I received a crib sheet and blanket from PBK for my shower that were not at all my style. I looked them up online and saw I could get $40 for them so I figured it was worth trying to return. The lady at the store was giving me a hard time because I didn't have receipts or a registry and took forever to figure out whether I could return them. She goes to speak with her manager, comes back and says that she can give me store credit in the form of a gift card. Great! She then hands me the gift card and its for over $100! I don't know how she calculated that value but I'll take it!
I can't decide what I want to drink first after I have the baby. I am going right past wine to the good stuff. Margarita? Martini? Sangria? All of the above????
I told DH last night that I am packing a bottle of my favorite champagne in my hospital bag. I don't think he believed me, but I am totes serious.

I'm not sure my husband believed me when I said I'm going to bring my bottle of tequila I didn't get the chance to open before I got knocked up. I too am very serious about this.
@lest12, @katekat8721, @krystaj, @adreamcometrue2011: Thanks so much for your responses! (and yay to my wedding twin!) I talked to DH about I think we're going to start by trying it out with her asleep in the bassinet in our room and play it by ear from there in case it's weird.
@CJnKR2014 My suggestion would be lambrusco! I like Riunite but any brand will do.
My AW/SS moment is from this morning. I came into work today and one of my coworkers - a woman I don't work with directly but see pretty often around the halls and we've chatted a few times - stopped at my desk to give me a present! I opened it up and it was a CD of lullabies she used to play for her son when he was a baby and a GC to BRU! Totally unexpected and thoughtful. I went over to her desk to thank her, and as I'm telling her thank you she tells me she is a psychic medium and that I have a ton of positive energy around me, that I have touched her life and the lives of others without knowing it, and that our paths have crossed for a reason, and then she started getting choked up and started to cry because it made her so emotional. I have never had an experience like that before in my life! I didn't really know what to say other than to thank her but what a weird/wonderful start to my day!
Someone just told me about a cloth diaper store 20 minutes from our house. DH and I are going today to peruse the selection and to sign up for their free info class. I'm super excited! I was also hoping my Bump crush @chickpea912 would read this and be proud of me... ">
I just went to the dollar tree and bought a whole bunch of "potty prizes" and made a rewards chart for potty training with different squares highlighted so every time DD gets a sticker in the highlighted square she gets to pick out a prize. I'm way too excited about this potty training thing. lol.
I just added it to my registry, but it doesn't fall into Amazon's "certain baby items", so the completion discount wouldn't work for it anyway. ::moves blanket to other wish list:: Dammit.
You can force Amazon by changing the category of the item... I've done this a few times Edit: I realized after posting that you know way more about this than I did... didn't even realize there was a limit to the kinds of things you get a completion coupon for!
@nutmegs8 Maybe start hinting to hubby about how awesome of a mother's day gift that would be. I mean he gets a baby for Father's Day, the least you could have is just a little blanket lol
@katekat8721 I am going to spring for the mamaroo. It just seems too cool!
Haha, the coolness factor is one of the reasons it's on my "I Want!" list too! Plus, I think it has a better resale value than the other swings. Here on CL and FB groups I'll see a practically brand new FP swing going for $50-$75 (new $150). The mamaroos seem to hold their value better.

I noticed that too. I was going to buy one used but for $50 more, I would rather buy new and resell later.
Is this weird to anyone else? DH's old roommate is getting married next month. I literally only know the bride through him. We've never really hung out, but see each other when invited to couples' events/parties with the guys. I have so far been included in both the shower and bachelorette invites. We're trying to figure out the rest of our month as far as weekends and the 8 months pregnant lady being left alone with the 2 year old, so we wanted to know when the bachelor shindig was. I message the MOH, who's husband is the best man, and asked if DH was invited and when it was if he was (presumptuous, but one would assume if I was included in the girly stuff, DH would be included in the guy stuff, right?). Apparently it's next weekend, her DH is a "bad planner" and "does your DH want to be included?". I now feel like I just invited DH to a party that he wasn't invited to, and wasn't mine to invite...awkward! But why the hell would she include me and he not include DH? Doesn't make any sense.
I just feel weird because I brought up not to invite yourself over to someone else's house, and I feel like I just did that on DH's behalf. Weird, though, right?
DH just put an offer in on a piece of land that is extremely beautiful and perfect for our future plans Our families have no idea that we are planning on settling here (9 hours away) but we love it here. Fingers crossed!
Baby is still breech we are meeting with the OB who works with our midwives to discuss version but if it doesn't work, we are scheduling a c- section for 5 weeks from now
@Rachel5130 my midwife has done 2 extra ultrasounds but just used the little in-room machine and we didn't get to see :-/ I'm just going to try all the things I can and try not to stress.
@elsa1688, I know a few people whose babies didn't flip until like 38 weeks, so you still have some time. I'm curious though why they would schedule the c-section early just because of breech position? (not that it's that early, but still) Could you ask that they wait until the full 40 weeks to give your LO more time to turn? Also, could you ask for an u/s right before the scheduled c-section and be given the option to cancel if it turns out they flipped?
@lola4411- may I ask what the name is? I totally understand if you don't want to tell us considering the circumstances. I am naming my son Murphy and I would freak out if my best friend decided to name her kid that too. The whole situation is just weird and so wrong!
graham
That's my MILs maiden name. It was totally on the list if we were having a boy!
@PressLove it's not scheduled, the office/ hospital just has a policy that they perform scheduled c-sections for breech at 39 weeks. It's more of a heads up at this point. Also, if we go in and he has flipped, they will cancel and wait for natural labor. The midwife was more giving us an idea of what will happen - version consult at 35 weeks, version (if we opt in) at 36-37 weeks, all else fails- c-section at 39 weeks

Had my growth sono yesterday, baby girl is 5lbs 11oz ( but not big enough for them to warrant scheduling an induction)
Her cheeks are looking pretty chubby tho
