I'm late to the sex toy party, apparently. So I know we are all pretty intimate here--we know a LOT about what goes in and out of each others' vags, but that swing post nearly made me spit up my cereal this morning.

The thought of my pregnant ass on a swing was too much to handle. And then my mind went a million places like WHY is that romantic? What if it breaks? Will we be seeing a post next week about "I fell off my sex swing, should I call my OB?" So many questions, so few answers!!!

@poru--Love crushed ice, not that your anemia is back. I've been worried about mine too with the amount of ice I've been craving. I seriously go through about 6-7 trays of ice a day just for me! And I've taken to freezing juice into Popsicles for more ice-like treats. Wtf?!

I think a lot of us had similar thoughts re: the sex swing post. I love my husband, and he is a handy, handy man, but I don't know if I'd trust something hand made that's supposed to not only be weight-bearing, but is supposed to take me to the heights of pleasure. I've gotten Charlie horses durning sex, and that's a big mood killer right there. Can't even imagine what crashing to the ground from two feet up right when I'm about to hit the big O would feel like.

So we had to cut our trip to Kids n play (indoor kids park) short today due to this creepy ass old man giving DD a lot of attention. I asked one of the workers that I see often who he was and apparently he was the bus driver for this special needs group that was there. Not a teacher, not a parent.. The fucking bus driver.

From the minute we got there he sat down next to me and started talking to DD and from then on I kept seeing him around her. Not just around her but basically hovering over her. It seemed like every time I looked up, he was next to her or he would walk by when she was with me. He even came up to the table and tried to talk to her while we were eating!! He never said a word to me. Just DD.

I kept calling DD over to me and tried to explain to her that she shouldn't talk to strangers and I didn't like her talking to that man but she's only 3 so to her he's just someone giving her attention, which she loves. Finally I was so bothered by it that we ended up just leaving. I ended up calling the place and talking to the owner about it. She said she would talk to his supervisor and she was happy I told her what happened.

Ugh, what a day. I hope we never see him again. That man needs to learn some boundaries and that it's NOT ok to give some random little girl all of your attention. Fuckin creep.

Just popping in to say sorry for being AWOL the last couple of days. With my unemployment benefit about to run out in two weeks with no sign of the federal government getting their collective heads out of their asses to extend the federal "emergency" benefit, I've been on a massively panicked job hunting and application spree. I spent most of yesterday applying to every temp agency in the state, hoping that they can get me a few short assignments to at least get me something until after this kid shows up, so I'm not running the risk of my employment "not working out" when I have to go on maternity leave a month after starting a new permanent position somewhere.

On the upside, I had a phone screen with a recruiter from Comcast, the company I worked for 6 1/2 years before leaving for more pay & flexibility (only to get laid off a year later); I'm expecting a call very soon from the hiring manager, who happens to be an old colleague of mine from when I worked there...so I know the guy. HELPFUL. Also helpful that I worked there for so long, but havent been gone all that long, so I still have that "internal candidate" appeal.

Andplusalso, there's the distinct possibility that I may be able to talk HR into giving me my seniority back - so my hire date would retro back to 2005, giving me instantly 3 weeks vacation, PLUS maternity leave that = 100% of pay for 6 weeks, then 75% of pay for 6 weeks...THEN 60% of pay for a remaining 14 weeks...and no fear of losing my job before it can actually begin. Cross your fingers and say a million prayers that this guy hires me, ladies!

That got long. Here's an entire batch of guilt-free, "toxin"-free cookie dough if you made it this far.

The only reason I know is because she posted about it in this group I was apart of but left because of some drama that happened about a year ago. Now I'm insecure about what they're saying about me! DD was not listening to me the entire time I was in there so who knows what she thought. Oh well.

My coat stopped zipping up a while ago, the bump isn't THAT big, but my coat was a small and was very fitted at the bottom and I don't really have money to spend on a maternity coat for the one or 2 weeks it gets really cold here...I am just hoping for a mild rest of the winter. :S
------------- When mine doesn't fit anymore I plan on getting a massive winter jacket from Value Village-you could always try that! They're usually about $20-$30.
