My mother is very annoying! I was talking with her about my due date and explaining that if I end up having to schedule a CS because of this placenta thing I'll just schedule it for my EDD. She legit tried to talk me out of a CS and I'm like "mother, are u listening to me? The only way I'll get it is if my placenta hasn't moved. I can't push the baby through my placenta unless u want me to bleed to death!" And then she goes on to tell me that a CS is a major surgery and recovery is gonna be longer. Guess what mom, this may be my first time around these parts but there is this wonderful thing called research. Wtf do you think I'm doing? Letting this pregnancy go by without learning shit? I'm glad you had your twins vaginally but go away!!!! *end rant* sorry about that girls

We're going to the insurance company to maybe get our infant seat today, or at least have one waiting for us in April. Kind of cool!! Also, I officially go on leave at the beginning of February.

Today my plan is to take J to the park for a little while before speech therapy, then take her to speech therapy, then go check out this cloth diaper store. Meanwhile, I'm leaving a list of things for DH to do while I'm gone. *insert evil laugh*

DS was up with a fever and throwing up last night. I hate when my baby is sick! He throws up in his sleep... its terrible. Also a reason why he still sleeps with us, because I am petrified to have him do that when I'm not there. Of course my stomach has been queezy since 4 am. Here's hoping I don't start too

That would annoy me too. I guess she just doesn't understand why you might have to have a CS.

Also, all this talk of Dunkin Donuts is killing me. I don't have one within 1000 miles of me. Yeah, I have access to hip artisan kooky Portland donuts, but they suck. I just want DD!

Irrationally angry at my dh right now, he ate the last of the bread on his 3 massive sandwiches and never asked if I wanted bread. I wanted pb&j for lunch!!

he could have had spaghettios, ramen noodles, hot dogs, lunchables, bagel bites, tuna pouch (I don't eat any of that) but nope he ate my last lunch item..ughhh..cake for lunch?

DH is sweet. He made me cry yesterday and felt so bad about it he even sat down this morning to apologize to me again. He decided to not go into work so he could spend the day with me (I have the day off). Anyways, yesterday I was experiencing BH and he went into research mode. This a.m. he told me the Dr. Hicks was a man (gasp! ), how would he know what women were going through?! I had to remind him that back in the day usually women didn't become doctors... he is adorable.

DH was surprised by how not bitchy I was after Saturday night's escapades--apparently he expected me to yell at him? I explained that I love him, was worried about how sick he was, and of course it wouldn't be happening again. It led to a discussion of what would I have done if my water had broken at the party where everyone was too drunk to drive to the hospital? So I think he understands now.

Stupid cold Minnesota weather means DH's car didn't start this morning, so my plans of hitting up our Asian grocery are out. Buuuuut I'll probably get a text at 5pm asking if he can bring anything home which may be a blessing in disguise! We are sorely out of sweets here, so I'm reduced to making English muffins just as a vehicle to get Nutella in my belly.

Woo hoo! H and I finally made the final decision on baby naming. My SIL wanted us to decide so she could incorporate it into the baby shower and so she could make him some stuff so that sped up the process a little bit. I'm excited

Our office is closed today, so I'm the only full time staff person here. It's a PTO day so I'd have to use my own time off to take the day... And i don't wanna. A quiet office (minus the preschoolers down the hall) and no phone calls = heaven.

Random thoughts:

Perogies are AWESOME.

I'd like some doritos.

I'm going to Ikea on Saturday and I hope its not a nut house and they have my chair in stock by then.

I just popped a bag of homestyle popcorn and I know I shouldnt eat it all but OMG, its delicious... Sigh.

I would totally switch cable providers if they took away a channel I watched a lot. Seriously.

I don't care if I ate macaroni and cheese last night at 10:00 because I slept for 4 hours straight just after... It was amazing and the most sleep I've had in about 4 months! WOO!

I think that covered everything I wanted to reply to, lol.

I need to get my stuff together and finish painting the nursery stripes, and clean out the closet of all the holiday decorations... SIGH.

I would just do OTC. It's more or less the same and you're going to do more damage scratching between now and Friday. :-( Those are the worst.

OMFG why does my mother think I'm her personal fucking assistant?!?!!!! And now she's volunteering me to do shit for her friends! GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!! Why in the fuck did she just text me that one of her friends needs me to list his truck and other shit on Craigslist? She didn't even ask if I would be ok with it, just "Deej, John needs you to post his truck and other stuff on Craigslist, he sent me some pics but idk how to fwd them to you. How do I do that?" I seriously wanna TP this woman right now. It's like today is annoy Deidre day! She just managed to piss me off and the fact that I barely have groceries does NOT help!

It could be excess fluid! I have a friend who was told she was way ahead and actually had a 7lb baby. Which sucked because she gave away all the nb diapers from her diaper cake thinking she wouldn't need them. Turns out she had a ridiculous amount if amniotic fluid.

This^^ or if they measured fundal height then it could be the position of baby. Ultrasounds are known to be off too or baby could have had a growth spurt and will the growth will level off. I measured 2 weeks ahead with DS and he was born right at 7 lbs.

Ugh trying to get motivated to get out of bed and start sorting through more totes of stuff, but finding it ridiculously hard. Baby got me worried this weekend by not kicking as much, and now that he is awake, I just want to lay here and feel him kick all day.

Our crib is supposed to arrive today, so I need to make the space for it but thanks to Mr. Hangover our nursery still has dozens of totes in it. Grrrr

Do you guys think its weird to post selfies on FB before you have surgery? Like, showing you with the compression stocking on, showing you with the oxygen in your nose, showing the IV. I just find this really odd and attention grabby.
