We live in a water community near Annapolis, MD. I love it here. I have a craptastic drive to work, but it's so worth it to be able to walk down to the boat ramp and beach in our neighborhood with the kids and dog and to drop our (old jalopy) boat in so easily!
Grew up nearby - almost all our family on both sides are Marylanders, born and raised.
I went to college at Virginia Tech. Living in the mountains in Blacksburg, VA was such a great experience. Moved to NYC after graduation for a few years, but it chewed me up and spit me out. I'm not cut out to be a New Yorker, lol.
Mom to Abigail & Liliana -- Identical Twin Girls -- April 2008 Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
Now, Michigan. Growing up Michigan Over the years Michigan! (4 years on the other side of Michigan for school!)
I love the seasons and the lakes. Not like, this year is all the snow and cold. I am over it and we are getting 6 more this weekend and then another big storm next week. Already can't see at corners the piles are so high. And I am in SE Michigan I can't imagine further north!
I've always wanted to see the beach towns in MI - Traverse City, places like that!
Mom to Abigail & Liliana -- Identical Twin Girls -- April 2008 Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
Born and raised in FL. Never moved. The weather and I have a love/hate relationship. I think it's mostly the humidity I hate because I'm a beach girl. But it would be nice for it to be cool on Xmas.
Just moved to South Carolina a year ago from Tampa, Fl. It's definitely a huge difference but we love it! Got out first big snow ever so it was definitely a wonderful experience! I don't know how you guys up North handle it on a regular basis!!!
I was born in Florida, grew up in Texas and Florida about half and half, and currently live in Kansas.
I miss both Texas and Florida. Can't beat the BBQ or the beaches! But Kansas has all four seasons, less humidity, less mosquitos, and NO love bug season. So we're pretty content at the moment!
North Florida. I love it because it never get too cold (except currently), and I hate it because it is balls hot in the summer.
I was born & raised in the beautiful country of Panama (ideal weather most of the year, aside from the humidity).
I left Panama at 16 to go to boarding school in Cullman, AL, then I moved to north Florida, then Baltimore, then back here, then to Atlanta, and back here. What can I say I keep getting pulled back every time I try to leave.
Now, Michigan. Growing up Michigan Over the years Michigan! (4 years on the other side of Michigan for school!)

Personally, Grand Haven is my favorite, but I'm a bit partial. I do love the wineries in TC though.
Connecticut. Love having fall and spring can't stand the long cold winters.
I was born and raised in CT as well.
Anddd it's the only place I've ever lived!
Where do you live now? What do you like or not like about it? I live in South Jersey now. I like being very close to Philly & being able get to NYC, Atlantc City, DC & Baltimore relatively quickly.
Where did you grow up? I grew up in a suburb of New Orleans, LA, lived in the city for a while. We're heading back to the area in May.
Where have you lived over the years? I lived in Baton Rouge, LA for a few months & in Columbus, OH for about a month.
I'm a Queens, NY girl transplanted to Long Island. Did college in DC, and loved it. Almost all of our families live in Queens and Nassau Counties, so even though DH and I would like to move, we will stay to have our kids experience big family life.
Edit to add: what we like about Long Island is the proximity to the city & convenience of having everything at our fingertips. Don't like the high COL, mostly homogeneous communities, and taxes.
I live in North Jersey, right outside of NYC. I love being close to Manhattan, but I don't like that the houses are on top of one another and the cost of living is insane. I also don't like that in our county we have blue laws - all retail stores are CLOSED on Sunday.
I was born and raised in Central Jersey, which I miss, and where most of my family currently lives. We have a beach house at the Jersey shore, so it's nice to get away on the weekends in the summer.
The only two places that I've lived (outside of the Jerz) were PA (for college) and NYC (for 9 years).
Only someone from Texas would love no lovebug season!! This made me LOL. I HATE those damn bugs!

We have lovebug season in Louisiana too. I hate trying to clean those damn thins off the car
I'm currently living near Richmond, va. Went to Grad school in Va which is how DH and I ended up down here as we met there. Originally I'm from Upstate NY near Lake Ontario. I miss it a ton since my entire family is up there but I don't miss all the lake effect snow!!
I live in the Mid-Michigan area. I've lived in the same 45 mile area since I was 3. I love it here --- wait, wait -- I am NOT loving the snow and cold weather right now though. Summer can make it's appearance any day now, lol.
Another nutmegger here! Grew up in CT, went to college in Boston, lived a couple of years in Southern California but found my way back to CT. We really do have fantastic falls :-)
I live in Columbus, OH. I desperately want to move.
I'm from Chicago and absolutely love it there.
I've lived in Chicago, Denver, UP Michigan, and Ohio. Denver and Chicago were my favorites.
nstark2908, I love Chicago! How did you end up in Columbus? Short North is fun, but, yeah. Would be hard to compare.
Where do you live now? What do you like or not like about it? I live in central California... far far away from my bumbie friends. *cry* I'm not a fan of the valley, DH and I visit the coast every year and plan to buy our next house on the central California coast. Love it.
Where did you grow up? Northern California mostly.... REAL Northern California, Sacramento is central. We were almost in Oregon.
Where have you lived over the years? I was born in Japan and moved to
Texas when I was two, then Sacramento, then Northern CA where I grew up
mostly. Went to High School back down here in central California and never left.
I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area, and have for three years. Born and raised in south Florida, college and grad school in central Florida. I miss palm trees, the ocean and my family, but we're Texans for the foreseeable future.
I currently live in southern new jersey, right over the bridge from Northeast Philly. Hate it its too congested.
I grew up 'down the shore', right outside of Sea Isle City in Cape May County. So I miss my quiet winters not the summer crowds though eeeeeeeeek

I grew up and live in Minnesota and will probably spend the rest of my life here, unless this winter breaks me. ps :: I can't believe there are so many MI girls!
@mrsdanielleM2010 I'm a fellow Long Islander--also live in Nassau County!
I was born and raised on LI. I lived in Suffolk County until I was 24. After my divorce, I moved to Nassau County to be closer to work. Moved around a bit in Nassau before getting married and settling down where I am now--- not far from Queens. I have about a 3 minute commute to the school I teach in.
I love being close to everything and of course, close to our families. Love being able to get to the beach easily too!
Not really loving the cost of a house and taxes. And living in Nassau I don't like how close the houses are and the lack of property. The house I grew up in in Suffolk had so much property!

I grew up in Kansas City, KS now live in Beaufort, South Carolina
The bugs suck here!!!! Love bugs can suck it!
But the local food is pretty good. Definitely a fan of the shrimp festival!
North Florida. I love it because it never get too cold (except currently), and I hate it because it is balls hot in the summer.

My sister lived in Costa Rica for several years and would visit Panama often. She said it was the most beautiful country she's ever seen.
Mom to Abigail & Liliana -- Identical Twin Girls -- April 2008 Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
Where do you live now? What do you like about it? Northern Illinois -- just west of Chicago. I enjoy that it's a mid-size city with great shopping, eating, and entertainment but within driving distance of Chicago where there's even more of that. I dislike this winter weather we've been having. My bones are aching.
Where did you grow up? Northern Alabama -- middle of nowhere
Where have you lived between times? Pensacola, Florida for college -- great beach town! Northern VA/DC area -- 8 years. Baltimore, Maryland (6 months), South Texas (4 years), Chattanooga, TN (1.5 years), South Dakota (3 years). Yes...I've moved a lot. I've found I like city life better than country life and prefer the north over the south. It's way easier to stay warm in the winter up north, than to stay cool in the summer down south -- there's just no way to counteract southern humidity.
Where do you live now? What do you like or not like about it? Sacramento, CA-I like it here, not sure if its somewhere I want to retire, but its close to Lake Tahoe and San Fran, so it will do for now
Where did you grow up? Northern Cali-in the middle of nowhere
Where have you lived over the years? Pretty much Northern Cali.
Ii live in Stafford, VA which is half way between Richmond and DC. I like being close to the city but HATE the traffic. We eventually want to move to Georgia. Its a little warmer there. I have only lived in NOVA ever, moved around in a couple of cities but that is it.
Re: Do we know where everyone is from?

Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
I grew up between the Detroit area and western Michigan.
I've also lived in upstate NY, DC, and Columbus Ohio. DC and Cbus were my favorites.
I miss both Texas and Florida. Can't beat the BBQ or the beaches! But Kansas has all four seasons, less humidity, less mosquitos, and NO love bug season. So we're pretty content at the moment!
Personally, Grand Haven is my favorite, but I'm a bit partial.
I grew up here and lived in East Texas for college and the. The DFW area for a couple years after.
I love living near Houston- it has so many great offerings. It's super hot and humid and that sucks in Aug!
That being said I will never live outside of Texas- if I have a say in it. I love my state!!
Married: August 2012

I'm from Chicago and absolutely love it there.
I've lived in Chicago, Denver, UP Michigan, and Ohio. Denver and Chicago were my favorites.
Those bugs are a plague, I tell you!
SN: There seems be quite a few from MI.
I live in central California... far far away from my bumbie friends. *cry* I'm not a fan of the valley, DH and I visit the coast every year and plan to buy our next house on the central California coast. Love it.
Northern California mostly.... REAL Northern California, Sacramento is central. We were almost in Oregon.

Where did you grow up? Another part of Jersey
Where have you lived over the years? Around a small area of Jersey and Georgia
ps :: I can't believe there are so many MI girls!
