We actually see this all the time. Women come in saying they are pregnant and bleeding. We get them alone and tell us they were actually were never pregnant but the BF/SO or whoever thinks she is. They then ask the staff to tell the partner they are/were pregnant but having a miscarriage.

Jesus. How do you respond?
Depends how far along she is. We have had some that say they are term and in labor while bringing the whole family along and there never was a pregnancy. Those ladies go to Psych.
The first trimester ones go back to the main ER and get to explain it to the SO them self. (We have a separate ER just for pregnant ladies).

Read above. this really isn't that complicated people. My friends ex faked a pregnancy and miscarriage... but at the same time i had a real miscarriage. Once i told her about my miscarriage she admitted she lied about hers, she felt horrible and told the truth to our friend who thought he lost a child.

Yeah, I missed the response above... That's not exactly how you said it though.
How did you know she didn't miscarry anyway?

Because i knew she had alot of cycle/period issues and she was on birth control. The odds are not in her favor. I never said anything though. She just spilled the beans on her own and i told her she needed to do the right thing and tell her ex.

You seem to have a lot of fucked up people in your life.
Who does this kind of stuff? Fake a miscarriage and then just come clean to someone other than their then-SO about it?
This either explains why you lack maturity - if these are the kind of people you surround yourself with. Drama begets drama.
That or MUD.

Sadly this girl was a close friend for a while. Went to school together. She didnt know i was miscarrying so she didnt think she'd ever have to tell the truth. She hasnt been in my life for years. and yes most people in my past were complete shit. But im not blaming anyone. I chose my own way in life.
This thread confused me hughly at first and I couldn't figure out why all the GIFs were broken. Now I just feel like an idiot for reading 3 pages before realizing this was years old!

Everyone all she asked was how to do it and is it possible? Not to hear about bla bla it's so bad to do that. I actually was looking up the same thing. Because I have severe pain &on pain medicine &my doctor won't let me stop taking it unless I had a good enough reason like being pregnant. I want him to switch me to suboxone. Which keeps people who are physically addicted to opiates from the nightmare withdrawals that No ONE could endure. Trust me so I can get off these pain killers. So ha! Great reason. It's to better myself AND since I have a 90degree curve in my spine, my pain will only get worse as I get older. So even though I want to try to stop the painkillers now, I'm afraid I'll screw myself over and be flagged as an addict ¬ be able to switch back to pain meds once the pain gets worse with age and I'm in desperate need of relief. Which it will get worse and is getting worse. So if u have ideas..Please share. Because you negative Nancys out there have no idea how many circumstances there can be in this world. And they're all different. It's not our business to judge.

This thread is a blast from the past.
If you have a 90 degree curve in your spine that is causing severe pain, I'd suggest you seriously consider spinal fusion for scoliosis. This curve will continue to get worse as you age, and so will the pain.
PS: You should never lie to your doctor, regardless of how "good" you think your reason is.

(In all seriousness, @khylacouture, I'm sorry you're in pain. But remember, you pay your doctor for their services. They cannot make you take any medications you don't want to; they have no power over your daily life. All you need to do is tell them what you told us. If they don't listen, find a new doctor. Be your own advocate, no one else is going to do it for you.)
I think you're wrong about 90 degrees @khylacouture that is a straight up left angle. Is your spine completely bent in half? This would mean you are like facing the ground at all times.
Other than that, I fucking love the resurrection of this thread being a WK.

Thanks for posting this pic so others can see what a spinal curve looks like! As someone who had scoliosis (two 50 degree curves that ended with spinal fusion surgery), and was called a "hunchback" by bullies when I was a child, I have to admit a few of these comments stung a little.
A 90 degree curve is a serious medical condition, and despite wanting to fake a HPT, I hope this recent poster gets the treatment she needs.

Pretty close @janda426 It's totally possible. Eta: But shes probably curved to the side, not doubled over.
Don't listen to me. It's late/early AM here in Greece. Not even thinking that she could've meant sideways.
