I live in Central Texas, between Dallas and Houston. I love it here. Seriously, the only way I would ever move is if it was to Germany! It's small enough to be friendly and not feel crowded, but there's plenty to do and if we don't have it, it's not that far away (Houston, Austin, Dallas).

DH and I are both originally from the Texas Panhandle. Our families still live up there, and although it would be nice sometimes to be closer to them, I would not move back.

I lived in Krakow, Poland for a summer, but other than that, I have lived here since I left my hometown for college. We're not big movers.

I live in northern VA; I've been here for about 7 1/2 years. Traffic sucks, but it is nice how close we are to several different cities.

I grew up in Kentucky. I hope to make it back there before long, since that's where family and friends are. It's such a beautiful state. And the food is great!

Born & raised in the Chicago suburbs!! Spent a few years in Cincinnati, OH. with my family a few years ago. Love them both & still go to Cinci all the time, but Chicago is home! Can't wait for this snow to go away (finally) & getting to wear cute spring/summer maternity clothes!!!

I disagree. The pool is way more effective at cooling me down than multiple layers are at keeping me warm! But that's just my opinion.

We live about 30 minutes south of Toronto Canada. We will only be here max 5 years. I love how much the community has for my kids to do. I hate how close the houses are together.

Grew up in southern NH moved to VT for my 1st real job after college then Western NY.

@aggiefrau08 no. Love bugs are those horrible little black bugs with red heads that stick together when the mate and are EVERYWHERE in the spring. Maybe it's more a gulf coast thing.

I live in Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. There is so much to do here. We are close to the beach, Hollywood, downtown LA, Disneyland. Can't beat the weather, except during the summer. The valley can get ridiculously hot. I really can't complain much. Southern California is a fabulous place to live. Much better than Northeast Ohio where I grew up.

I live in SE Michigan. I like my church community and how pretty it is in the fall here. I grew up in the SW burbs of Chicago, then lived in and around the city after college (also IL). I haven't gone too far. Truthfully, I miss the Chicago area and would move back in a heartbeat. It's where all our family are!

I grew up a mile away from our current home! I LOVE our 4 extreme seasons, and I am one of the few people that enjoy the cold. I also love our lakes, and all the wonderful outdoor activities we have! Something I don't like....constant road construction!

I've lived in MN and ND...pretty exciting, I know ;-)

Where do you live now? What do you like or not like about it? Just outside of Portland, OR. I love living close to a "big" city with lots to do. I've lived in the NW most of my life so I don't mind the rain. Though I wouldn't mind a little bit more sun, either. I also hate that is rarely snows here. Officially Atlanta has had more snow than us this winter, haha.

Where did you grow up? Bellingham, WA. Pretty much Canada. Amazing area.

Where have you lived over the years? Born in South Africa, few years in Southern Cali, Bellingham, WA most of my life, brief 3 month stint in Oklahoma City, then Oregon for the last 4 years.

I almost didn't post this for fear of some one realizing they know me or something because we've told no one about the pregnancy yet lol oh well! I guess if that's the case that person is at least in the same situation as me since they're on this board too!

I'm from TX. I Decided I wanted to try something new when I was 20 so I moved out to Sunny San Diego. I ended up meeting my husband out here a few months later- a fellow Texan relocated by the Navy- and we'll be moving back to TX this July just in time to be around family for the birth of baby!

I do love that the weather is relatively mild in SD(so you can do a lot outdoors without getting al hot & sticky) but I hate not having actual seasons & I really miss thunderstorms!

I'll be glad to move home and get a house 3x the size we own now, for a fraction of the cost back in TX!

I currently live in Southeast MI. Moved here when DH and I got married 3 1/2 years ago. Living here is okay. I love his family and my job. Some really great places to eat and I love going to Mackinac Island in the summer.

I grew up in Northern Kentucky. I really miss living in KY. I miss my family. It is a beautiful state.

I have only lived in MI and KY.

Born in Camp Lejune, NC; moved to Okinawa, Japan; then pretty much lived most of my years in stafford/quantico/fairfax VA. Now I live in San Diego and as far as I'm concerned, I'm never going back to the east coast!

My fam is aaaaall Ohio...Columbus and Akron...was supposed to go to OSU, but uh, saw the out of state tuition (yikes) so went to GMU...

nstark2908, I love Chicago! How did you end up in Columbus? Short North is fun, but, yeah. Would be hard to compare.

@RusalkaSings my DH and I dated long distance and since I didn't have a job I decided to look in Cbus. I love all of the metro parks, but nothing compares to living in the city. I miss it tons.

What do you like or not like about it? I love the weather, most of the time. I have a love/hate relationship with the tourists as I am sure most of us do.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in southeast WI and was there for 23 years. I got sick of the cold, snow, and very little sunshine.

Where have you lived over the years? I moved around southeast WI as a child but then took the leap of faith to move to Florida when I was 23

Boy yeah a lot of people from MI on this post. My DH grew up there but moved down here about 8 years ago.

3. I used to live in Los Angeles and I loved it there! But before I moved to LA, i used to live in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (by Longwood Gardens) I miss the 4 seasons in the East Coast, but I dont miss shoveling snow and wearing multiple layers of clothing!

I grew up in Georgia, moved to Orlando around middle school. I went to boarding school outside of Atlanta, but came back to Orlando after that. Now I live in one of the Orlando suburbs. I love that my family & friends are here, I love the city that I live in, and I love that I can take my daughter to Disney anytime because she loves that place. I hate the weather, I hate the traffic & I usually hate (most) of the tourists.

Where do you live now? What do you like or not like about it? I live in MD, 30-40 mins north of Baltimore. I love my area. We are more country then near the city. TRAFFIC SUCKS though. I can't understand how there are weekly BAD accidents at red lights?! It's a red light - STOP!

Where did you grow up? Grew up in PA, about 45 mins SW of Philly in a little 2 light town. I loved it. I moved a whopping 12 miles away.

Where have you lived over the years? I went to school in Bloomsburg, PA between State College and the Poconos. LOVE IT, but man it was cold... and snowy.

I'm from Maryland (MoCo!) - I grew up about 20 minutes from where I live now, and went to College Park for school. The worst thing is the traffic, especially into Northern Virginia.

I've never lived anywhere else but I would love to move to the West Coast - Washington or Oregon.

Born, raised, and still live in PA in the Philly suburbs, about 45 minutes outside the city.

I love it here, although as the 'burbs fill in I wouldn't mind living a little further out for some of the green space I used to see in my town growing up! DH and I met at college near King of Prussia, PA, but our families at home actually live about 6 minutes apart - and now we live smack in the middle of them. Lots of helping hands nearby for when the LO arrives!

I was born and raised just outside of Philadelphia- About 20/30 minutes from downtown. I love where we live.. close to the beach.. the mountains.. the city. DC and NYC are only short drives away and we have all four season (however I wish our winter was just a little shorter)

I went to college in Pittsburgh- other then that I have only ever lived in Philly.

Currently in ft. Worth. We moved here last November after a year and a half in Vietnam and South Africa. I grew up just north of Houston and Nigeria, and have lived in central Texas as well (by far my favorite place in Texas!) I can't stay put for long and we hope to return to Vietnam in the next few years.

Another Michigander here, although it looks like i might be the only Westsider so far? I live in a resort town along Lake Michigan and i love it - crazy, gorgeous and fun in the summer and quiet and laid back in the winter.

I've lived elsewhere in west Michigan and spent an awful year and a half near Indianapolis - could not stand being landlocked!! It definitely made me appreciate where i live now so much more.

Currently live in a small town on the water about 30 min from Baltimore. I grew up in central PA and DH grew up in southern PA, very close to MD border. We have lived in NYC, northern jersey and central jersey before moving to MD for DH's work. I always wanted to live/work in NYC after college, so we did that for a few years, but always knew we would move closer to family after a few years.

I am definitely a suburbs girl, but I like being close to big cities. I do miss the luxury of being able to get anything you want at any time of day in the city, but we've come to really enjoy Baltimore and being so close to all our college friends in DC.

I grew up in southern Indiana. I still live in southern Indiana, but I'm in a different part now, closer to Louisville, KY. I grew up WAY out in the country and absolutely hated it, so now I live in the city.
I lived in Bloomington, IN while I was in college and I also lived in Gulfport, Mississippi for 4 years. I loved living in MS and would love to move back one day.
