anyone else trying this or tried this in the past? Did it work for you?

Re: Eating fresh pineapple to help induce labor?
ETA: OP, baby will come when it is ready.
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
Edit- I hope this is not true or I can testify it isn't since I just chowed down a bunch of fresh pineapple over the weekend and I'm still hauling around this watermelon.

I just had to explain to several coworkers why I was laughing out loud at my desk...they didn't think this was as amusing as I did, but then they aren't 38 weeks pregnant.
OP, if the pineapple doesn't work, try a castor oil smoothie, I hear it's a great bowel cleanser as well, so you won't poop on the table when you push the baby out

But the only thing that happened is that I got dizzy...
This theory could work but I have so many questions now.
Should I use slices or will the chunks do? Or what about a puree? What if it isn't super ripe? Does it need to be cored. Do I rinse after rubbing it on or just leave it?
It sounds like maybe I'll be ok because I'm not rubbing it on my skin or sticking it up my hoo-ha.

I've been shoving the whole thing up my hoo-ha 3x a day since I hit 37 weeks. No signs of labor yet but it's only been 2 days.
I'm still new at this but I'll share what i've learned so far: Put it in top down. Also, never put it in sideways.
***********,I let out a loud audible laugh in the cube farm at this!

@MrsPrice519 you are very welcome to stay here. It's a fun board. Yup, we do get giggles out of funny posts like this but feel free to play along.
To be fair, if a bunch of pregnant women close to their due date shaved their left eyebrows chances are good a lot of them would go into labor pretty quicly too. Because they're close to their due date! So if pineapple 'worked' for a lot of your friends it might just be because they were ready to give birth.
Living dangerously I see. Baby will probably shoot out of you like nobody's business.
Oh how we needed a fun thread.

I didnt even consider the hoo ha. Dang.I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
My autocorrect tried to change that to "smoke a little." That might also help.
