Aha! RTT...got it! That's awesome you're a graphic artist. That is something I have zero skill with. I have been a freelance writer for about 6 years now...but I, too, am finding that I'm less thrilled with writing copy for agencies and other clients. There's only so much excitement in writing scripts that help companies sell random shit. Since being pregnant/not really working, I'm diversifying my creative outlet. I've been quilting like crazy and have been enoying the hell out of that. It allows me to hone the small visual creative skills I have, the math and geometric skills I have and the super OCD everything needs to be perfect quirk that plagues me to good use.

Working for clients as a creative can suck because you have to water things down, or are sometimes forced to create monstrosities that you would rather not have your name attached to. Clients are experts at ruining a good idea, coming up with bad ones, and being the force that churns out the majority of mediocre garbage in the world.

It took me a while to come to terms with my creative shift, because I've always known exactly what I want to do, I'm vert decisive and self driven. And then one day I just woke up and was like, I just don't care that much about fashion anymore.

Do you watch Girls? What you said totally reminds me of Lena Dunham (Hannah) when she quits her GQ gig!

@poru‌ @ColleenSwerb‌ Was totally going through this a few short weeks ago. Absolutely maddening. I hate having to wait for others to get my shit in order. Not being able to do a lot if stuff physically is an annoying contribution to an already annoying problem.

I think I've only gone up to about halfway through Season 2 (Hoozah for sucking off my parents' Comcast so we can get HBO Go on our Apple TV). I like the show but stopped watching it for no apparent reason.

I agree that clients are absolutely PRO at making bad ideas. Freelancing as a writer sucks too because everyone thinks they can write...so my work often goes way, WAY underpaid and undervalued. My last client jipped me $500 and I'm just a wee bit jaded with these occurrences. Contracts mean so little to people. Bleh.

We binge watch GOT, so it doesn't matter when it starts or when Swerbaby2.0 arrives. We'll wait until at least halfway through the season to actually start watching it off the DVR. I've read all the books (seriously, so good), so it's not like I don't know what's coming in the story, kwim?

I can respect binge watching, I tend to do thy with most of my shows. Just not this one.

I'm also a reader and I AM quite excited for the next season. It's hard to watch with DH because he didn't read, it is a great exercise in a poker face.

I binge-watch GOT, feel sorry for myself, and eventually go back and watch them one at a time to try and tide myself over. I may start the entire series over once baby gets here because... why not??

Impressive! I tried to put together the rock-n-play yesterday and couldn't get the stupid metal legs on so I gave up. DH ended up doing it for me.

I forced myself to pick up a bit because I was a little bit worried the back pain I was feeling was the beginning of labor and didn't want to have the house in disarray, so I could relax. Every time I bent over, the pain in my back got worse... turns out its just regular back pain. Coupled with being extremely constipated. I'm not in labor. And my house is clean. WIN-WIN!

And I figured that out all by myself without posting an "Am I in labor thread?"!!!

They're dumb because they caught a disease? Do you know for sure they didn't get a vax? Because they aren't 100% effective.
If they didn't get a vax, do you know why? Are they immune compromised and therefore unable to get the vax? Some other explanation?

There was a major outbreak in the southern part of the province about 6 months ago that ripped through the unvaccinated population. Cost tax payers 1.4 million dollars.

Now there has been 1 confirmed case in the city (much larger population) and they've listed several locations where the infected person has been to over the last week (grocery store etc).

Yes I think it's dumb not to vaccinate and no I'm not interested in an anti-vaccination debate.

But for real, I've got my fingers crossed that health services is on top of this and it hasn't spread any further. They seem to know what they are doing by telling the public early and having dates, times and locations of possible infection areas available as soon as it became aware to them.

having hamburger onion and jalapeno pizza for dinner with a side of pineapple, plan to take a long walk and maybe try some eviction sex, MAYBE. So ready for baby to be here and really don't want to d all the things I have to do this weekend.

also scheduled a prenatal massage for monday just in case they can help me start something. and massage ftw.
