@34blondie, I understand if she wanted to be helpful and mention it incase you somehow had no clue but to go on and on is rude. You told her you were worried and aware and she should have stopped at that sorry she made you feel bad.
Today I ran into a girl with a LO that looked the same age as Grayson. She smiled at me and I would have usually asked her how old LO was and started small talk because I desperately need mommy friends but I didn't. She was really skinny and wearing shorts with perfectly tanned toned legs and I decided that would be bad for my mental health
We watched a duck dynasty marathon while I was in labor.
When was J born? I feel like we watched a lot if duck dynasty after Cal was born. I was shaking so bad my labor that I read to try to take my focus off of what was happening. I read the entire book, Lincoln Lawyer.
Yup. I was super nervous and was trying to calm down that DH put that on so he could watch it and I could try to keep sane
I watched Sex & the City and stand up comedy when I was in labor. Kevin Hart has a special place in my heart because of that. I would be such a weirdo if I ever met him because I'd have to tell him.
Ps - I watched this stuff at home on Netflix. I labored at home until I was 8cm. I don't think there was a tv in the room I gave birth in at the hospital.
I had a nice quiet room during labor/delivery. I listened to my hubbies voice via Skype when I was pushing, best sound I could ever imagine in the circumstances we were under.
I was reading trashy magazines during labor well that's until my contractions really started. After I was in pain I got an epi and slept until it was time to push. I only pushed 5 min! Labor went pretty well for me considering I was induced. I didn't have any music or TV on while pushing.
We watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls on the lap top before they broke my water and then a few during early contractions. After that it was lights out, electric candles on, and my praise & worship play list while I labored and pushed. I totally didn't foresee myself being all calm and in a sappy atmosphere but that's what I wanted/needed.!
I don't think we ever turned the tv on in my l&d room. I was having 20 second breaks between the end of one contraction and the beginning of the next (damn pitocin) until I got my epi and then went from 3 to 10 cm in an hour, 2 pushes and she was out. The thought of TV and music never crossed my brain!
I'm jealous of all you ladies who watched tv/movies while in labor. My labor was so awful I think I would have thrown something at the tv if it had been on.
Dang you Colorado!!! I'm shaking my fist at you for not having liquor in grocery stores. Two stops with carting a sleeping baby in his car seat is too many!! ( I wish there was drive thru.
If you're Denver there is a drive thru it's on downing and buchtel right after you cross the highway. Past wash park past south high school.
TV during labor. Ha! I labored at home for 20 hours (only media was actually reading natural birth stories on the bump!) then I labored for another 26 in the hospital. DH made a million different playlists ahead of time and I kept telling him I knew I would want no words or distractions during labor and I was right. At one point he tried to put on our mix of songs for baby and I just started screaming to turn it off. I went med free and I am the type of person who goes into a zone when I'm roughing through something. I ran a marathon with no music because I swear I was just staring straight ahead for 4 hours! I also wish I threw up but I had nothing in my system to puke by the time I hit transition. Afterwards, Once they told me they were going to need a surgeon to repair my torn clitoris I threw up bile and asked for pain meds finally! The whole natural birth experience was definitely overrated for me and I will be asking for an epi and watching a movie next time! No one should have to feel her lady button being torn in half!

Thank you! At first I thought @cl8badb wrote this, and I was like dang she really went out of her way to figure out an easier way for me to get my drink on.
Hahahahaha that would be some dedication! My uncle owns that one and my cousin opened a few In the past few year since I've been gone. I'll ask him where his are. I'm sure they have drive thru too.
In a not creepy way what area are you in? I grew up in cherry creek and my parents still live there.
I am still waiting for the numbers on my job offer and I am getting really impatient! I keep hitting refresh on gmail and am getting absolutely nothing done at my current job until I hear from them.
Guess I'll just keep planning summer travel scenarios until I get the offer letter!
So I DVRed the Oscars because ain't nobody got time for that, and it cut off the recording at the end of its 3 hour scheduled slot...except the Oscars ALWAYS run long so I missed all the important awards!! (
@workinit - No firsthand knowledge but I think it may take a week or two. How long has it been? How much/often are you pumping? Maybe try pumping more often, say every 2 hours for at least 15 min on each side. Are you taking any supplements to help?
I wish I had a dog.. Just so I wouldn't step on so many puffs a day.
Oh man me too. Shredded cheese and cheerios everywhere. It is so darn annoying (and I need to start ALWAYS saying darn because G has been saying "damn it!" and we are trying to get him to switch to darn it to which he replied, "but damn it sounds better!" He's kind of right. He got it from my Dad. Damn Papa!)
Does anyone know what this looks like? They are just on his belly and they've been there a few days. They don't seem to be bothering him thankfully. I haven't been worried about them but now I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should call his pedi
@colieann31 that just looks a little irritated to me. Could it be the material he was wearing or a new detergent? I would use a little hydrocortizone to clear it up. That and coconut oil because that seems to be the answer to everything
@calikat80 I don't know if it's the material or detergent. We haven't changed anything so that's why I'm confused! Lol I'll try hydrocortisone and see if that clears it up. If not then off to the pedi! Thank you!
@colieann31 ds2 sometimes gets something similar in that area. I think it is from the diaper rubbing when they sit. I just put Burt's bees diaper cream on it and it goes away by the next diaper change.

I'm soooooooo incredibly sick of my work partner. She makes my days absolutely miserable and I seriously want to quit my job. She pulls some major bullshit (a lot of it I recently found out about), so we need to have a sit down discussion. This is SO not me. I'm the most nonconfrontational person ever. But it has to happen... Any blunt people wanna help me out?!
