DH does on occasion. I told him about this commentary and it was Hunt for Red October that did it for him

We just got our first "grown-up", matching bedroom set delivered today, complete with new mattress. DH and I were pretty excited about it and it appears DS approves of our choice. As the bed was getting set up he said "Mama, it's perfect!". Now he thinks it's even more perfect because the new dresser has a mirror and he can jump/dance on the bed and watch himself. Such a funny little guy sometimes.

My mum is overseas at the moment, on her yearly trip to France. She changed the dates so she could stay after I have the baby to help out.
I'm due on the 28th feb, we pick her up from the airport on the 25th feb.
I WANT MY MUM NOW!!!!!!
Not that she would stay with us that long.

I had to chase down a rogue chicken this evening and our puppy was out back trying to hide in terror. Unfortunately the puppy was pecked by the chicken and he is still whining about it. There isn't any marks but omg he sounds like he was in a death match or something! When we eat the chicken in a few weeks I am going to let him have some

@farmboyswife have you tried putting a tiny hole in the paci? Sometimes it helps the child wean themselves off because now the paci doesn't work the same way.

My nephew cut his own paci with scissors (accidentally I assume) and pretty much quit cold turkey because he didn't like the new feeling. Others have good results with a TINY hole that slowly gets bigger to ease into it

I got a shower thank-you card returned for "not at address" but actually YES, it IS the correct address! Now I have to waste another stamp, use a non-matching envelope, and look like a tool for sending it weeks late when it would have arrived with nice timing. USPS, you suck!

Also, I had the most amazing poop on Friday night. I actually clogged the toilet. (Our toilet is amazing and NEVER clogs.) I was suspicious it so was big/thick that I flushed before I even used any TP. DH did NOT believe me that all that caused it to clog was pure poo!

My husband is calling a local home cleaning company tomorrow to schedule a deep clean and weekly cleanings there after. I feel blessed because I just can't keep up anymore -- between my master's program, working a salaried nursing job (which is generally not fun), a 2.5 year old with sensory issues starting therapy, and 2 dogs...I am just overwhelmed.

So excited. I feel like it is Christmas.

I too am a rachel ray hater. Its like nails on a chalkboard.

And i had the group b test and it was not bad at all. The cervical check was worse.

And if you are wondering about the state of the cervix: NOTHING is happening. All these contractions are for fun.....

I made a mix of a couple hours of my favorite (classical) music pieces, and I am trying to listen to it almost every day. I now have one of my computer speakers pointed to my lower belly. I hope baby enjoys it. I wonder if I listen to it enough, then when he's out and crying, I can turn the music on and he'll quiet down cuz he recognizes it? (wishful thinking...)

GOSH DARN THAT MAN I LOVE. He gave me his cold when he was being all lovey dovey this last week.

Now I'm constantly on the brink of coughing fits, my head hurts, I'm hot, half my nose is stuffed up, and the other side is dry as the Sahara. -sigh-

DH is going to be making a trip to the store for some NyQuil and ice cream tonight. Maybe if I pamper myself with creamy happiness I can nip this in the bud...
