And....my supply is pretty much gone, and my boobs are floppy. Am I too old for a boob job?
Never too old!!! I told DH I want a lift. He said ok!

I think if I knew how much it would cost I'd never go through with it! When playboy calls me to be on the cover then maybe, but it have a feeling that's not gonna happen.

This is my first so maybe I am imagining it or it is coincidence then. Time will tell I guess.
  • When she pulls off the breast, turns her head to the side, and snuggles up like there's no better place in the world to sleep... <3<3<3</p>

This. Makes it all worth it.

  • Cooooooool. My skin has broken out into a hivey-rash thanks to the hay that was laid down in our community garden by the city on Saturday (I gardened on Sunday). To stop it from spreading more on my skin (not catchable by the LO, thank goodness) and stop the itching that's making me sleep EVEN LESS than I already am, I've been given a steroid to take which I'm scared will mess my supply up.

    I can't win.

  • Thanks @celticlullaby Luckily we have people bringing us dinner every day this week so that's one less issue to worry about. Hubster worked from home today and it's been rough because he's been really sheepish with his tail between his legs. I thought me going to the doctor to get my rash figured out was going to undo him again but luckily it didn't.

I'm hoping that we work together in a couple's counseling environment in addition to him seeing a counselor.

I haven't talked to anyone about this yet really. His mom knows what happened last night and she talked us both down but she's in California and we're in Kentucky so while she's a great phone call, that's about where her capacity to help us maxes out.

I do have plans for hanging out with friends next week though and I'm really looking forward to that.

  • Thanks ladies. I think I'm going to take him up on it tonight. He has a funky schedule so this would be the one night he'd be able to help at night for almost a week. I just can't understand how she can sleep during the day for longer stretches but barely make it two hours at night.

I was able to pump almost two oz over several times today and hopefully I can get a little more so he won't have to give her the formula.
  • We do 1 feeding at night where DH gives a BF pumped bottle while I get up to pump (so my boobs don't explode). Pumping doesn't take long, so I can head back to bed as soon as I'm done and DH takes care of the rest. Works really well for us!!

@ImnAtari‌ how do you like the EASY method? I am thinking about encouraging it but LO still doesn't always like to be awake after eating. What is your favorite resource?

Not @imnatari, but we just started EASY with Owen. It worked really well to get DS1 on somewhat of a schedule. Owen also skips a few awake times. If he's really sleepy, then I let him sleep, but I always try to talk to him or stimulate somehow first. I started doing all diaper changes after feeding too.
  • FINALLY! I got my pump in the mail! Insurance dicked me around for several weeks. I'm no longer anchored to my baby! \:D/

I would happy dance gif if I wasn't mobile. Just imagine a super amazing gif here.

  • Has anyone used the nuva ring? I'm thinking about it. What wS your opinion of it if you've used it?
  • I don't remember how old she was when it happened, but there was a time where I definitely could tell the difference between DD's cries. I'm pretty sure she was at least a couple months old though, not newborn stage.

  • Has anyone used the nuva ring? I'm thinking about it. What wS your opinion of it if you've used it?

I hated it. It would fall out while DTD.
That's what I thought when I heard about it!
  • Has anyone used the nuva ring? I'm thinking about it. What wS your opinion of it if you've used it?

I loved mine for about a year. After that, hormonal birth control seems to have weird side effects on me, which is why over the years I switched from pill to patch to ring to different pill. The ring was my favorite since you could pretty much forget about it.
  • @KendraColeslaw‌ our insurance was a turd about our pump too! DH had to call customer service about a million times and be angry papa bear to get it.
  • Why does my bastard of a dog only bark when LO is on the boob? Same with DH and his sneezes. Scared baby biting nipple is not pleasant!!!

My DH invited a bunch (like, 7) people over for dinner 2 days from now. And they're people who I don't know really well so I will feel obligated to clean the house and cook a nice meal. WTF. DH doesn't get it and keeps saying, "they don't care what the house looks like!" Dammit! I have a baby attached to my boob constantly, and you're gone for 10+ hrs/day (most days, 13+). Thanks for leaving me to do all the prep by myself. Jackwagon!

DH (sometimes the D is for dickhead) loves waking the princess up, I get he was away from her all day but I get so stabby when he does it.

This.. Some days I'm just getting him to nap and DH comes home an wants to play. Now I just tell him, you wake him you're responsible for him I'm going to take a bath! Lol

I keep getting all the notifications for the Baby Smiles thread. WTF Bump, leave me alone!

ETA: I just double checked to make sure I didn't start the thread. Sometimes I Bump in the middle of the night, so who knows.

It gave me heavy discharge... But after pregancy it may not seem like a lot!

  • I've dealt with bodily fluids from baby and dog all day today....needless to say, I feel gross. DH is home for two hours before he has to be at a meeting at church, half that time has been spend in his office preparing for the meeting. He wont be home until late tonight.

@pineconey Yup. Josie and Asher are pretty close in age and Josie hit new levels of pitch/ferocity in her screams last night. DH lost it. He reacts to her screams more than I do. They only seem to really get to me when I'm trying to nurse.

So glad I can finally pregame these family gatherings again!
DS finally fell asleep (this is usually the time period every day that he's an absolute terror) so maybe he will behave for dinner. He fell asleep on my bed though and I'm scared to move him!! Sleep, baby, sleep!

  • Thinking of going back to work and leaving LO makes me so sad that it hurts.

    Same.
  • Thinking of going back to work and leaving LO makes me so sad that it hurts.

Me too. I scheduled a couple daycare visits for Friday so I can pick a place soon and it broke my heart to even think about it.

@MrsStanton87‌ did you try more than one brand? C will only take Soothies and Avent. He wants nothing to do with Nuk or Mam.

This. Mine both hate Soothies, but love Avent.
  • How's your PP pain, ladies?

    I'm 5 weeks PP, had a 4th degree tear, and am mostly okay except when I'm walking slowly or standing still. Then, there's kind of a burning, stretching pain and a feeling of pressure, like everything south of the bottom of my rib cage still wants to fall out. Just wanting to know if others are experiencing the same, or if I should bring it up as a major concern at my 6 week appointment on the 23rd. x.x;;

  • I'm so relieved to read that others give the paci (or woober in my household) early. I give Merri one when she's in her fussy period (now) and is having a hard time with her night poop. Has worked like a charm the past two nights and there's no nipple confusion. What does nipple confusion behavior look like anyway?

  • @MrsStanton87‌ I'm glad you found a pacifier that works for you. Finding one that DS will take has made life a lot easier around here.
