Question for my other prodromal sisters: my stomach is killing me. Not like BH were it gets noticeably tight, more like there is acid being poured inside my abdomen and I want to throw up. Experience with this and coping mechanisms?

So I'm one of those who hasn't taken prenatals in a while and now I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with why I'm overdue. I know I know two weeks before or after due date is always a possibility but I can't help it ya know. Is that weird?
Not weird but if its any help I have been religious about taking mine, and I'm 40 +3 with absolutely zero signs of labor - no contractions, no BH, not dilated or effaced or anything (I know those last two aren't real signs but you get the idea).
Hugs to you, don't give up hope, it WILL happen!

Not prodromal but maybe heartburn? Sometimes I get it starting below my ribcage - and it gets that I want to throw up sometimes.
Try some Tums or Zantac (is that the right stuff ladies? Don't have it here!) see if that helps. Wont hurt.

Thanks. I'm 41+1. I'm just really discouraged. I really don't wanna have to be induced but that possibility gets closer and closer everyday. I have no signs that labor is near. According to the CNM who checked me last night my cervix is softening but there is no dilation.

I tried tums, a lot of water, and tried to get out some gas (somewhat successfully) and nothing is helping. My back hurts with it but my back is always hurting these days so who knows? It seems to be concentrated above my belly button and then all the way down to the bottom of the ute. But my belly isn't getting hard.
I'm so tired of this guessing game where you're in pain no matter what the answer is.

I absolutely understand you being frustrated! I'm only a couple of days over and I'm frustrated!
Try to remember that you can go from zero to in labor in a matter of hours (or even minutes). Yes I know everyone is telling you that! Makes it even worse!
I'm with you about not wanting to be induced but we have decided to book an induction for next week because of being so rural we are taking the better to be safe than sorry approach. If something does go wrong we are 2 hrs away from the big hospital that would deal with it. I admit having a deadline has actually made me more relaxed.
Remember we are all thinking of you! And we all feel for you!

I'm here with you on this one. It's really frustrating to be like, "Oh I'm giant and pregnant and baby is obviously ready to go but there's NOT ONE GD SIGN THAT ANYTHING IS GOING TO EVER HAPPEN."
@avidkeo said it the best: Labor can happen at any time. You're in my thoughts and I hope you don't have to be induced. Don't let the stress of that get to you...or at least try not to (WAY the eff easier said than done, I know because I stress about it too). Baby will be born either way and I'm fairly certain by the time we have our LOs in our hands we won't care all that much how it happened.
Here's to lack of control and what a mind fuck it is! *Clink of our non-alcoholic beverages*
@deidremaria I did have someone suggest a half glass of red wine. Now I don't drink at all while pregnant but I can understand the reasoning behind it - at the very least may relax you! Up to you - good excuse to have a drink if you haven't had one before now!

Comcast came and we're all hooked up and back online. DH told me to go ahead and order the new Amazon fire Tv box thingy, and we finally signed up for Netflix. So we should be golden whenever 2.0 decides to maybe make an appearance. I'm 100% hoping he's late, just because it will be more convenient with the construction work we have happening starting 5/1, lol.
@avidkeo@deidremaria I've heard that too, and have definitely been more lenient with my "every now and then" wine rule in the last week. I've had a handful of glasses in the last nine months but don't think it makes a lot of difference to the baby to have a but at this late point. Esp since @wifeofacomposer told me her OB was recommending it to help her relax during all the early prodomal labor. It sends some kind of signal to the baby that you're relaxed and ready. I will be going wine tasting in Carmel this week!

Aside from going for a walk once a day (my hubs is sure I'm gonna keel over I huff and puff so much on our river walk), I have run out of things to do while waiting for something to happen. What are you girls with inside babies doing to stay sane and keep yourselves occupied while the baby hits the snooze button on labor? DH and I are bored to tears.
My DH is now traumatized by my boobs. I squeezed and the smallest little bit of white stuff came out and he freaked... Hahahaha. That'll teach him he better not do this to me again...
I'm not sure how far along you are...but here's what we've been doing:
1. Having sex
2. Picking up litter while we go on walks (Productivity AND it makes our neighborhood look better!)
3. Watching Redbox movies
4. Exploring the city (Going to free museums, parks, etc.)
5. Picnicking!
6. Playing board games
We actually have a little basket of activities so when we get super freaking bored/exacerbated/etc. we pick something out of the basket. The activities range from "cleaning the apartment for 30 minutes" to "planting an herb garden." I have more 'me' activities in the basket since I'm at home while hubster works. My individual activities include: Get a pedicure, do yoga stretches, call a friend, take a walk, clean out the fridge, write a letter, play with the cats, go out to coffee, fold laundry (because I never EVER fold it) and so forth.

That all makes a ton of sense. I don't drink (wine gives me allergic reactions) but man, if I may admit...that makes me want to smoke a little bit of the green stuff just to be uber relaxed. I know I would definitely go to jail if they found marijuana in baby's system so that -- plus the fact that I don't know what that would do to baby.

Getting very tempted to have half a glass of wine...at this point I really can't see it being a problem. Don't do the green stuff so I cant comment on that.

Haven't in well over a year myself. Now to think of other ways to relax!
Ok ladies tmi comment and question...today is my due date...I just went to the bathroom to pee...thn when I wiped I found some browned tinged discharge....um yeah....did any get this before having contractions? I don't think there is a specific order of how things can happen but now I'm curious to know what you think this might mean? I'm sure it's my body warning me of labor but how soon? Who knows? It makes me nervous and excited at the same time ...eeehhh
I wish I had a friend nearby to come get me and take me to the store for an easter candy run. My back is killing me (regular back pain) and I feel all crampy. Not motivated to go alone.
Well sweep was a complete failure. As I suspected, not dilated, not effaced, nothing at all. Sigh. I know I'm only 3 days late atm but with mum only here until next friday I am feeling the pressure to produce this baby sooner rather than later. Even if induced on Monday there are no guarantees she will be here before mum leaves.
Ahhhhhh. Frustrating.

Amen to that. I stopped working but between my mom, my dad, and DH I'm always doing somebody's damn hair. Nobody pays me.
Sorry about Logan's weight @thomas930 but great news about his bili levels!
