This is more of an FFFC... but I wonder what I do/post pictures of on IG that makes people question my parenting decisions, eye roll, etc.
Not gonna lie the past few weeks around here have made me think I need to go through and do some cleaning up on my IG followers. I don't need anyone calling CPS on me.

Oops, sorry Toni. I've been flagging all your posts as child pornography. My bad.

Don't you get weird randos following you? I did so I made mine private.
I haven't that I know of. And even if I do, meh. My IG is pretty boring. I had randos commenting on my pics because they made money though IG (by commenting maybe?) No thanks.
I don't know exactly how roller coasters/rides are tested. I highly doubt theme parks would open themselves to giant lawsuits and allow the ride to just be tested by dolls.
I am not opening the Super bowl food thread. 90% of my food today has been vegetation. I am hungry and out of food at work with a whole convenience store below me.
This brings up an UO for me. It bothers me that people care so much about the Super Bowl just because "it's the Super Bowl". If you haven't been paying attention to football and have no idea how the teams got there and such, don't make such a big deal out of it!
I couldn't care less about the food I eat Sunday night, I just want to see the Broncos pick apart the Seahawks' secondary!
Directed at no on in particular, just a general annoyance with non-football fans!

I just want the Broncos to win!! I really want to go to Colorado to watch it with my brothers. (
I know the ride at sea world so maybe that is why it didn't seem like a big deal to me. But I also spent Sunday looking at used dirt bikes for my 3 year old so I know I am on the more relaxed side of things regarding what I am comfortable putting my kids on.
I guess I don't see the problem with having a Super Bowl party even if you aren't super interested in the actual game. It's a reason to hang out with friends, eat some good food and watch football. I know my dh really follows it and can probably answer all the football related questions, but I'm not over the top excited about the game. We are making it a family thing by inviting some friends over that have kids the same age as ours, versus my dh shut in he bedroom watching it by himself.
I don't care about football when the Packers aren't playing. I don't really care about it when they are, but yea. I participate in the Super Bowl stuff for the commercials and the food. 90% of the time if we're not going somewhere or having people over, I read, DH watches the game and then we watch the commercials together.
Mine was until some family members found me and started following. I put it on private when some sketchy family that I don't talk to thought they would use my IG as a way back in. I didn't need them using my daughter (because lets be honest, I post like 5 pics a week and more often than not they are all her).
Kid #1 - 09/03/12
Kid #2 - maybe???
Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube #11 or IVF with scarring still inside? 1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
And now I see I am 2 pages behind again and this was covered. Nothing to add except that I hate work.

It makes me uncomfortable when people (I'm referring to IRL people at the moment) post pictures of kids from the daycare where they work. My kid isn't in daycare, but if she was I wouldn't want other people posting pictures and video of her on IG and Facebook. Is there a policy for this?

I agree. I posted a picture of DS yesterday at daycare and I tried to block out the face of another little girl in the background. I follow someone on IG that works at a daycare and she posts pictures of her kid and the other kids at the center all.day.long. I assume she is friends with the parents, but I never see them comment.

I agree. I found a bunch of pics of DD on my old nanny's public IG. I wasn't happy.
I would have been livid! Thankfully our babysitter and now our center have not and do not do that! They have taken pics and Facebook messaged them or texted them to me, but I would flip my shit if they posted them on their walls.

This is crazy. I would think there would be. I know some daycares have fb pages and post pictures, but I always assumed they had to have the parents consent. Kinds like kids in grade school have to have their parents consent to be in the yearbook and such. I also don't know what daycares allow their staff to have their phones out while they are working...
I like Jennis blog. I agree it's become a little repetitive and slow but the other stuff doesn't bother me. I don't read it for intellectual stimulation.
When I was a summer camp counselor in 2006 I had posted some pictures on my Facebook at the end of the summer. A few weeks later the camp director messaged a bunch of us asking us to take down any pictures with campers in them because they were minors and we didn't have their parents' consent. It made sense, so I did it. I would think child care centers would take the same steps.

This actually happened to us. We didn't find out until the kids weren't there anymore. One of the girls that worked at their old daycare followed me on IG and when I followed her, I looked at her pics, and she had a few pictures of DD that she had posted in the classroom, way before I even had IG. She didn't work there anymore, so there was no sense reporting her, but I did ask one of the other girls that used to work there and she said there was a policy on not taking a picture of the kids. Clearly it was not very enforced.
My style hasn't changed since I've become a mom. I still rock skinny jeans. I wore higher waisted jeans pre-pegnancy when an outfit looked better with them. Horizontal stripes look better with something helping to suck me in.
I do not however wear a bikini anymore. But that's a stretch mark issue. I refuse to let these suckers see the light of day. Monokini FTW. Also, I have been thinking about buying one of those high waisted ones. We shall see.

Our daycare has you sign a waiver so they can use the pics on FB, their blog, or other social media. I signed it. They recently started an IG page that is private but I love seeing my kids' pics on it. If it was an employee posting a picture of my kid on their FB page without my consent, I would find that odd.

Oh. The video I just posted has another kid in it.
I think anytime your kid is doing something like a school play, sporting event, attending a birthday party...those pics are going to end up on someone's FB/IG/Blog. I think it is different than the teacher taking pictures of the kids in the classroom and posting it to their personal FB without having the consent of the parent.

Apparently there's something about us that attracts the weirdos....
True story. Have you met my husband?
So follow me.
I'll judge you all.
(Not really, the amusement ride pic made me uncomfortable because I'm a pearl clutching chicken, as mentioned before)
