Hope everyone had a great day!

I had a bunch of wine at lunch but still think I may participate in Margarita Day. ;-)

I also went shopping and bought things for me and not the baby! Yay new shoes and VS lingerie!

I just finished repotting some orchids my mom brought over because they were dying.I correctly assumed they were root bound, so hopefully they'll do better now. I need to remember to re-pot mine after this flowering season is over. Also, I need to buy one of those nail brush things. There's soil all wedged up under my nails.

I wish I could have flowers without instantly killing them. Jealous!

Also, my personal freak out is going to be averted because MIL is already bringing DD home. She fell asleep, woke up almost instantly and realized she as not within range of me and started freaking out.

I'll clarify that they were dying because my mom wasn't watering them, they weren't growing because they were root bound. Orchids actually are pretty easy to keep alive. North facing window and ice cubes once a week are all I've needed for mine so far.

ETA: Sorry your LO was sad, but at least you guys tried!

If anyone wants to know what I made:

- a can of frozen lemonade and one can of frozen limeade

- 2 L of citrus soda (I use either Squirt or Fresca)

- bottle of Gin (I use Bombay)

Pour all into a large container and let it sit for a while then drink away. So tasty and so creeper.

Man...I only had two glass of wine (granted, 2 big glasses) and I'm feeling spooko sleepy. About to put DS to bed. I'd love to get some sexy time in...as DH and I are amidst a serious dry spell...but...so sleepy. Ugh!

Hahaha oops autocorrect changed "sooooo" to "spooko"!! Thats too funny!

I am not a huge gin fan, either, but Bombay doesn't have that Christmasy taste to it like other gins.

There was only one pour left in my wine bottle tonight and I'm too lazy to open another. I keep looking at the wine bar though. We went sledding today so having logged that exercise is making the cookies on the counter look mighty good too. Need wine and cookies before we queue up Sherlock S3E2. I'm almost fully indoctrinated!

All day track meet. My lower back and hips are fucking screaming right now. Bleachers are the damn devil. DH is bathing the baby now and I'm waiting for a parent to come pick up cookies. As soon as E's asleep it's (canned) margarita time.

I just ate an ice cream sandwich. What a waste of calories. I should've just had more wine...pretty sure I'm at the point of no return now though. I have a hard time going from drinking to eating dessert, and back to booze again. Meh.

@LuckyLove23, get a gin martini or other cocktail. I got something called an English Bloodhound that was gin + Campari + grapefruit juice, and it was amazing, but I don't know if every place has that. Gin & tonic or soda with sliced limes is good too.

I typed my recipe earlier, and like I said, Bombay is probably one of the better gins at not tasting like pine needles. I like it paired with citrus drinks.

@Reesefox I made that same decision a few months back. It was not an easy decision to make, but honestly, he is a toxic person and him and I didn't gave much of a normal father-daughter bond to begin with, so ultimately it was the right decision. GL. it gets easier with time.

DH is eating crackers today. He is blaming it on me being cranky and informed me that it is probably "my time of the month". FU dude.

I will be celebrating margarita day and playing CAH with my mom soon. My little brother and DH will play as well. Hopefully he stops eating crackers so we can enjoy the game.

I hate leftovers but it is a mental thing. After years and years of my step dad forcing me to eat nasty foods that led to many fits of food poisoning I just can't mentally get past that to eat the leftovers. Like one or two days old max for me.
