They have awhile before they will be posting! Lol I had a small freak out thinking about April 15 then I realized they won't be getting knocked up until July!
I'm calling it. I'm going into May.
(I may also be a wee bit in denial that I'm actually going to be a mother soon. With a child. That is mine. @-) )
I kind of felt the same way...not that I would go into may (EDDwas 4/14) but more the denial that I would soon be a mom of 3. I had this guy a week early and just about ignored all my early labor signs. My mom got to town a day earlier than planned because DH knew it was happening soon...which was best because I went into labor the next day.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
I am so tired, my house is a mess and not one thing is packed for our trip tomorrow. DH worked on a friends car all evening in the garage and G was fussy and wanted to be held all evening. By the time I went to bed, I was hunched over and crying from the physical pain of holding G all day (I have EDS, a joint genetic condition). I need to figure out a new plan. I have an ergo, but the hip part hurt my incision. The moby confuses me and the k'tan I can't find locally, I have to order it and I go on vacation tomorrow. Any other suggestions?
Sorry, @rockstarlaw, just saw this! Georis in Carmel Valley. We get their wine shipments and go every time we're in town. We've been to a lot of wineries, and this is the only one where we like everything they make, therefore it's the only wine club we've ever joined.
Perfect. Yum! I'll take a 2009 cab, a Sav Blanc & their steel-casked Chardonnay. HAHA!
We have a newish vp who is a woman. Every time I see her she asks why I am still working (due 4/30) and says I should be resting. Also she was surprised when I said I was taking 12 weeks off. She said at 12 weeks you are only finally starting to adjust and I should take more time off (she has 3 kids school age to preteen).
Lady I would love to be home cooking this baby for the last two weeks sitting on my ass. And I would also love to take longer than 12 weeks but my work provides zero paid mat leave other than disability and what sick/vacation time you have saved. You want me to rest and take more time off please put your money where your mouth is and pay me. End rant.
Am I the only one who is actually hoping to go in to May? My EDD is 4/30, so it's feasible for me...and really I'm just hoping for May 2nd because it's my dad's birthday. It would be kind of cool to give him his first grandson on his birthday...
All of this and more! I am so happy for all three of you!
Get-get-get-get those BABAAAAAYS!!!!!!!!
Update for me (40w5d): Had an ultrasound today. Baby looks good, amniotic fluid is good and placenta is still fine. Doc said I can go until the 27th and then it's induction time. I feel really at peace knowing I'll have a baby, one way or another, in ten days. I hope I get to go natural but I understand that baby will get what s/he needs.
We got measurements at the U/S and I'm really relieved to know that baby's head is less than 10 cm. I know that doesn't really mean anything but knowing it's less than 10 cm makes me way less freaked out about pushing this big old baby out of my vag.
Good luck @dani+california@deidremaria and @pineconey and anyone else I missed in my quick catch up, you're almost there!!! Can't wait to see those snuggle puffs!
Sweet geezus @ColleenSwerb, did you steal someone's boyfriend In high school or something? Someone is OBSESSED with you and they're not very good at put downs!
Dealing with comcast is frustrating any day but dealing with them and having to keep calm because of a sleeping NB is 1000x worse. So glad to be rid of them as of tomorrow!
They're keeping me guys!!! We're starting with that little pill to ripen cervix then we'll see what happens from there.
There's a new mom and baby in the room next to me. I can hear the little one crying. It's such a cute little cry. Is it weird that I'm a little scared? This shit is happening today!
I'm going to have Eggo waffles with syrup for breakfast because the talk of maple syrup. Thanks for the craving ladies.
Yep, I'm making a crap ton of pancakes for the same reason!
We're doing breakfast for dinner tonight. I'll be loading up the maple syrup (in addition to peanut butter and fruuuuuuuit). Shit. I might have to make that right now too.

YES YES YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSS! I am actually crying hormonal tears of joy for you! I am so happy for you. I'm already saying it now: We want LOTS AND LOTS of pictures!
I'm ready for baby like it's a hot date: I've had my highlights/haircut, facial and brows done, and got waxed, and got a mani/pedi. Really its for me though, to ease any post baby hormonal self esteem freak outs. Plus I wont be able to book these kind of appointments for a while when baby is new and we are getting our routine down and I'm still learning the discreet latch.
@knotty-girl I love your reasoning. I got my hair cut a week ago because I keep it really short and it grows horribly so that I look like Toad from Mario Brothers. I'm wishing I would have gotten a wax now because I already expect down there to look like a scrambled egg mess...it could at least be clean! I think if baby isn't here by Monday I'll spring for a mani/pedi.
Just got back from my regular prenatal appointment. My MW checked me and felt a little hand right at my cervix, which brought up the discussion of induction to avoid the risk of cord prolapse occurring while I'm out and about. I'm 39+5 and 3 cm dilated, so I'm a good candidate for induction, but I'd rather let things happen naturally. She checked me again to ensure my membrane was still intact and the little rascal had move its hand away and baby's head was pushing against my cervix like it's supposed to be, so I get to continue my day like normal without being faced with an induce/don't induce decision. . Phew.
So G loves being worn. Right now I'm borrowing my cousins moby but I hate it! I have an ergo but it feels to massive and bulky while at home. I want to go look at a k'tan, but any other suggestions?
@Tferr02 BRU has the Infantino Mei Tai for $35. I'm tempted to get one for myself, except I REALLY don't need another babywearing device, lol. You could also try a ring sling.
As happy as G is in the moby today and as happy as Micah is that I can actually get on the ground and play for hours, I might buy ALL the babywearing devices! I'm even cleaning, folding laundry and packing! I'll check out the Mei Tai!
ETA-that was a lot of exclamation marks. I'm just so excited to feel more like myself today.

Preach.
Glad you have day @deidremaria!!
And get outta there @pineconey baby!! Glad to hear there's some progress!
I have bad lightening crotch and don't want to get out of bed.
@dani+california I'm so glad you got the clear sign. Good luck and bring us that baby!!!
Thanks for all the love everyone. I'm about to do the NST. It's looking like they may actually induce today. I'll eke you girls updated
Very jealous we have the same edd hoping labour dust comes my way
