Generally I don't eat fast food. But I really need the fast food thread to go away because it's making me dream of shakes and fries.
Non-pregnant, I can go months/years without it. Now I crave it constantly (but luckily for LO don't give in too often.)
I wish I had your resolve! I am not normally a fast food person either but I have been needing Wendy's spicy chicken in a bad way the past few weeks.
OMG their chicken sandwiches on the pretzel rolls are out of this world! And I'm not usually anything more than a baked potato and caesar side salad girl when it comes to Wendys.
@AprilMay9 Maybe at 30 minutes before dinner, tell him, "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes"? That way he can get whatever he's doing out of the way but be on time for dinner. My friends and I have to do this with one of our friends who's habitually late to EV.ERY.THING.
I also do this for one of my friends. I always tell her to come at least 30 minutes earlier than the actual time. It really gets on my nerves when people are habitually late.

I just read the whole UO thread and am so irritated. Partially because I'm mobile bumping and everyone quotes it's so much scrolling. So annoyed with myself for being annoyed with scrolling. Total first world problems.
I just spent a long time making what is probably the most delicious potato soup I've ever had for a work luncheon tomorrow. My coworkers better hope there's some left by morning.
Today I quilted all day and it felt sooooo good. Crafting is like, my ultimate nesting since we can't set up the nursery due to moving. I'm obsessed with scarf bibs also... So adorable and cute and my baby just needs to have a million of them (or will at least have one everyday for a year at the rate I'm going).
Also, I'm so effing itchy. This weather is terrible, and everything is so dry. My stomach feels like it's going to rip open, and it's not even the babies fault. Over it, for sure.
Once I found out school was cancelled for tomorrow- I let my kids have ice cream for a late dessert and stay up an hour later than usual. Mom of the year? Nope, but I am hoping to sleep in a little. So dang tired.
Best moment of the day-I threw my pajamas down this morning on top of the heating vent. When I put them on just now they were so warm and toasty... It made me warm and fuzzy and happy.
I'm going to watch Parenthood and have a lot of feelings now...

I am loving Parenthood this season, I cry at every episode lately, but I think this is the best season. I have it recording, hopefully I can watch it tomorrow at some point.
218 comments in 8 hours. Can someone tell me if it's worth going through? I'm going to get some ice cream real quick and hope someone answers this by the time I get back. Bonus points for a re-cap
Finally caught up! 8 pages since this morning. You all sure had a lot of random thoughts today. I need to just quit my life and bump full time. And I really want a cookie
Sooo we officially can't go see action movies at the theater anymore. DH and I went and saw Lone Survivor (amazing moving BTW), and every time there was a gun fight, baby boy started rolling around all hectic. It was a strange experience.
So, we'll just have to rent for awhile
When I was pregnant with DD sometime mid to late second trimester DH and I went to see Prometheus (prequel to the Alien movies). It was an "interesting" experience to have little miss fetus kicking around in my uterus during the scene where the main female lead had the creepy alien spawn in her abdomen and had to do the self-cesarean. Yikes.
On a better note, the same movie gave me a "sign" that we had made the right name choice. DH had really wanted the name Skye, and I was just warming up to it. In the opening sequence you find out that the characters had made some critical discovery on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It's really silly, but that gave me an extra little boost of confidence in the name!

Yay! Amnio results came back normal! 46 XY, definitely all boy! Now we just wait for our follow up ultrasound on 1/30 and the results of the DNA array in about 2 weeks (typically normal after a normal amnio, but still needs to be done). That's one major load off my shoulders...still some to go, but feeling better!
@aviola329 THAT'S SO GREAT!!! What a relief!! I'm so happy to hear this.
So what's the purpose of the DNA array if the amnio results are normal??
@mamafantastic one of your etsy products is all over Pinterest lately! Hopefully bringing you some business.
oh yeah?? that's fun! which one?
i technically have a pinterest account, but i basically never use it and am almost never on that website, so i never catch stuff like that. sometimes when i see a lot of traffic coming from pinterest (on the days when i bother to check my shop stats, which used to be all the time and is now hardly ever at all) i will go trolling around and do pinterest keyword searches... but those free time days are few and far between now, so i probably miss lots of stuff that i'd otherwise be interested in knowing about.
Oh this dry winter skin. It burns. My hands look just awful. To much washing, not enough lotion. On the upside, we might hit the mid thirties tomorrow!

No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Fasting for tomorrow's 3-hour GD test began a bit over two hours ago. Feel like I'm starving already. So what am I doing? Oh, yeah... looking on the internet for yummy diabetic recipes in case I need them.
Masochist? What's that? >.>
Also, think I've officially reached the point where I can no longer clip my own toenails, and we can't really afford pedicures. By the time April rolls around, I'm going to waddle my ass into the hospital with friggin' harpy talons on my feet. Beware, OB! XD

I've been seeing it nearly every time I'm on and just browsing through baby/kids stuff. Always thought it was like your line but then I finally clicked on it and it was yours. Such a cute pic.
I pinned that from your site before we knew it was a girl!
@aviola329 - OMG, I'm sooooooooooooo happy for you that you got good news today!! T&P's that everything will continue to be good over the next few weeks.
@pineconey - T&P's for your hubbi's (I can't believe I just typed that) job interview tomorrow!
@P&B715 - I would probably still go as long as there was a decent hospital nearby that accepted my insurance. I'm not the type to be worried about having a specific doctor deliver my baby (my OB was actually home sick when I delivered last time) and I tend to not think about things like this (even though I probably should).
@dani+california - does tagging work on your name? I thought that the punctuation ones don't work and if that's the case, it gives me the sads that you can't be tagged appropriately.
@snmetz7 - per my earlier confession, I still love you tons. I just wanted to tag you again so you could be reminded
@mamamonzo - did you throw away the e-cigs? I totally wouldn't even bring it up. DH probably wouldn't want to ask you about it since he went behind your back, but he would know that you knew. Best punishment ever.
To all the other RTT ladies: I LOVE YOU ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH and wish we could be friends IRL.
Other: We are out of ice cream, so I had a skinny cow ice cream sandwich instead. No worries, I fattened it up by dipping it in a mixture of hot fudge and cookie butter.
Sorry I have been MIA. I went and for my 3 hour glucose test today and I was sent over to L&D. I had not felt baby move more than 3 times in almost 24 hours. Even after the potent glucose. I was scared. They did a BPP and he is breech. They think that is why I am not feeling him like I should. I am just grateful he passed the BPP. I could not handle anything happening to him.
AW: I'm so thankful for FaceTime today. My DH had to go out of town for work for the first time since we have been married ( I know I'm way spoiled in that respect) but I'm so thankful I can see his face while I'm talking to him!

That was my first professional shot of the full set, and it remains a favorite! Pinterest does love that one, you're right. Glad to hear it's still making the rounds The photog who shot that set had custom requested the mask and the wired edge (I was previously selling only the fabric cape), so she got the very first wired complete set. I literally just experimented with it until I was happy with the design, and I haven't changed it since. She did a great job with posing the cape mid-air.
So apparently little girl is a cucumber this week. A cucumber seems exponentially smaller than the eggplant, acorn squash or even cauliflower of the last few weeks? Maybe I just don't shop at the right stores for cucumbers...?

It looks like an english cucumber. I think those are the really long ones?
Anyone have a good BRU coupon code for online? The slipcover for the Mombo I registered for is half off right now and I wanna get it but I hate having to pay for shipping on one thing ....
Did you check retailmenot.com? It's my go-to for online coupon codes. The only ones in my new book that work online are: 25% off gDiaper products, 20% off all diaper bags, $6 off Earth's Best diapers (72count or higher) and 20% off all potties, boosters & step stools.
Not stew, per se, but I like to throw a roast that I've seared into the crock pot with a bunch of sliced baby bellas, salt & pepper, and half a bottle of cabernet sauvignon. Could easily throw in potatoes and carrots as well. Liquid left over after solids are pulled out gets simmered with Worcestershire sauce and flour to make a gravy.
Or, chicken titties + cream of chicken soup + chicken stock + poultry seasoning, then torn up biscuit dough from a Pillsbury can during the last hour for dumplings.
So we were suppose to go tour our hospital tonight. But DH got out of class late so we got there 15 min late. Then there was no one at the front desk of the baby unit. So we just left and hopefully when I call we can reschedule. Atleast it's free and we didn't waste any money. But after I was super pissed at DH and almost cried in the car he took me to Buffalo Wild Wings. So I guess he can be forgiven.
DH has an interview tomorrow for a full time job - he's currently an intern working just 15 hours a week... So we need this. I'm currently coaching him on how to answer interview questions (I hire a lot of entry level people in my work) and trying to instill some confidence in him. All of the prayers, happy thoughts, and squishy hugs you can send our way would be great!!!!!
