B fell asleep in her swing an hour ago. I feel like a bad mom letting her sleep in it, but I'm sitting right next to her in the couch reading a book, and this is the first real nap she's taken in days.
Mia slept in it for two hours last night...i got two hours of not holding baby sleep. I am not ashamed.
My poor baby has had a rough day, by her standards. Papa changed her diaper wrong so she had poop all over herself; then she was practicing lifting her head all by herself and then unexpectedly dropped her face into Mama's chest. She's been fussy, and won't sleep unless I'm holding her, and sometimes she won't even sleep then. I've got her in the crook of my arm right now, snuggled up to my boob and her paci in her mouth. Oh. And did I mention she keeps acting like she's having nightmares when I put her down to sleep? Poor baby.
I swear every day I keep thinking LO is going through a growth spurt but then goes back to his usual routine... NOW he has suddenly decided to eat for 25+ min on just one side every 2-2.5 hours. Normally he eats for 15-20 on one side then 5-8 on the other. We'll see if this new timing (which sucks btw...) keeps up!
@bunnyfungo I'm sorry. Praying for dd1 to get well soon and for the rest of you to stay healthy!
@Blonderedhead781 when J got his shots I put on my bathing suit (because my mom was hovering) and got in the tub with him and let him kick his little legs and soak. It sounds like he wasn't as miserable as your LO to start with, but the bath helped.
We're trying to transition J to the crib. Last night he did his first stretch in it and went six whole hours.
Today he fell asleep on me and I went to put him in it, and as soon as his head touched the mattress he started screaming like I set him on fire or something. There wasn't even a whimper, just dead asleep to screaming. I don't know what is up with him the last few days. It's like as soon as we get a handle on things he hits the reset button.
@mrsdahamm We just spent 45 mins in the tub! She was in her baby tub though. I haven't taken a bath with her yet. I've thought about trying it though. She loves the water and it has seemed to help. She looks a little more like my bright eyed peanut and she's calmed down.
Yay! Bath time ftw!! The hardest thing about shots (for babies and adults alike) is that it hurts, but the more you move and use the muscle, the better it will feel faster. And nothing is easier and more fun than splashing in the warm water
J has started giving DH a hard time when he tries to get him to sleep. He usually starts screaming bloody murder a few minutes in. When I take him he quiets right down.
This makes a tiny part of me feel good because I know he wants his mommy more than anyone.
theluckiest9 - One of our dogs did that a week ago. She has been just fine since, no idea why she threw up a few times. Hope your furry baby gets better soon!
Ugh I have to go to a remote meeting from home today. I have to train someone how to do my job since they are outsourcing it. My job description will be changing when I go back and I am not excited.
I do not want to train today! I want to hang out with my baby. My MIL is coming over to watch her, but still, this is annoying.
I put LO in the RnP in the bathroom so I could take a shower. The steam and exhaust fan noise always make her pass out, so I let her sleep in there while I got dressed. Now I'm sitting on the edge of the bed shoveling oatmeal into my face and watching her sleep. She's not moving, but all of a sudden the RnP started rocking very methodically, like someone was rocking it. It's still going.
Guise, I think there's a ghost in my bathroom. I should be scared, but apparently it wants to help take care of the baby, so I'm OK with it.

It's currently 10 am and I'm sitting here wondering at what point it's too early in the morning to continue eating my chocolate bunny...
Do it. I often have Oreos or chocolate for/with breakfast. The Oreos are convenient and lo often has Oreo crumbs on her because I'll munch while I nurse. I get the white with choc inside... Last week I had to tell dh when he got home the brown spot was not poop, haha since her poo is yellow didn't want him to freak or think I had her in dirty clothes all day little chocolate on the onesie never hurt anyone.
I eat oreos a lot too. They are convienent. I feel like I eat a lot of bars, snacks since they're easy.

Also, E slept a 6 hour stretch last night! Her usual is around 4 hours, but never longer than 5. So awesome.
I meant to get stuff to make hummus when I went grocery shopping, but I totally forgot and now your post makes me sad
