  • I feel like Charlie's hardly eaten today, and he's been sleeping more than usual. I'm not usually one to worry but it's freaking me out.

I'm having the opposite problem. He's sleeping less and eating more "/ I pumped before I left work and it was bad timing because by the time I got him he was starving and it had only been an hour since I pumped. He usually only eats from one side but I had to give him both sides at multiple feeds and he was cluster feeding so it was like my boobs couldn't get caught up. Finally, I had DH give him a bottle and I just pumped one side so the other side could rest up for the next feed. Baby ate 4 oz, mommy pumped 2 "/
My DH (who supported me all through pregnancy by joking that I'd have a c section) keeps asking (sometimes seriously sometimes joking) if I'm drying up :( I don't think I've fully rehydrated and recovered from mowing our yard yesterday and I kind of feel like AF might be coming soon so I'm hoping those things are playing a role and my supply will bump back up.
  • @futuremrsspriggs‌ no i totally come here first.

@CHPhotoMama‌ i am so sorry you are feeling this way. Maybe you can go for a day trip somewhere with sophie?

  • @CHPhotoMama‌ Hugs! I second trying to take a trip for a day to get away. I might be heading up north to the cabin to meet up with my mom and dad while DH is at work to get away from the crazy. Good thinking on the blocking from seeing pictures. It's the little victories :)

@proudmommy030614 have you considered an IUD instead? My dr tried to talk me into it instead of the tubal but I really am finished and don't want to deal with this again in 10 years. You can do it with hormones or without. Anywho, might be a better option for you if you are uncertain about burning those tubes.

Yeah I had a mirena for 7 years (didn't want to part with it!) when I had it taken out that was when this LO appeared. I am back and forth about having another one again because realistically 3 kids is plenty.
  • Thanks @Jennibeanjld‌ I just talked to DH about it and he understands why I'm upset and we talked about how to approach it with her. :) I hope it will stop after this, but I wont be surprised if it doesnt. She has been incredibly overbearing since the day she found out I was pregnant.

  • Does anyone else's LO scream bloody murder during bath time and getting their diaper changed? I feel like my son is always so grumpy :( he's fussy a lot because of gas and I try everything to help him. I feel like he hates me being his mom. Im sure that sounds stupid but I wish he just looked more happy.. thats weird to wish a 5 week old baby to do but I feel like he's unhappy all the time :( and he's still not smiling regularly and when he does give a smirk its only at daddy...

  • @Invane00 Emma still cries when she gets her diaper changed and she is 8 weeks.  She is grumpy a lot lately.  We were getting smiles a lot last week, but she has been real crabby this week :(

  • @lnvane00‌ hugs. It gets better. My LO has always loved baths but hates getting out, diaper changes, and clothing changes. He still screams during those times, but I felt like he hated me sometimes early on. Also, mine just started social smiling at about 9-10 weeks, and still smiles more for daddy than me. But it's soooo cute!!
  • I want to add to my "eating more, sleeping less" comment. Even though he ate FOUR ounces two hours ago, LO just woke up going crazy after only sleeping 45 minutes because he was hungry. Someone shoot me. I have to work 12 hours tomorrow so I really need him to sleep tonight.
  • I feel like Charlie's hardly eaten today, and he's been sleeping more than usual. I'm not usually one to worry but it's freaking me out.

Yep, same here. He had moved to shorter stretches for the last week - and all of a sudden last night he stretched back out to 3-4 hrs between feedings. And for his last bottle, I though he would take 4oz, and he only took 2 before falling back asleep.

I hate the uncertainty when everything changes so often.

  • Okay, so three things.

    1. I feel pretty amazing after that workout. Note to self: get a better sports bra. Boobies did not like jogging.

    2. Kinda pissed at DH. He let creepo roommate hold LO because she was crying and he can't deal, apparently, even though I was just in the kitchen and could have taken her. When I got home from taking my BFF home, I walked in to find him passed out, and LO sitting unsecured in her swing, sleeping. I have no issue with her sleeping in the swing. Just not while he is asleep and definitely not without being strapped in!!!

    3. Creepo roommate is mad because I don't want her babysitting, when I have plenty of family nearby willing to watch her that don't creep me right the eff out. I do not care. She will never babysit, if I have anything to say about it.

Aaand its technically Saturday now, but my FFFC is that I am too tired to shower after my workout, and driving BFF home, and cooking dinner. LO may taste a hint of sweat when she wakes up for her 1/2 a.m. feeding.

My son screams like hell during diaper changes and baths. Why won't he realize having a clean bum and soaking in warm water like a spa are GOOD things?? lol
  • Dh is impossible today, he thinks he knows all about baby apparently. He acts clueless... And then he acts like he knows everything about everything.

Baby hungry... I know becasue I see her cues all day everyday he says no. He takes her and walks around with her.

He had her pacifier in her mouth the whole time, but she wasn't crying.

5 min later he says I knows she's hungry but I want to wait so she goes to sleep after. So I am bumping and doing other stuff since he doesn't want her to eat now

10 min later, "you don't need to be on the bump, feed her NOW."
    Uhm wtf.
Then followed by "are you going to write that on the bump?"

2 min later "ok never mind, don't write it on there" he's so afraid of what you guys think of him it's hilarious.

    I haven't said a word to him.

Ha! DH always wants to know if I'm going to post things on the Bump.

  • I'm having an emotional breakdown tonight. Sophie won't sleep, I can't sleep, and I can't stop crying.

The question is, am I depressed because I've reached a breaking point with BSCMIL and my DH is being a butthead? Or have I reached a breaking point with BSCMIL and I think DH is being a butthead because I'm depressed?

I don't think I'm depressed. I think it's the first one. I need an effing vacation. Not from my baby. She's coming with me. I'm leaving the rest of these as*holes here.

I can't tell you what you're feeling, but I think it's the first one. Your MIL has been BSC this whole time, and there has to be a breaking point. A vacation with the baby sounds good. Maybe a day trip somewhere.

DD went through a phase where she cried (or screamed) every time she had her diaper changed. Luckily that passed. She does however cry every time we change her clothes. She wants her arms curled up, and she hates straightening them to put through sleeves.

Soon he will be smiling more. I'm sure he's very happy that your his mom, he just can't tell you yet.

  • I don't know why my post didn't go through last night, but whatever...

I'm pumping right now, after feeding LO for about five minutes and her immediately falling asleep again. She STTN for the first time ever! 0.0 WHO IS THIS CHILD?!

Anyway, first workout went amazing. Just need better sports bras. Boobies do not like jogging.

Kinda ticked at H again. When I got home last night, he was passed out, with LO in her swing, no straps, also passed out. I don't care if she sleeps in it. I just hate that he couldn't be bothered to stay awake for an extra 30 minutes while I took my BFF home, and came back, or even to at least strap LO into the swing! ):<

Overall, a pretty decent evening, though. We'll see how it goes with me getting back to the gym tonight. XD

  • I just tried to give Brooklyn gripe water because she's so uncomfortable. It resulted in her projectile throwing up everything she's eaten this morning (along with probably her Zantac and probiotic). Now she's even more uncomfortable (and has the hiccups) and I'm rocking her crying because I feel like the worst mom in the world. I'm never ever giving her that shit again.

  • @AnonymousMotherOfOne im pretty sure your post went through, I remember already reading about your work out and about needing new bras... Idk where I read it maybe in random.

    ::special snowflake dance of shame::

    Being the only one who wakes up with Mia every night must be getting to me. I need sleep. -_-;;

  • @tallash i am so sorry you have had a rough week! Hope your plumbing gets fixed cheaply and your babies start feeling better!

@AriaAmante143‌ i'm sorry she's feeling bad. I guess our babies are in sync. Mia was so gassy last night i gave her gas drops last night.
Spit up her zantac/bottle/and meds as well. I hope your LO feels better!

I have no idea about the printer. In theory i'm sure every printer has a memory that you can somehow get to.
I would google it to see if you can reset it somehow if its true!

  • @TallAsh‌ I'm sorry! :( I hope your three year old feels better soon! And that the plumbing is an easy and inexpensive fix.

@AriaAmante143‌ oh no! That's terrible. I haven't had anything but good results with gripe water. You're not a bad mom! You were only trying to help.

How much do you give LO? I gave her HALF the recommended dosage, and that's what happened. 5 mls seems like a lot to give her.

My in laws came into town last night to meet the baby. I woke up this morning to MIL vacuuming my house. I could get used to this.

@TallAsh I hope the plumber can fix it cheaply. Being without functional plumbing is the worst!

@AriaAmante143 I occasionally use simethicone (same stuff as Gas-X) when J is particularly gassy. He likes the taste and it's never caused an issue. Might be worth a try if you're unhappy with gripe water.

  • @TallAsh‌ that sounds terrible! I hope the plumber gets it fixed quickly and on the cheap!

@AnonymousMotherOfOne‌ I'm glad the work out went well. I finally got cleared to start again yesterday.

@karacakes98‌ I hate the island dump so much!!! I wish I didn't need the storage because I would get rid of the island just so DH couldn't leave stuff all over it.

@Laura8388‌ was it you that mentioned the gripe water helping with hiccups? I thought I saw someone on here say it did for them.

I use the baby version of gas-x drops before most feedings and I've noticed far less hiccups, and more importantly he's less fussy after each meal (especially at night)

  • I think it was @Laura8388‌ who used gripe for the hickeys
She said she just dipped the paci in it

I took this advice and it has worked for me and it also helped so that Fallyn didn't choke on the gripe water
    :)
  • @karacakes98‌ I am venting with you. I hate that.
