  • We have an elective ultrasound planned for a week from today to find out the sex. This may be the longest week of my life. Everyone around me says girl, Chinese chart says girl, I call baby a she, I even bought cute girl bedding that was on a major sale (I will sell it for what I paid if it is a boy)... Gonna try real hard to mask my disappointment if it's a boy, especially since we are taking DS with us to the appt. I'll be happy no matter what, but I was really wanting some girly, frilly stuff.

Ah yes, leg warmers on babies or adults are stupid. Totally agree.

I sneak leg warmers under my work pants sometimes because they keep our office freezing.  No one can see and I stay warm, so it's a win.  Now, if I wore them outside my work pants, that would be a different story ;)

I should have qualified that they're dumb as a fashion accessory. Totally makes sense to use them for their actual purpose. I do not miss the days of a freezing cold work building. The worst is when your dominant hand practically turns blue from using the computer mouse.

Come on...you don't think he's cute in these?????

We're getting our taxes done this afternoon. Last year we got HAMMERED. It was so bad that DH stormed out of the accountant's office and left me there nervously giggling to gather our things. Hoping we made enough changes this year for a refund. Wish us luck!!
Good luck! We owed last year but this year we're getting a decent refund. DH is already looking forward to having another child to claim next year, lol.
  • I ate three donuts today. It's snowing, AGAIN and we have no milk (what were we thinking??). We had plans to go to a housewarming tonight that was canceled because of the snow. I was secretly hoping it would be because DH and I were so busy with house errands today I just want to lay down.

I thought you Northerners never had to cancel anything due to snow?

Touché! We have 4WD so we could have made it. Although, we got 1 1/2' of snow that was still being cleaned up Thursday into Friday and another 6" today so I guess if it's to be canceled 2' is an acceptable amount.

  • I've been putting off buying any new bras because bras are expensive, but I couldn't mush mine into any of my bras anymore, so I broke down and went to VS and got sized up.

    I went from a 32A to a 34D. When the lady told me the size I told her there was no way, and she must be lying to me. I don't feel like they've grown thaaaaaat much. geez. So, now I have two bras that will hopefully fit me for a while >>;

Also, I've been complaining about my newly found boob-size all day, and DH is getting annoyed.

  • I feel you! The past 2-3 weeks I've gotten the same shooting pain from deep in my boobs to the nipples like I did in 1st trimester when they grew some....put on my sports bra for the treadmill yesterday and my boobs are coming out of the bottom of the bra now, lol!
I don't even think I could squeeze into the one "X-Small" VS sports bra I have now. >__< I'd get stuck and have to cut it off. lol. Glad I'm not alone in being slightly annoyed by my boobs. They aren't as sore as they were in the first tri, but my nipples are crazy painful. I've punched DH several times for touching them.

  • Woke up this morning to brown water :( Also couldn't go to a party last night because of the stupid surprise snow and our car cant handle it. Really need to convince dh its time for 4wd or move to a warmer climate.

So just sat in bed reading the ENTIRE thread...love. My DH and I sleep in separate beds right now...as I've gotten more pregnant, his snoring has gotten worse. So there's that. I'm considering a trip to Wegmans to get ALL the foods. It's not very close, but maybe DH will go. Yesterday, I suggested he move his car into the garage in anticipation of the additional 4-8" of snow that was coming. He said "can't you do it when you take the dog out?" Are my homicidal feelings normal? Odds on my being in the news?
Us too. I'm wondering what's going to happen when we have to get rid of the guest bed to make room for the crib.

  • DH is being a lazy bum today and snoozing on the couch even though he didn't get out of bed until 10. I keep trying to get DS to go sit on his head but he's brushing me off.
  • DH got called into work today to plow snow from yesterday's storm. We were supposed to go to a winter festival today and I'm glad we're not now. The thought of getting dressed and trying to park in a town that already has a horrible parking situation, let along when there's over a foot of snow, is exhausting. Parking spaces get reduced because plowed snow has to go somewhere, plus I noticed yesterday as we were driving through that some sidewalks weren't even touched. Plus this cute little tourist town with all its cute shops is a nightmare to push a stroller on a good day and a lot of the stores have a no stroller allowed sign on their front door. I feel bad that DS is now stuck in the house and already seems to be getting bored. We were out all day yesterday and I just think he's really tired. I can't wait for nap time.

DH has been sleeping in the guest room for weeks now. He's always been a horrible snorer. With me being pregnant and exhausted all the time and being a lighter sleeper than normal, I really can't take the snoring. He started off in our bed the last two nights and had to leave because he got tired of being kicked every time he snored.

I definitely just spent the last 45 minutes reading this whole thread...Hilarious!

I feel like the tables have turned for me.  After 4 months of not wanting to eat anything and feeling sick, I am now hungry all the time and will eat anything.  I had Cocoa Puffs at 7:30 this morning, then demanded my hubby take me to breakfast.  After scarfing down my IHOP we went to the grocery store and I'm glad he was with me.  I wanted everything I saw.  There is a Wendy's next to the store and it smelled AMAZING as we were leaving.  I tried to get him to stop in for some chicken nuggets and a frosty.  He said no...jerk.  I just ate a big handful of starburst jelly beans and now I'm going to take a nap.
This sounds like a fantastic morning...I'm jealous of all of your food!

I'm the one who leaves to sleep in the guest room. DH snores and I can't stand it. It's a major reason I don't want to get rid the queen bed and will likely make a nursery/guest room for #2. I read an article about a couple who became much happier once they made separate bedrooms for themselves. I fantasize about this possibility (not possible in our current house).

  • I went shopping for my second cousin's baby shower today, and found myself having a really hard time not buying a ton of stuff for myself. Well, picked out a crib, got a better idea on strollers... lol. At the last minute picked something random out for the baby shower gift...

  • dh said my snoring has been out of control lately and asked me if this was a new pregnancy symptom

DUDE I have had a cold for a week, and I'm almost over it - it's the cold, not my bump

I'm counting down the days til our A/S. I was SO tempted to buy some baby clothes on sale this weekend, but I really don't want grey or white, since we'll know the sex in 10 days!

  • I never go out for Italian because I make a mean sauce of my own, but goddamn, tonight all I want is some veal parm and every decent italian restaurant in town is closed on Sundays.

I really miss DH, but in his absence I have been sleeping in the center of our California King bed surrounded by a fortress of pillows and it has been amazing!  Also, I prefer for the room temp to be cold at night because I like being cozy under heavy blankets.  When DH is here, he hates being cold and gets sick really easily so we always have to keep the heat on at night.  I am LOVING having the huge, cold bed to myself :)

Luckily by the time he gets back and I have to give up my pillow fortress, I'll likely be too huge and uncomfortable to crawl out of a fortress anyway ;-)

Yep - I had to check it out too. I am ashamed to say I was confused at first and was torn between weird flowers and vaginas. It has been awhile since I had anything to do with that part of my body, I think I need to get laid....

Knowing this actually terrifies me and I half want to click on it and half don't.  I'm not sure which side will win.  I think vaginas are ugly... but I also think womens' bodies in general are prettier than mens'...

  • I'm really tempted to sneak out of the house (my boys and DH are all passed out already!) and go to Whataburger (sorry if you northerners don't know what that is….it's a DELICIOUS burger joint here in the south) to get a cheeseburger. Someone talk me out of it. Or give me the push I need to get up and go. I'm stuck here in contemplating mode.
Cheeseburgers have been one of my pregnancy cravings! Go get one! I had Five Guys for the first time in years a few weeks ago and it was delightful.
