does not equal the smell of a new baby!  If you have ever smelled it you should know.  I have delievered a couple handful's of babys and the fluid smells of nastyness. Not baby.

The fluid itself has a vaguely sweet smell. Otherwise, it doesnt smell like anything. If it smells "nasty", then there was probably meconium in there or something...

do y'all read the Dear Gherkin blog?  She wrote something funny in there about the smell of amniotic fluid.  Apparently her birthing coach said it smelled like boobs or something.

All of the fluid I have smelled smells like sex.  That has been rotting for 9 months.  But then again I deliever on the ambulance in emergency situations.
