"Grandma we learned if we don't have anything nice to say we don't say anything at all, right Robbie?" to which he always replies Right. Shuts MIL right up
It may not stop the comments but it at least makes it easier to take in.
This. Sometimes some sarcastic passive aggressive approach is the best choice
Brooklyn has been napping for almost 2 hours on my chest while we snuggle on the couch. As frustrating as it is that I can never get anything done during the day, I just keep trying to remember that this too shall pass and she will only be this little once.
My incision burns like fire today + LO only wants to nap in my arms = camped out on the couch. I have laundry that needs to be switched, a half unloaded dishwasher, and I kinda sorta haft pee. But I also had to remind myself that a cute happy cuddly baby won't last forever
I had a huge, potentially dangerous mom-fail today. I took all 3 kids out for errands and such today, getting in and out with the stroller and mountain of stuff a few times. We drive home and just as we're about to pull in the driveway DS1 tells me he's not buckled in. Guess I know what I'll be triple-checking every time we get in the car .
Our nurse today let us sneak Bea into the recovery room. They gave my 3 yo several doses of narcotics to help with the pain, but holding her baby sis is what finally got her to call down. it was sweet.
Today was a rough day back at work. M is having a hard time latching, especially at night, and I think it's due to nipple confusion now that she takes a bottle while I'm at work. I've cried most of the day, and just when I calmed down, I go to pump again and find that my bag from this morning sprung a leak and I lost 3oz of pumped milk.
Is it 5pm yet!? I just want to cuddle my baby and snuggle my Hubs!
I was pumping today and I had to help a crying baby who dropped her paci. I spilled some milk on the couch. I think the couch is fine, but I'm sad about spilled milk
Feeding constantly today because she is in refusal of a normal necessary length nap.... So she eats until she falls asleep which is usually about a 15-20 minute nap-ish... Then smiles/stares/sits quietly for about 20 minutes then wants to eat again. Gah!
I feel like this is not your first post that mirrors exactly what I'm going through at the same time!

This is me today too, except it is 5-8 minutes nursing, 5-8 minutes awake, 10 minute nap. Over and over again. I can't do anything in that 10 minutes! Gah!
Finally I just have A an early bath in hopes that it soothes him and he can sleep a little longer. Usually we do bath before bed on the bath days, so I hope I don't pay for it later.

This is Owen today too. Hope you get a longer stretch of sleep soon!
Only until she starts sucking and playing with them! So i say we have like two/three months of cute baby toes right?
Tiny toes+ticklish sleeping baby=not perfect but still cute. I chose a light pink cuz I knew it would be hard. Her toe nails are super small!
Omigosh. I want to paint baby toe nails.
To make you want to it more!
I totally showed this to DH today on FB... first thing he said was "I know you have blue nail polish, so don't even begin getting any ideas" and just like that it got shut down
My husband was like "what the crap did you do to her toes?!"
When Isla was 5 days old, she got this really cute freckle on the tip of her nose. I loved it! I thought she would probably hate it when she's older, but it was so cute. At 3 weeks, it went away. How does a freckle go away? I'm sad about this. I'm including a picture of her adorable freckle as proof.
I can't get that awful a Good Morning song out of my head... The one in those McDonald commercials where they surprise strangers with breakfast deliveries.... AH!
@LW78 you are an awesome wife!! I was 2 weeks pp for DH's birthday and recovering from a c section. So I was all "I made you this baby" ... No card, or anything.
Vent: DHs cousin had her baby 3 days before the twins but at 40+ weeks. The twins were born at 30 weeks 6 days.
DH and I went to his parents a month ago. We left the kids with them and had a date night. We got tagged in a picture on FB of the baby born 3 days before the twins with the twins around him. Needless to say, he's much bigger!! Everyone commenting on the picture was shocked. I commented saying there may only be 3 days but they have an adjusted age. DHs aunt just didn't get it and kept saying January 1st to the 4th is 3 days. I politely explained how her grandson had 10 weeks develop in utero extra and how the twins had an adjusted age due to this. Later that night I realized the picture was deleted!! I was nice about everything but just was trying to help them understand.
Tonight I realized DHs aunt deleted us on FB! Her younger daughter is having her baby shower this weekend and I'm going. It may get awkward!
Incredibly random thought popped in my head just now - when an M14 mama gives creepy/awkward internet stranger hugs - I don't find it creepy or awkward. I'd much rather get one of those than one from my MIL...
In an attempt to get this damn crackhead to quit coming to our house, I'm going to mow our lawn myself today. Our yard is ridiculously hilly, and this will be the first time I've mowed it since summer '12.... Wish me luck lol
Ps I'm taking the baby to the sitter just to mow because it's gonna take a couple hours
Does anyone have any recommendations for movies that are on Netflix?
@bjd316 We just watched a movie on Netflix called End of Watch. One of the best movies I've ever seen. And I am VERY hard to please when it comes to movies. I think 98% of them these days are stupid as hell. This movie was good!

@lnvane00 I want top watch this movie bit my husband is police officer and I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. On that note, he's seen it and said it was really good so perhaps I'll just give it a shot.
Oh gosh. It is good but I could see why it would be hard to watch it then.

I've started changing Pharrells "Happy" to "Gassy", and the lyrics all revolve around farting. Makes me giggle.

That sounds like something my H would come up with.
ETA: lately my quote blocks have been messing up and it's really starting to piss me off.
