@tallash J has baby acne right now and a plugged tear duct. I've been putting breast milk on his eyes a couple of times a day and it's helping but the acne the pediatrician told us we'll just have to wait out.
Okay, her temp is 99.1 I have no idea whats normal for an infant. Put in a call to the pedi to see how much tylenol i can give her..if any.
We were told anything less than 100*F wasn't worrisome but I have been known to give him Tylenol if he's 99 and fussing and acting like he doesn't feel good.
I love it... I used to always go to a party for it but not this year, I am still in pajama type clothing doing house work while listening to it. Oh and I am not drinking...
My how the times have changed
This is how I feel about the Bruins playoffs. Usually I'm going to friends houses for all the games and having beers. This night last year we were at a bar in Boston. Today I held Isla the whole game on the couch.
Guys. PSA real quick dosage for Tylenol is done by weight not age. 2.5 might not be appropriate for made let's baby but maybe for mine. This guideline changed a few years ago. I have a chart I can take a snap of when I get home.
That would be wonderful! She's still warm but not as irritable!
I'm almost 300 posts behind... Yay MOTN reading material for later! For now, I'm gonna bitch, since MH is just going to get pissy and defensive when I talk to him about it later.
I have a legitimate reason to not want his mom to watch LO at her house anymore. She came home smelling like cigarette smoke and shitty perfume. I haven't smoked since four months before my BFP, and have worked hard to make sure she has had as little exposure to even the smell trapped in smokers' clothing.
I am ticked. She was breathing in all that shit for hours. One time isn't going to cause her problems, just make mom mad. Grrrrrrrrr. The smell is all over her clothes, everything in the diaper bag, her car seat, and her favorite blankie. >:(

Yeah, I'd be pissed at that too. That'd be a deal-breaker for me.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me. You made my wedding day complete.
@AnonymousMotherOfOne I'm sorry. I totally understand. H was supposed to stop smoking before the baby was born. Then the baby came early. Now there is "too much stress." He only smokes outside. But it still drives me bat shit crazy that he has smoke on his clothes etc when he handles the baby I hope your h listens and understands where you're coming from!
I brought it up by saying that LO needed a bath because she smelled bad, and my sister and mom were on their way over to participate in bath time. He instantly jumped to his mom's defense, saying "My mom did not smoke around her or while she was over there so it had to have just been a lingering smell."
Screw text messaging. Fucks all the shit up.
ETA: I don't even know wtf my phone was doing there, man. >_>
My baby is a unicorn. Seriously, not only is she gorgeous (duh), but people are constantly awestruck by how good she is. We were at a restaurant for 3 hours today for a party and she never made a peep except to coo at me. Came home and took a 4 hour nap, woke up to eat, bathe and hang out for about 30 minutes and now she's down for the night.
My nephew is 4 weeks younger and was here tonight for about 3 hours. He fussed the entire time except when he was on the boob. I'm so thankful for my unicorn!

Why do people whistle at my baby? He's not a dog. In fact, whistling doesn't even work on my dogs!
Today my husband whistled at the baby trying to get her to look at him. The only one who reacted was the dog! ....I guess this means my husband is the type to whistle at baby's.

I think you just made me hate you...just a little bit
Actually, LO is pretty good when we're out. Its the time at home that's the problem.

I think it's third baby syndrome... Bea is also a dream baby. I just know I'm going to jinx it by saying anything, but she's amazing. I can't get enough of her.
You mean I have to have TWO MORE to get a unicorn?

Oh, also. Massively forceful letdown, and I didn't have a burp cloth handy for the first feeding this morning. There's a HUGE spot on my bed where the milk sprayed. I should have taken a picture of LO's face. She was not amused, and it was hilarious.
As you all know I'm obsessive about my milk (@bunnyfungo shield your eyes!!!)
My current counts!!!
18 more oz and I stored 100 in a week! (I was 399 the day before going back to work)
If I keep this up I'll be able to stop pumping as much before 6 months!!
DH told me he has plans for Mother's Day. Which is fine with me because I really want to be home for my first Mother's Day. I tried to coordinate dinner with my mom and sister for Saturday, but my sister works and wouldn't be able to eat til 6 or 7 and it's an hour and a half drive for me to get to them. So I was thinking if just going to dinner with mom Saturday earlier and my sister can do something with her Sunday. My mom called me and totally tried to guilt trip me!! She really said "I'm just a mom, it's no big deal." She was half kidding, but she's so passive aggressive it makes me crazy. So I told her not to guilt trip me and reminded her I'm a mom now too and that I'm trying to coordinate things to make everyone happy.
I'm pretty sure my mom hates the new no nonsense, not passive aggressive me that has emerged since becoming a mom.
Fuck. I broke out my frozen cookies.. And now everything hurts and we are out and about.
*wimper*
I don't know what this means
Lactation cookies that I put extra yeast in. I wanted cookies and didn't want to make any so I thought no big deal. Then DH wanted to go shopping.. Soooooo.
@WisconsinCheese12 I got our wubanub on amazon for pretty cheap plus they have a lot more selection if you are picky about which animal.
Also my sil who is a NICU nurse told me with baby acne you can put aquaphor on it and it should subside. If anyone is having cradle cap issues she said olive oil is the best solution for that as well.
