I am behind here..what is the issue with Pampers?

I was just seeing on here that pampers has a new lining.  What is it and what has been happening?  TIA

  • They no longer have the mesh lining in the Cruisers. I don't know if baby dry was affected because I've only used Cruisers.

  • Here's what they told me:

"We have listened to moms and have moved to Dry Max, a new technology which includes a new liner.  Dry Max is Cruiser?s newest technology that has been invented and applied to the current Cruisers core, which allows the diaper to be 20 percent thinner than Baby Dry without sacrificing any performance.  Moms have told us the new liner is soft and gentle on baby?s skin, yet still provide Cruisers best ever dryness with the same great freedom of movement and absorbency you?ve come to expect from Pampers.  Please be assured I am sharing your comment with the rest of the team."

    I switched to Huggies.

  • We just switched from Pampers to the Target brand. They are so much cheaper, still soft and we haven't had any issues with them.

Do you have any leak issues?  I heard the Target brands were bad w/ leaks.  I use Luvs, which are cheaper, but would prefer to buy anything that's just as good and cheaper. Gotta save money where I can!  :)

  • we've been using Target diapers for about 2 months now and LOVE them - no leaks, no issues, soft, no diaper rashes.... all around very happy!!! And huge bonus in saving all the money we are saving!!!

  • We haven't had any problems at all with the baby dry and doesn't appear they've changed. It's just the Cruisers, which the old style ones gave DS a rash too.

  • I bought some Swaddlers the other day because I was making a diaper wreath for a friend.  They have even changed those.  The mesh lining was in there but there were not nearly as soft as before.  I had some left over that I bought a year ago and you can definitely tell a difference.

Target diapers rock!  Sooooo much cheaper than name brand and no issues.

  • PD didn't like the Target brand. We would have blow out and to me they didn't feel as soft. He would also get rashes on his thighs from the band. But I am thinking that is just him and he inherited him Mommas sensitive skin. With Huggies every diaper was a blow out.

A couple ladies on here got to product test the new ones. Lorifalce said they were fantastic and she never used to buy Pampers, but when these hit the stores for sale she will pay whatever they ask for them.

She is right. I loved the ones I tested, but they were an extra absorbent/overnight diaper. Completely fantastic and Joseph has yet to have a leak with them.

I am generally not a Pampers fan and prefer Target or BRU diapers. It figures I find the perfect diaper right as we're getting ready to ditch them entirely for the potty.

  • I emailed Pampers and complained. We have been using Pampers Cruisers since DD was little and we loved them. With the new liner style, I have been changing diapers, clothes, and sheets like crazy. I have to put a fresh diaper on Justin at bedtime (like always) then gently change him while sleeping a few hours later and by morning, he is soaked again. Seriously, we have gone through twice the amount of diapers as usual since they changed the lining. I complained and they sent me two $10 off coupons for Pampers and promised to send me a trial diaper they are testing. Whatevs. I will probably be finding another brand soon. Sad they suck now.
