I've started tracking changes in cm lately, and right now it is clear and wet, but does not stretch. Is this fertile CM or what?? I took two OPKs last night and the day before but not sure if they were positive. Any thoughts??
Lol I am shocked at a fast reply. (I've been posting on other sites for weeks and been ignored.) It started about..4 days ago, DH and I BD'd yesterday. And its still that way. Not sure if I already O'd or if I will soon. I've always been irregular and started taking Vitex a month ago. Didn't know if that would affect anything? Hope not LOL I'm getting baby fever
I don't get ewcm very often...it is almost always very clear and watery during my fertile time. In fact, when I was trying to conceive the first time I had more ewcm but the month I actually conceived it was just super watery.
I've tried BBT, but mine is always crazy, or I forget o.O I just downloaded FF apparently, but haven't figured out how to put in CM and BBT. I'll definitely be trying it out though!
Ty for taking vitex correctly. You wouldn't believe how many regular girls announce they're going to try it.
Agreed! My last period, ended on the 6th of February, was 6 weeks long. A friend with PCOS recommended it, and it immediately dropped AF down from heavy to medium.
I don't have health insurance and can't afford it without. I've been to docs before and no one could find out why. Its been like this since I was 12 (I'll be 23 this year). I think they ruled out PCOS, but not sure. But so far the Vitex seems to be working great.
Lol let me rephrase. I don't have health insurance until March 1st. My workplace wouldn't provide it until then. (Had to be full time.) After it kicks in, I have to find an OBGYN and then I'm going. Lol
Personally, and I'm a nervous nelly and planner, I would wait until your health insurance kicks in before TTC, especially since it's a few weeks away.
Back to the OP, your CM sounds like it's watery. It's considered fertile.
I know. I just overthink the difficulty of conceiving. Since I've had so many problems with irregularity, I always think its going to take longer to conceive.
Whoaa whoaa whoaa, you are TTGP without health insurance?
This is actually more common than you think. I'm a labor and delivery nurse and we get patients ALL THE TIME who arrive in labor without EVER seeing a doctor during their pregnancy. It is insane! (We drug screen all those patients by the way). We had 1 patient come in once who was a doctor of dermatology in Mexico and she never saw an OB. She was like, "I was taking my vital signs and I went to the ER 3 times during my pregnancy to have ultrasounds done." Not the brightest crayon in the box.
FYI - it takes at least three months for Vitex to start working, so if you've only been on it a month, then that's your body doing its own thing.
I've had 3 different friends with positive results in 1-2 months. (I think it also depends on dosage.)
Your friends are idiots. Vitex takes at least 6 months to see any results, sometimes more. Nothing happens in the first couple months that is related to the pills unless it fucks things up even worse.
I'm not touching what you are OP. Idiot doesn't scratch the surface.
This is expertise? Seems to me that this is just rudeness wrapped up in the body of a know-it-all. Seeing as how I posted on here for help (not to be criticized), you are in the wrong thread. As I stated before, I have been to docs with inconclusive results, and am trying what I have been told is helpful. So unless you want to keep sticking your foot in your mouth, I suggest you shut your oh-so-big mouth.
While it sounds harsh, I agree with whocanitbenow. Self medicating with something that has the potential to fuck with your cycle just because a friend thinks that's what helped them is just irresponsible. What issues do you have that your OB wants you to take this?
It wasn't based wholly on friends' recommendations. It was also based on docs suggestions.
I'm not ovulating every cycle, which is why they thought it was irregular. They're not sure if it's because I'm not ovulating or because of family medical history. I didn't want a lot of meds in my system and asked if there were any vitamins I could try, hence the vitex.

What test did they do to figure out you aren't ovulating? What family history?

And I repeat...what issue do you have that the doc suggested it? I'm just trying to understand. Also, I thought you said you haven't seen a doctor because you have no insurance??
My insurance was cancelled at the end of 2013. The last time I went was when I was living in a different town last year. Didn't get a DX done before my insurance cancelled. (Also why I have to find a new OB.) Nobody has ever been able to tell me why it's so irregular, and why I'm not ovulating every cycle. This is why I was even taking friends' suggestions. Because I've been living with 6 and 8 week long periods for 10 years and it gets old.

Vitex is as much of a vitamin as Cheetos.
Cheetos as a vitamin sounds like my version of heaven.
I started taking Vitex a
few months after I came off BCP because I had
irregular cycles and everything I read said that it would help. My pcp
at that time said it was fine to try. I thought that the Vitex was
working because my first cycle on it, my cycle was 35 days instead of 39
days. However, my next cycle was 94 days.
I scheduled my annual
exam with my ob/gyn around day 60 and we discussed my long cycles. She
said that I should stop taking Vitex immediately. She said that it
took a while for the Vitex to get into your system, so that 35 day cycle
was really just my body continuing to regulate after BCP and the 94 day
cycle was at least partially due to the Vitex. So, just when I was
starting to regulate, I fucked myself. Yay me!
I also have PCOS,
so I can't blame the Vitex entirely for my long cycles, but if you have
an underlying issue like I did, the Vitex can definitely make it
worse. I stopped the Vitex immediately, but it still took 7 months of
no vitex and taking metformin for my PCOS before my cycles regulated. I
can't say for sure that I wouldn't have had those problems without the
vitex, but I can say for sure that my cycles were nowhere near that
crazy before the vitex.

Doctors you have not seen recently because you are uninsured.

Have you tried the gummies? Those are heaven.
I just take the horse pills. No biggie. But it would be totally rad if folic acid was in cheetos.

I *JUST* realized that said cheetos instead of cheerios. Seriously. I thought, "Wow, I've never seen someone so excited about Cheerios". Then when you mentioned the folic acid part, I thought, "Gee, but Cheerios does have folic acid".
I'm derp. LOL!!!
I thought it said cheerios at first too. I was going to make some comment about how Cheerios are good for you.
I do love some honey nut Cheerios, but not as much as Cheetos.
@WhoCanItBeNow, you really can't read, can you? Apparently you missed the post where I explained the health insurance. I'm not sure if I should try explaining it to you, since you choose not to read what I post, but anyway, as I said before: Insurances cancelled in December 2013. (You'll notice that was 2 months ago.) The last time I went to see a PHYSICIAN, not OB, was on December 2013. I discussed my cycles with him. He suggested vitex 500mg daily, and daily multi-vitamins. As for cycles, my PERIOD is 6 to 8 weeks long. My CYCLE is anywhere from 60 to 120 days. (You'll notice, I do know the difference, contrary to your limited belief.) How do I know I'm not ovulating? Because I only have LH spikes every 3-4 months, and because of blood tests that say that no eggs are present for 3-4 months. Lies, you say? Then I'll be happy to give you every medical deductible I've ever had to pay.
@jefa621 that's my plan. My parents didn't have the money to go to an RE.
Why the hell are your PARENTS paying? I think if you can't afford a doctor visit, perhaps you should re-think this whole parenting thing.
They're not paying, they were. I'm sure before you moved out of your parents' house they were paying your Med bills. And have you noticed how much doctor visits are, especially specialized visits? Um yeah. Without insurance, it would take my whole pay check. And I say unaffordable because I'd prefer to not be broke as soon as I pay for an RE bill. (Not including tests.)

I literally laughed out loud when I read this.
@sevans11213 Coming out swinging like this will help you exactly zero. You don't get to tell people where and what they can post, you're not the Internet police.
As for your latest post, I'd be frustrated too if my cycles had been like that for 10 years, but it would have been nice to know all that info up front. We can only help you based on the info you give, and you can't blame people for getting confused if you only hand it out in bits and pieces.

@sevans11213 - I really recommend that you read my post on page 2. My physician (not OB) also said that vitex was good to try and he even told me where to get it, how much to take, etc.
Why didn't you go on bcp to help regulate your cycles? I would think an OB would do that when they have a teenager with such irregular cycles, long and painful periods.
My parents are majorly anti BCP. Long story, don't ask..... church does crazy things to them.
@amanderende112 there's a difference between confused and rude.
@sevans11213 People here are brutally honest. If you can't deal with that, or the manner in which the info (which has been excellent in this thread, btw) is given, then maybe this isn't the place for you.
Also, you can keep your condescending smiles to yourself.
@WhoCanItBeNow, At the moment, yes. That's what it is. Every winter there's this thing that happens at nursing homes where census goes down. When census goes down, hours go down.

This is really disrespectful. You don't have to agree with anyone else's religious convictions, but calling them crazy crosses a line.
Re: CM tracking issues....help?
Back to the OP, your CM sounds like it's watery. It's considered fertile.
And this means what exactly?
BFP #1 8.6.2011 EDD 4.7.2012 DS1 born 3.30.2012
BFP #3 4.30.2014 EDD 1.10.2015 DS2 born 12.31.2014

It helps to know everything.

Duh.

I'm 22. And yes, I'm one of those kids who didn't move out as soon as they graduated. Blah blah.

@mmb248 I'll have to go read it. I didn't see it the first time.
