Lately I've been thinking I might be perfectly happy w/just Penelope (and probably a dog later, l.o.l.), but then I also worry about her dealing w/her aging parents alone like has been mentioned on here before.
I'm not worried about that for Haddock. He's going to be all set and I'll make sure everything is set up for my SO and I when we get old so he doesn't have to deal with it.
I already know the senior living place I want to be in if we're still in Mass. or come back here when the time comes. When the commercials come on for it, I am oddly excited...then I remember I'll be 80 or so.

We are looking into brooksby.. I will be there soon but the night life looks fantastic
When we would have to send kids home in daycare clothes...we found the craziest stuff. At least, for the most part, it got returned Although we still had the families that would just add the stuff into their kids usual rotation...even with the daycare name written on them in black marker.
I love my chunky Baby. DD Has 4 rolls Going up each arm, a pot belly, chunky thighs. Her feet are fat enough to keep socks on. The other say I gave her some fries to see if she would eat them. I found them later in her neck, probably saving it for later. She is startingbto slim down and I don't know how to feel about that.
Hello, all. Giles here, and I have a confession. As you know, I used to be a black belt nap ninja, but lately I've been going to sleep very easily. I still won't nap in the crib, but mommy has come to terms with that and has started to enjoy our thrice daily nap times. She said she's happy she gets a chance to read her book.
But I could tell mommy was getting bored and complacent, so I decided today was the day to mix things up! I will not be taking an afternoon nap. In fact, I decided the best course of action would be to cry hysterically every time mommy tried to rock me to sleep. I just want to keep things interesting for mommy! Boredom is no fun.
Eventually mommy gave me up and let me crawl around on the nursery floor and play with a paper Trader Joe's bag. That was way more fun than a dumb old nap anyway.
ETA: I forgot to add that I strategically chose the day that I knew daddy would be coming home late! I figured this would maximize the effect.
Giles, I'm not going to flame you bc you are super handsome, but not cool. Not cool at all.
(And make sure she understands loans for private college = stupid).
I disagree completely with this. I went to an expensive private school and it was worth every penny that I will be paying back for the foreseeable future. It is not a decision to be taken lightly, but I knew what I was getting into and would not change my decision at all. My parents did what they could, and I took on the rest (along with some scholarships/financial aid). My husband is the same way. The schools we went to opened doors that wouldn't otherwise have been open. Love it or hate it, a lot of companies are still school snobs.

@Pink724 my private school loans should be paid off this year. F all that money it's been almost 8 years of payments. I loved every second of the time those loans paid for, though <:-P
I was giving my husband a pity beej last night (period finally showed up, almost three months post milk drying up) and I farted. Period gas is so stanky.
Because it was cold, I was underneath the blankets.
Beats a dead horse: you can have just as many loans from a public school!
To continue to beat it, it's absolutely true. I found that many private schools offet more financial aid. My college had several endowment based scholarships. I never would have gotten those at a public school. DH's 4 years at a state university were far more expensive.
Mine is that I feel so bad that I haven't kept up with you ladies while on the road and with family. I am so lost now as to what is going on on here. (
I can't wrap my head around the fact that there is someone actually body shaming a baby. Have you seen @emandia and her gorgeous baby boy? The cheeks on that baby could be nommed on all day long.
Oh my goodness he belongs on a commercial.. Sweetest little face
Soooo I just told mr.Ames to look at my pictures on my phone, and when he unlocked the phone it opened to my comment on ncchnats post. I said "haha she Dutch ovened herself!" He said "I want to know more about this thing called a sympathy beej."
I said "she's on her period. Next time I get mine you're totally getting a sympathy beej!" )
When I can't find a match for a sock when I take it out of the dryer, I throw it back in the hamper in the hopes that its pair shows up the next round. I have been washing the same orphan socks for years, I'm sure.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this.
because it didn't fucking snow enough for me to build my own

That's genius! I think it's a better solution than my little pile of orphan socks on the dresser.

Oh, and I'm irrationally mad at the salesperson that kept showing me the cheapest kitchen ranges when I kept wanting to look at the double oven, 5 burner ranges with the griddle in the middle. I feel like he was judging me, assuming I couldn't afford it. Confession: I was a little 'scrubbed out' since we just left the swimming pool.
So, I'm going back today and buying the really nice one that I wanted, is it bad if I want to use another salesperson to stick it to him?
Definitely use a different sales person! What a dick.
Or maybe he just tends to go to the less expensive items because he is either a- frugal or b- lower income. It's not as effective of a sales method as top down selling but I found myself doing that when I worked in retail sales.
