AWing my DH: he's wearing DD in the Moby, washing dishes and singing The Smiths to her. And he just popped his head into the bedroom to ask me if I wanted some tea and cake.

I was brave today and took DD to DH's office "beer hour" which is like a whole company social that they have monthly. It was so nice and everyone was losing their shit over how tiny and adorable she is (obviously I think so). DD slept through the whole thing and I enjoyed a very good local beer!

I just got back from L&D. Since I'm GBS+ and have a history of fast labor, I erred on the side of caution; only 4 cm and 90% effaced, so I decided to come home (I live 10 minutes from the hospital). The midwife thinks I'll be back tonight. . . I'm getting excited!

Currently nursing in the backseat of DH's truck in the parking lot of a somewhat shady Walmart while he runs in to get something. Total overreacting new mom thinks I'm going to get car jacked.

Dilated to a 3- very uncomfortable sweep. Doc comes again in the morning to do hourly sweeps. Pray I spontaneously go into labor tonight- I choose pain over awkward discomfort!!!

Already miserable on this trip visiting DH family. We are staying at BIL house and MIL invited herself to spend the weekend on the couch, which gives me no place to escape with LO in the middle of the night. She also brought a niece and nephew with her. Then within 5 mins of us arriving, DH sister walks in the door (uninvited) demanding help with her college math test. Seriously? I just traveled 10 hours in a van with 2 small children and 2 dogs! I just want relaxation with some peace and quiet!

I'm just sitting here staring at LO crying over how much I love her and DH decides to start playing sappy love songs. These hormones are no joke. Unless you're my DH, and then they're hilarious.

I'm glad you asked. I am only 10 days pp but even the pressure from my maternity pants is uncomfortable. Incision site is fine, but area above is so tender to the touch. I have a Drs appt on Monday and plan on bringing it up.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. Ive been on the monitor for 1.5 hrs. Was ok to start, some decelerations. Then textbook perfect, and now crazy decelerations for last 20 mins. Waiting to see what the dr says

This is not flame worthy, but just so out of character for me: I'm not a big pop drinker, but I just had 2 glasses of delicious root beer. Seriously- I eat the weirdest stuff while pregnant. Non-pregnant I would never order that! Water only with food- that's how I roll.

Hey ladies! Dylan Caden was born via c-section at 9:59pm on April 18. Thank you guys so much for all the love and encouragement. I promise to post our birth story WITH pics as soon as they allow me to sit up. He's in the nursery and I miss him so damn much.

That's how I am! Normally I stick to water (and sometimes skim milk), but this pregnancy it's all about the root beer. I do like root beer outside of pregnancy, but almost never to the point that I will choose it over water.

As for me- consistent cx about 7-8 minutes apart this evening. Really mild though so I wonder if its another false alarm. Took a benedryl to help me sleep through them.

Hopefully we will be adding a bunch more (healthy and ready) babies to the board soon!!

In L&D.... my foley bulb fell out and now contractions are about 3 min apart. The plan was to start pitocin but now it looks like my body might be able to do this on its own so they are going to hold out on the drugs which makes me very happy. Very excited I will probably have my baby girl by tomorrow!

Hey ladies! Sorry I have been (and my continue to be) AWOL! We just got discharged this afternoon and I'm still feeling pretty shitty overall, but OMG I got a baby out of the deal! And that sharp back pain? Totally gone. My back muscles in general are a little tender especially around the site where they did the spinal, but my doctor said everything went wonderful and is healing so much faster than anticipated. James is perfect and all I want to do is stare at him and snuggle all day. Unfortunately, he is soooo sleepy that I have to put him down at some point. He has this dimple in his right cheek when he yawns/smiles. I offered to give DH a break this evening, so we are doing some skin to skin in between pumping sessions. Here's my view right now...

Update on me: they have admitted me to the maternity ward, I will be having twice daily monitoring until induction, which at this point is still monday evening (its Saturday night now) so mum is in a motel down the road and DH will go home to tend the animals until something changes. Not over happy about him not being here, but he will go completely nuts sitting around a hospital for 2 days while nothing happens! I don't know how I'm going to handle that!

Feeling really awful (sick to my stomach) at the moment. Can't decide if it's 1) something I ate 2) mucus pouring straight in there 3) labor-ey.
Regardless, I would loveeee some sleep.

My son had projectile vomiting. Our dr said to limit each feed for 5 mins only and then unlatch and burp. If projectile vomit kept happening, to take him to the hospital to get checked for a block. However, he was over birth weight and having very good bowel movements regularly when this all this happened. Def call though

Hope you feel better @pineconey....or go into labor. I felt like absolute crap the 3 days leading up to labor.

Update on me: I fear my anexity is getting worse. All of a sudden I'm constantly worried something is wrong with Logan ( was never this bad with my other two). Like right now i have in my head that he could be experiencing newborn seizures and I don't know why. I Dr. Google every little thing....its close to obsession. It might be time to start talking to DH and make a plan.

Hey everyone! I have yet to post Emma's birth story, but we are now 11 days PP and i'm feeling a little better every day. It's weird going from 2 hospital visits for NST's and an OB appt once a week to nothing now! My uterus has officially been retired, and i had my last ob visit ever the other day when i had my stitches removed. Since I had a tubal, I don't need to go back to the office until december.

Little Emma is doing perfectly, she started off at 6lbs 11oz, dropped to 6.1 when we were discharged and was back to 6.5 as of Monday. She is my first that didn't have to spend extra time in the hospital for jaundice, once my milk came in she realized what I was trying to get her to latch on and now she's a champion.

Enough rambling, here she is

Soda had been my vice this pregnancy.... I never drink it (love it but limit myself) but since the beginning it's been game on: root beer especially! And cherry coke....
