I just watched Pulp Fiction the other day. That's always good. ETA: The Boondock Saints is on there too if you have the urge to give that a rewatch.
I don't know what kind of movies you like. I usually stick to the dramas. Remembrance (requires reading subtitles), A Royal Affair (subtitles), Any Day Now, and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas are good but most of them have the potential to make you cry pregnant lady tears.

Yay! We went out to eat with DH's siblings and my SIL who had a baby last April announced she's pregnant again! She's due in September! I'm so happy to have all these babies so close in age!
Whatever you do, don't watch What to Expect When You're Expecting. I knew it was going to be bad, but I threw it on one night because I was folding laundry and didn't want something I had to really pay attention to. I spent the next 24 hours wanting to punch everyone involved in the making of that movie in the face. Just awful.

DH just admitted that he's terrified to travel on a plane with the baby this summer. My family is in Michigan (we live in WA) so driving isn't an option. I was hoping to start thinking about booking a flight in mid June because that's the soonest he can take off work from his new job. Any STM's travel early with a baby? How early?

Too late! I've seen that one!
But, the Boy in the Striped Pajamas is the winner for tonight. I like to ugly cry.

The Boy in Striped Pajamas will cause much more than pregnant lady tears … I was in a full out sobbing ugly cry …
I know what you mean. I watched Incendiary and The Other Woman as well. Both decent movies, but not recommended for pregnant women under any circumstances (both involve child or infant loss). No idea what the hell I was thinking. I'm talking boogers flying out of the nose ugly crying. (

Good choice! I've actually watched that one two or three times at this point, and I'm getting the urge to watch it again just talking about it.

@pineconey we flew when DD was 2 months. It was only a two hours flight, but since I was BFing I was able to comfort nurse her and she pretty much just slept otherwise. I find it much harder to travel Now that she's mobile and doesn't like to sit still.
Ugh. As usual DH and I got into it over his mom. She has four other grandchildren that she would move heaven and earth for. Our LO? She's an afterthought for my mil. Tonight she decides she wants to come help me with the baby for a week. In June. Since I plan on going back to work in early July I better have my shit together enough that I don't need much help. Apparently she's too busy to come any earlier than that. Because meeting her grandchild isn't high on her priority list.
Now he's pissed at me because I think it's ridiculous she wants to wait that long....
@pineconey we flew from El Paso tx to AL when DS was 6 or 7 weeks. It wasn't bad at all! He didn't really cry, I fed him during takeoff and landings. I flew again with him from El Paso to south FL by myself when he was 2 and half months. Again not bad and I did it with gallstones (was flying to FL to have my gallbladder taken out and my family could watch DS). I find flying with DS now at 2 is so much worse.

Totally puked up my entire delicious dinner. Such a waste of money. We're not going out to eat again until after this baby friggen comes.
SO OVER THIS BULLSHIT.
I had some amazing spicy Mexican food earlier and now I'm sitting here with heartburn/reflux/whatever... All I know is it feels like I have a burning ball of FUCK LIFE lodged deep in my throat/chest.

@Mamamonzo Yep! Should be! My appointment is at 2 PM on Wednesday. I'm not sure exactly how long it will take, but I would give it 30-60 minutes because it's my first appointment at the practice. DD will be with me because DH is working that day, just as a heads up

So much fun! Soda and garlic made me super burpy all the way home. We should have had some wine
Soooo I just squeezed out a little breast milk colostrum whatever and smelled it. Smelled like a chai tea latte. Now I'm tempted to taste a little when baby gets here. Is that weird?

I tasted mine. Tasted like super watery milk to me.

I never had the balls to try. I heard a story somewhere about a husband who tried his wife's out of curiosity and apparently it was horrendous--"wouldn't go near her boobs for a week" as the story went.

The moment my bf found out there was colostrum in there he stopped coming near them. I think it's gonna get worse once my actual milk comes in.

Sounds like my DH after DD was born and my milk came in. My boobs were huge and swollen so of course, boob guy that he is, he was fascinated. Upon further examination he realized that milk now came out of them and he was horrified. Poor guy! He had to learn to work with letting me leave my bra ON.

Ugh my apartment complex has the thinnest walls that separates upstairs from downstairs. My upstairs neighbors are usually screaming at each other to the point I debate about calling the cops.

I ate the old cake, it wasn't so bad. I did feel guilty after..."what did I just feed my kid?"
