Guys, I'm not sure if you know this or not yet, but @BonnieK10 is an angel! We just found out that we live in/near the same city and she brought me supplies to help J feel better. NoseFrida, baby vicks, saline drops, and some Kansas style cookie butter. Super lucky girl right here, the nosefrida is a lifesaver!
I'm going to pull my hair out today!!!!!! Not only did Jameson wake up 1.5 hrs early he has only napped for 30 mins total today and is a hot crying/screaming non-consolable mess. Its getting hard to keep my wits about me, I think my eye is starting to twitch.
@riansmommie, I'm so sorry. LO is acting that way too (teething) but at least he has been taking his naps. It's so hard not to get a break! Hope tomorrow's better.
thanks @heartlikemine3, i know its teething here as well, I just wish there was more I could do for him, he finally fell asleep after fighting me for 45 mins, but now im scared I just messed up his night time sleep.
Welp, I just tried on a bathing suit for the first time in 4 years... I'm grossly overweight and my boobs are swallowing my body.
Eta: on the plus side, I got K her first bathing suit and its so freaking cute! Plus we got swim diapers so we'll be signing up for swim class very soon!
Oh see I don't do bathing suits. I bought one 2 years ago, because I didn't own one, and wore it once. I hadn't wore one before that in something like 6 years. I refuse.
@kames12 oh, we aren't actually taking about yogurt (yogurt is cool). We just got into a conversation about WCM in the middle of the thread about yogurt.
ETA WCM = whole cows milk
My great grandpas funeral was very lovely today despite all the rain. And I got to bring home a pretty flower arrangement that someone had sent the red carnations are from the floral piece on his casket.
Once we got back into the city this afternoon we went and got Grayson clothes in the next size up. He's set on clothes through summer now! We spent $300 in like 30 minutes though in Carter's lol my SO went a little crazy. We also got Grayson some swim shorts!
Aww that's tough @gigglejiggle! Sorry my only way is with a bite of food. Hopefully he will start getting his appetite back soon and it will get easier.
@workinit Not yet, but holy cow man! I'm super excited to go out with the kiddies and have the wind blow us across the ice. I need my power too. If we lose power, I'm sure the school would too since I'm only about 3 blocks away. I would not survive at home with all 3 kids alone and no power. Not. A. Chance.
@gigglejiggle my method isn't pretty- on their back on the changing table and put it in and then pop in the paci so they suck and swallow. Can you put it in a bottle with juice or formula?
Also, unrelated, the guy next to me is reading 50 shades of gray on the train. Well I think it's that because it's the same cover in Spanish too. This makes me feel really weird sitting so close to him. I wish I hadn't read it myself or I probably wouldn't be so freaked out!
All 3 of my kids are sick and I'm on the period from hell. I need all the chocolate, bacon cheeseburgers, and chili cheese fries sent my way. Right meow.

Speaking of all these foods there is some stupid Taco Bell commercial right now where the whole thing is about girlfriends stealing boyfriends' delicious fast food and how their new wrap will make it impossible to share since a chick can't just grab a bite of a wrap. I saw it and I was so mad! I was like, "you SHARE you asshole, maybe she has her period! Maybe she is pregnant! What if she is hungry now too and changed her mind?!" It got me way too ragey, so I'm pretty sure I should start bleeding soon myself. Because that is a ridiculous reaction to a Taco Bell commercial.
@gigglejiggle I think you may jugs need to hold him down and dose him. We struggle giving ds1 meds of any kind- and they have always been liquid. Can you put it in some food? Like applesauce?
So I am starting to freak out. I just got a nosebleed and I only have gotten them before when I'm pregnant. People that have had mini pill fails just messed up taking them at the wrong time at least once, right? I have perfect use and take it every morning but I am getting Mirena in 3 weeks because it is making me too nervous. I have been losing my mind hormone wise the last 2 weeks and I just keep thinking I will get my period but it hasn't come still. And I'm pumping like half of what I used to for at least a week so I was presuming it's the pre-period dip but nothing yet. I'm just being paranoid, right? A test would obviously give me piece of mind but I hate spending money on something because I'm just being a nut job. I would get a negative and think, "could have spent that on a nice fat latte dumbass." Basically Lo better cut his first tooth or I better get AF or our household is going to implode. We can't handle this level of crankiness.
@gigglejiggle we lay him down on a changing table or any flat surface, squirt the medicine into his cheek and blow on his face. blowing on their face apparently makes them swallow as a reflex. maybe you could try that?
@pitchslap Lo LOVES yogurt. He can't open his mouth or use his fingers to help with any fruit or veggies but put shredded cheese on his tray or open a yobaby in front if him and he's all like, "oh yes I LOVE food!" He tends to get gummed up poop wise but he has already made up his mind about eating healthy and veggies. Guess I'll just keep sneaking stuff into smoothies and yogurt!
We are back to the never ever eating bananas ever plan. I gave DD a peach banana apricot pouch on Wed. Didn't poop all day yesterday even though twice she looked like she was really trying. A whole container of prunes for dinner, still nothing. She finally pooped later this morning, she was almost in tears she was straining so hard when she finally went, which of course had me in tears. I think we are doing another container of prunes for lunch just to be on the safe side.
I have been avoiding rice and apples but I wonder if there is something else I should cut out.
This was our house last week. It rained last night so it is melting although now the temps are back to freezing and it is sleeting/snowing. Good ole' Buffalo weather.
And she's lost weight at each appointment for the past two months so we have to start feeding her solids 3 times a day I suck at moming.
You definitely don't! I feed Lo solids 3x a day because he's a hungry little fella and his brother was the same at this age. Every baby is different and what/when you are feeding your kid doesn't indicate your level of mommy awesomeness. If you sucked at momming you wouldn't have gotten your child to the doctor at all silly goose.
Ugh! We just got normal results back from LO's ultrasound (yaaaay!) and now he's got a 102 temp. I spent exactly 28 minutes not worrying about my kid's health. I have him Tylenol and nurse and pedi said to just keep him hydrated and watch it, but still!! I was so psyched to just not worry for a little while.
