@avidkeo it's always gas for me too. @embear22 that's what I want to hear today, but I know it's like Fort Knox up in there :-( @snmetz7 good luck today!!
No parking at work at 8:25. Real glad I don't have to be here until 10--but have to get here earlier to park and there still is none. AND that I pay over $100/month for it.
You have to pay to park at your office?!?!

I do too - $70 a month... Stupid downtown office. The only bonus is because I'm a contract employee for this company, my parent company reimburses me for the cost.
I take the bus to work because it's $15/day to park. There is a lot that is $6 day but it is almost 2mi away from my office so the bus just ends up being easier. Luckily DH has a spot at his office so he drives and I've been making him drop me off and pick me up much more now that I'm so uncomfortable.
So pregsomnia last night I was on March14 board and they were all talking about where they sleep so their husbands can get sleep. IDC unless my husband is in a profession where it's actually dangerous to be tired I would not be sleeping in the other room so he can get his full 8 hrs of sleep while I get nothing when we are both working. Breast feeding or not my SO can get up change our baby and hand him to me in the middle of the night just as well as I can. I just can't today need to go back to bed.
I have to pay to park at work. It's super common in boston.
Wow I'm glad I work.just outside.
I don't know anyone in the city with free parking. Even my friends in Cambridge pay to park. I used to be on state st and it was over $300/mo. I only pay $100 now but I'm not downtown.
I would probably train commute if I had to pay 300$ p/m. Our office has it's own parking lot as does my husbands in Somerville.

DH was joking about taking the dog and sleeping in the trailer... I may have threatened to ensure that he was covered in poop if he tried that.
@purespark congratulations! Confession: I always read your name as purse park. When I just tagged you I really had to read your name so I could properly tag lol!!
Dear upper management, Please do not take away half of my team and then complain about us not getting our work done on time. Work on your managerial skills, listen to me when I say "bad idea," and remember a lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

I still can't believe how many of you are stretch mark free. My entire stomache is covered.
I've always been kind pudgy/thick, so I already had a bit of a belly to begin with. For once in my life that may have helped with something; my stomach hasn't really gotten any bigger than I could already push it out myself.
Heh...yay...?

Didn't someone write a while ago they got their stretch marks AFTER the baby was born?
ME!
I had three total on my hip when I went into labor (40w 1d) but by time I was home from the hospital my belly magically had more.

quick stats Baby Zaniyah made a very loud appearance at 4:46 am this morning! Weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz. Will latch onto one nipple only but is eating healthly. She has been very quiet but I know the peace will end soon. Long version to come soon.

...it's okay to complain about them, you weren't being rude about it. Just a shock to see at this point I'm sure! I'm going to complain if I get them-first world problems!
I'm with you on this one - I'm just keeping my mouth shut until this kid arrives. With my luck, I'll say something and then BAM! I'll be covered.
I've got to say, being able to go out to the grocery store and answer the obligatory "When is baby due?" questions with a straight-faced "Yesterday," results in some utterly hilarious overreactions.
No, my water is not going to break right now. No, I'm not in labor. No, I'm not afraid to be out by myself. Yes, I'm still cooking dinner tonight.
There's a woman on a local mom-to-mom group on Facebook that commented on someone else's post (about where to properly recycle expired car seats in our area - legitimate question) that she's using 13 year old car seats with her kids and defending it like we're all being idiots for not "thinking for ourselves" and using "common sense" in inspecting seats for safety. I want to find her and shake her.
Yes, lady, because deliberately ignoring a safety standard regarding your child is using "common sense."

Some people don't understand the risks. My DH is one of them. It took us getting our seat checked and a huge amount of research to prove to him that you can't use the latch and the seatbelt at the same time. He just didn't understand why that wasn't safe.
But using a 13 year old seat is crazy. Who even holds on to a seat that long?!
FFWC: I'm calling it now. If anyone calls my baby a "squish" "squishy" "squee" or WHATEVER on my birth story or LB post, you're not my friend anymore. I hate those terms. It's a baby. Chunker-muffin, chubby-bubby-baby, or whatever other nickname is mildly acceptable. My baby is not a squish. Squish is the noise my gut makes when I bend over.
I'm going to forget this and then we won't be friends.

I wish I weren't mobile. I'd love to check post history on birth announcements and just start asking, "who are you?" to the randoms. But I feel too mean assuming someone is random without checking just because I don't remember seeing them before.

"Yes, great, I have met your baby. Now if you would kindly tell me who the fuck YOU are..."
I always come so close before I realize I am usually not that blunt.

Our second attempt at eviction sex was waaaaay more successful last night. Try an office chair you can adjust to go lower to the ground!

Or I can show you my saggy twin skin stretch mark belly. So sexy!

embear22 My friend got them after.....
As for parking- at my office it was $260 a month. I metro'ed and still paid about 200/mo (but cheaper than driving with gas). RIDICULOUS.
But using a 13 year old seat is crazy. Who even holds on to a seat that long?!
Congratulations on all those snuggly babies, momma's!!
As for stretch marks, feel free to complain, I would be upset too! I wasn't saying I would show you mind to make you feel bad, promise!
